No worries jen! Easily done!
Literally everyone has moods. So it's a pretty standard thing to ask! Pain is better thanks! Still there, but better. Thanks! Sweets is a good idea. Kids love sweets! I'm super irritable today lol Kept getting stuck behind slow people and then people taking up entire aisles and standing exactly where i needed to be! |
Less pain ftw.
Sweets could work OSC, thanks for the odea. Alas they have a load of dietary needs so usually we have to go to a big store to get things suitable for them and I do not have big store energy levels today!. I have made a card. I expect it will be ok, they do love just spending time with us and we are seeing them again tomorrow at their party. You need a bicycle bell for the slow people Beckie XD |
I'm sure it'll be fine!
I do! I ended up just glaring. Also annoying was a train coming in as I was walking across the station bridge into town and people being d*cks. It's quite a narrow bridge and they were just flooding up the steps. Ugh. |
Slow people are frustrating but I try to think they might have a good reason for having to go slow. Still irritating though! People stopping for a chat in the supermarket can be annoying. You're not the only person who would be irritated, Beckie! Well done for getting through it!
A handmade card is always lovely, I hope your visit goes well and the party goes well too. Will your gift have arrived so you can give them it tomorrow? I hope all the visiting isn't too much for you. |
I know. Still annoying when you just want to get things done!
House is clean and I am clean! So been a successful day so far! And my favourite cheese salad was in the reduced section! How's your day going? |
Well done for being on top of things. :-) I hope everything continues well. That's a win with your cheese salad too. I've been eating chunks of Wensleydale with cranberries. When are you going out?
I got up at a time that I was pleased with and I've done everything on my to do list, so I'm glad of that. |
Thank you!
The bathroom and kitchen were really stressing me out so I'm glad it's done! Oooh that sounds tasty! We're meeting at 7:30. Spoons is in town so only a 10 min walk. Sounds like a successful day for you too! |
Yay cheap tasty food!
Double yay Wensleydale and cranberry, that's one of my favourite cheeses OSC. Congrats to everyone on successful chores and to do lists. Visit went ok. Although bless Kid whose birthday it is they have an eye infection and they were a bit overwhelmed. We took it gentle and just spent some quiet time together, we asked them if they wanted card today or tomorrow and they said tomorrow. So will do card tomorrow. along with present (which should be arriving tonight/ tomorrow morning). I am doing ok with the peopling and doing things for now. I am a bit exhausted though. Chilling now before dinner then RPG after dinner fighting some war machines. |
Reminds me of Wallace and gromit. Cheeeese!
Peopling can indeed be exhausting! |
Morning everyone!
|
(Late) morning Beckie :)
How are things today?? |
Morning :)
|
Hey guys!
I'm ok. Just back from taekwondo! FINALLY I've managed to learn the next pattern for my grading (dan-gun) I was really struggling with it but something has just clicked! How are you guys? |
Morning nearly afternoon.
Well done, Beckie! :-) Have you got much else on today? How are you both, Tamo and Kat? What's everyone getting up to today? |
Just done pilates and now waiting in a very long queue for meds and also need to go to asda as usual!
Nothing else to do really so a pretty chill day! |
Maybe you'll get to skip the queue again because you're special to the chemist! I hope you get everything you need in Asda. What do you do on days when you don't have much to do?
|
Well done Cacoethes.
Hi osc, how are you? I'm ok, enjoying reading. Got the Crisis Team coming for the last time later. |
What are you reading, Tamo? Are you ok with this being the last visit?
I've done all my tasks for today so trying to find other things to do. Even though I'm reading Cathy Glass's new book it's still hard to focus on reading. I need to tidy up some boxes under my desk but it seems like too much work! |
I unfortunately did not get to skip the queue this time!
Also went to asda, saw cucumbers for 35p but they were 75p on the till. I asked the self service lady and she said it was half cucumbers. I went back to check and it definitely said whole cucumbers 35p. So went to customer service and she gave me the difference in change. They were actually 75p and it was an error, but I'm pretty sure there's a law where things have to be sold at the marked price, even if it's wrongful. So got lucky! They'll change it now no doubt, so luckily i got 2 XD Usually i wouldn't bother but I'm so broke rn that literally every penny counts! Usually just binge watch whatever I'm watching at the time! It's the walking dead atm. Just put on a second load of washing. My dobok is the only white clothing i own so has to be washed separately annoyingly. I used to love Cathy glass books. Rather depressing though! |
Hey guys,
2 cucumbers for under the price of 1 is a win. Yay for incorrect signage! I am feeling a bit sad as I wasn't feeling well enough this morning and had to miss family member'd birthday party. Feeling a little better now but still in bed. Might pop to theirs to give their presents later if I feel better. |
Tis indeed!
The guinea pigs have cucumber every day so i get through a lot! That's a shame. You can't help feeling unwell though! Resting sounds like the right option! |
You're very savvy, Beckie. If I noticed something at a higher price than it said I'd probably just pay that price. Or I wouldn't have looked at the price to begin with.
I never wash colours and whites separately and only had things go pink-ish once. I guess you wouldn't want to risk it with your dobok though. I'm sorry you're not feeling great, Jen. Put yourself first and only go to give presents later if it's going to be ok for you. |
I need every single penny right now!
And I have to add up as I go along because otherwise I'd end up with my card being declined, which is always embarrassing! I got it wrong today anyway and had to take the bananas back. Definitely don't want to risk it! My white vest top is already grey but it goes underneath so doesn't matter, but doboks aren't cheap! You can tell some people don't wash them separately and it looks a bit scruffy. |
Thanks for the reassurance I am doing the right thing OSC and Beckie. Even if it sucks somewhat getting worse because I overdo it would suck more. It's hard to put myself first as the unhelpful thoughts chime in but I am trying.
