Good decision then!

It's ok. Just feels weird and really surreal at the moment. We never do a big Christmas anyway, but still...

What plans have they got for you tomorrow? =/

Cacoethes 24-12-2020 04:22 PM

Same here really. It's mainly present opening (for Jasmine mostly!) And a Christmas dinner. The rest is just chilling.

No idea. Hopefully they'll just leave me alone.

nonperson 24-12-2020 04:26 PM

I hope so.

Maybe you should tell them you're a Jehovah's Witness or something. They shouldn't really force Christmas on everyone, especially in a confined space. =(

Cacoethes 24-12-2020 04:35 PM

That's a good idea. I'll tell them that!
They probably won't believe me though

nonperson 24-12-2020 05:58 PM

No, they probably won't. =(

I've just changed my bedding and flipped the mattress. About to watch the Snowman.

My neighbours left a little present for my cat on the doorstep. =)

Cacoethes 24-12-2020 06:10 PM

Well done!

Aww that’s cute

nonperson 24-12-2020 06:12 PM

It's cheered me up. It was addressed to my cat from their cat too which is even cuter.

Cacoethes 24-12-2020 06:45 PM

Awwww so sweet!

not_so_insig 24-12-2020 06:47 PM

I considered getting Molly (Lorraine's cat) a present but been as it would have gone separately and with the mail being slow it weren't worth it. Maybe next year.

nonperson 24-12-2020 06:55 PM

Aw I remember little Molly.

not_so_insig 24-12-2020 07:22 PM

She's grown up now and is according to Lorraine "a wee madam".

yoyogirl 24-12-2020 11:24 PM

Oh **** one of my best friend from the chronic illness community also has corona virus and is now on a ventilator. I hope she makes it through. I have known over 11 years and it will be so sad if she doesn’t make it through.
Please S kick that Corona’s butt.

nonperson 25-12-2020 09:51 AM

That's rough, yoyo.

Morning everyone where ever you are and whatever you're all doing. <3

yoyogirl 25-12-2020 10:09 AM

Merry Christmas to you all

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 10:38 AM

Hey guys
They are playing charades in the lounge which i am desperately trying to avoid

one_step_closer 25-12-2020 10:39 AM

Morning everyone. Look after yourselves especially today.

one_step_closer 25-12-2020 10:39 AM

Are you allowed in your room to get away from it Beckie?

nonperson 25-12-2020 11:20 AM

Look after yourself too, Lindsay.

I'm so sorry, Beckie. =( You should stay on the phone all day and set up a hectic schedule of video calls so that you can't be forced to join in.

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 11:34 AM

And you lindsay

They keep trying to kick me out of my room but I keep refusing. They said I definitely need to come out at 12. Which is when we have lunch so they'll probably lock it while I'm out of my room then.
They keep trying to make deals with me

I would do np but I hate video calls!

nonperson 25-12-2020 12:00 PM

Hmm, same. Maybe pretend to be in the middle of a phone call any time someone approaches you then!

Hopefully they won't lock you out for too long.

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 12:26 PM

That's a good idea!

I think they said I could go back in at 1

not_so_insig 25-12-2020 12:50 PM

I have opened my presents. I got an classic Doctor Who dvd from Lorraine.

nonperson 25-12-2020 02:16 PM

Nice. Which Doctor is it?

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 02:18 PM

We all got a present from the ward.
Fluffy socks, a colouring book, a notebook and a stress ball

Tom Baker.

Hope they allow you to colour Beckie.

nonperson 25-12-2020 02:40 PM

That's nice of them.

Stress ball though, really? >.>

nonperson 25-12-2020 02:40 PM

He's the best old Doctor. =) I've met him and he gave me a jelly baby.

tamobhuuta 25-12-2020 03:03 PM

I find stress balls good for throwing at walls.

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 03:13 PM

Thanks Dawn
I'm not really that into colouring but I might try it

The stress ball is quite fun to squeeze

nonperson 25-12-2020 03:43 PM

Well I'm glad you're finding some fun in it. I just thought it was a bit of a cheesy gift, considering. =)

Definitely worth giving the colouring a go. Even if it's just something to pass a bit of time.

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 04:04 PM

Oh it is a really cheesy gift!

Yeah that's true

I'm watching monty pythons Life of Brian

nonperson 25-12-2020 04:08 PM

Love that film!

I don't know whether to go for a walk or not...

tamobhuuta 25-12-2020 04:11 PM

Best line ever? He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 04:15 PM

A walk could be nice np

That's a good one tamo
Blessed are the cheesemakers!!

nonperson 25-12-2020 04:15 PM

Totally! =D

I like "Blessed are the cheesemakers" too.

nonperson 25-12-2020 04:15 PM

LOL, Beckie. XD

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 04:20 PM

Haha! Great minds!

nonperson 25-12-2020 05:29 PM

=P

Just got back from a cold dark walk. Think I feel a bit better for it.

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 05:34 PM

That's good np
Wish I could go for a walk!

nonperson 25-12-2020 05:38 PM

Aw I'm sorry. If it's any consolation it's really bloody cold out there!

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 05:56 PM

Thanks . I probably wouldn't enjoy it as I've only got my hoodie with me. No coat. So I'd most likely freeze and be miserable

nonperson 25-12-2020 06:02 PM

Yeah, being outside without the correct attire is never nice. To be honest it wasn't the most relaxing walk as it was in the dark and because there are no street lights I'm constantly expecting a person to jump out at me. Heard some guy's voices somewhere in the distance which freaked me out for a bit.

The fresh air and activity probably did me good though.

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 06:23 PM

That does sound freaky!

Fresh air and activity is always good though

nonperson 25-12-2020 06:42 PM

It certainly made me hungry.

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 07:07 PM

Yes it does that!
Do you have anything yummy to eat?

nonperson 25-12-2020 09:28 PM

Yeah I got home and made my mishmash Christmas dinner. =)

Cacoethes 25-12-2020 09:44 PM

Nice!

nonperson 25-12-2020 09:50 PM

It wasn't bad. More like a casserole though with added parsnips. Filled a hole!

Cacoethes 26-12-2020 11:16 AM

Morning guys

not_so_insig 26-12-2020 11:19 AM

Morning Beckie how goes it in ip land?

As a side note I just realised today that my Christmas card to felix and bolt the Huddersfield Station cats has been featured on their Facebook page. Am happy.