You definitely don't want a scruffy Dobok Beckie. I imagine it fills up quite a bit of the washing machine at once Amway if it's anything like my friend's jiu-jitsu uniform |
Thing is, if you push yourself to do more, you'll end up needing to rest for even longer, which in turn will probably make you more frustrated.
So definitely best to take it easy! It is very thick so yes it does! I'm not familiar with the jiu jitsu uniform but I think pretty much all martial arts have similar ones to each other! |
Martial arts uniforms often seem to be combat pyjamas crossed with dressing gowns!
|
Yeah pretty much! XD
Gets VERY hot in the summer! I was overheating during my last grading (was just me thankfully!) And managed to get through it but I must have looked very warm and the instructor seemed rather concerned and made me stand by the open door! Doesn't help that the heating is always on full blast this time of year! |
Are any public places getting the temperature right? A lot are either too hot or freezing. I think hospitals keep their heating on all the time.
|
Hospitals are always boiling!
The centre i go to for taekwondo and glow beatz is on a school site, i think it gets used for some classes like drama class. At glow beatz a few weeks ago, they forgot to turn the heating off after a drama class. That was a VERY hot class! L hadn't realised and sent out a mass apology email XD Also the gym has been very warm lately. My glasses steam up soon as i walk into the building! I think probably because of the pool though mainly. And i believe it's also one of the 'warm spaces' in town. Don't know if you have them where you are but certain places are opening their doors to people who want to stay warm and can't put the heating on at home. The labour hall is also offering washing facilities which is nice. |
Yeah, we have warm spaces too. Mostly churches and libraries I think.
|
Our library is closed for refurbishment until the summer but there are lots of other places. I think it was one though!
Both good and sad that places have to do this. |
Lots of things are scary these days. We're in a mess.
|
We are indeed.
|
But there are nice little things too :) My positives jar has some things in it already.
|
That's brilliant! :)
I'm just ticking along and trying to keep busy And not think about all the overdue bills lol |
That's really great osc.
I'm pleased to have finished with the Crisis Team. I thought I was going to need lots of support staying safe but it turns out I'm ok :) |
That's good news
|
Well obviously I wasn't well enough to go out. I fell asleep sometime after 3pm and didn't wake up until 8:30. Hopefully I can sleep tonight I think I probably will as I already feel tired. Zzzzz....
Great news about being ok and feeling you can stay safe Tamo. Good sign you already have positives in your jar OSC. |
Sorry to hear that.
Hope you slept ok! Morning everyone |
Late morning again :)
I disappeared yesterday. My back started hurting again in the muscle i pulled. By evening it Got so bad i had to just go to bed. Didn't get much sleep though but fortunately today the painkillers actually work so i feel a bit more able to be a human. How are you, Beckie??? Doing anything today?? |
Oh no! Sounds awful.
I'm glad the painkillers have worked though! I'm ok. Double pilates now then opticians appointment. Will spot clean the boys cage too. Pilates finishes at 12:20 and optician is at 1:55 which is very annoying. I'm too lazy to go home and come back into town so I've borrowed some money from my friend so i can get a coffee! |
I'm glad you can at least have a coffee while you wait :)
I just threw out an entire net of mandarines. They felt weird and smelled a bit nasty when i attempted to peel some of them :( Sundays are boring. And also a bit sad because even though i don't work, i get stressed about monday and a new week. Which is weird…!!! How are Merry and Pippin?? Do they get into many shenanigans??? |
I'm glad the painkillers are helping Zurg. Try not to get too stressed! Is there anything you're looking forward to?
I hope your trip to the opticians isn't expensive Cacoethes! |
Oh no! That's disappointing. Love a mandarin.
I get that. I work mondays but even when i didn't it was a bit like 'here we go again' They are good! They turf veggies they don't want out of their bowls which is a little annoying but other than that, they are pretty well behaved! It's just a contact lense check up. I had the expensive appointment the other week XD |
Afternoon everyone.
I hope you can get on top of your back pain, Kat. I've pulled a muscle in my back before too so I know what it can be like. Mandarins and other similar fruit sometimes last ages and sometimes go mouldy quickly which is a shame. I've got some easy peelers from Asda but they're tiny and sour. They sent me kid size apples too. Very annoying. I also get stressed about a new week starting. Sounds like a kind of busy day for you, Beckie although I wonder if you'll challenge me on that belief! How are you, Tamo? |
Haha!
You know me too well :tongue2: It's not massively busy. Only a few things. Majority of the day i won't be doing much. How are you? |
Afternoon all. Just a quick note to say that the dwp are sending out letters about the increased benefit rates from 12 April. I have received one lately so don't panic if you receive one.
|
I'm ok thanks osc. I've found a book a like so I've been reading that. Just having lunch now :) I've asked my mum to show me how to change the washing machine because I just used the setting it was left on and dyed my lovely cream dress grey!
How are you osc? |
Thanks for the warning insig!
|
I hope you can have a good balance, Beckie.
You know everything about everything, Dawn! How are you today? It's always good to be able to get into a book and enjoy it. :) What are you having for lunch? Oh no for dying your dress! I hope there is a way you can get it back to white. You'll need to have a lesson on what all the settings mean on the washing machine. I always leave mine on one setting though and everything turns out fine. I also don't do separate washings of colours and whites and it works out ok. Hope I haven't jinxed that! I wash on a low temperature though, I think. I'm ok in this moment. Hoping it won't change. |
