It is certainly a crime not to have watched LOTR.

My day is going ok, thanks. Finished work, seen my friend, got curry for dinner. Not sure what to do with myself right now though...

one_step_closer 07-01-2018 07:15 PM

Sounds like a good day. Maybe you can join the LOTR watching.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 07:15 PM

Dirty Dancing is awful
I hate that type of film though!

Sounds like a good day nonperson

one_step_closer 07-01-2018 07:16 PM

Well I will quote you Beckie if I'm ever again told to watch Dirty Dancing!

Aubergine 07-01-2018 07:17 PM

Of course you have have a drink and a biscuit if you sit nicely, Lindsay! :D

Loved LOTR! It is rather shocking that you haven't watched it! I've not seen Dirty Dancing either though, so you're not alone there. Don't think it would really be my kind of thing.

Hey Person! What are your options for right now?

nonperson 07-01-2018 07:19 PM

I've also not seen Dirty Dancing and don't intend to.

Hi Aubergine! My options are... dinner (but it's too early cos I just snacked), watched Rogue One again or go play some piano.

But I feel too pooped for all of that.

one_step_closer 07-01-2018 07:21 PM

But do I have to go and get my own drink and biscuit or will it magically appear?

I feel terrible about not watching LOTR now (no I don't!). I did think about trying to read one of the books though.

I'm going to see to my friend's cat now. Hope my car windows aren't all frosty or steamed up. Hate this weather.

Aubergine 07-01-2018 07:22 PM

What's Rogue One? Piano sounds good! I bought one! :D Tinkle tinkle little keys. I also got some stickers to put on the keys so that it makes it a bit easier to learn things. That's if I'm learning stuff from a book and not making it up as a go along!

I'm sorry you're so tired. Maybe just rest for a while?

one_step_closer 07-01-2018 07:23 PM

Nonperson, I hate being in that situation where I don't feel up to doing certain things and can't think of anything else to do. Not fun. I have no suggestions though, sorry!

Aubergine 07-01-2018 07:25 PM

The biscuit and drink are magic and will arrive in your lap as soon as you are sat down being well behaved! :P

I find Tolkien so difficult to read. The films are amazing, but I find the books pretty droll. They're so wordy and I lost interest pretty quickly.

nonperson 07-01-2018 07:29 PM

Rogue One is a Star Wars film.

Aubergine - I found a massive pdf of Einaudi sheet music for free - can give you the link if you're interested.

I liked reading LotR actually. When I was avoiding college I used to go to the library and literally sit there and read them all day. The films miss out so much stuff. The Silmarillion is a completely different thing to read though - very hard going.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 07:35 PM

Rouge one is a good film!

I loved the LOTR books too.
They do require some concentration though!
I would love to live in LOTR land. After all the bad stuff is over of course!
Theres a couple of guys in my local coffee shop with tattoos of elvish writing. They've both been and seen all the set and stuff in New Zealand. Id love to go!!!

Aubergine 07-01-2018 07:36 PM

Oh yes please! Message me the link - that would be great. Thanks. :)

Oh I see! I'm not very up with Star Wars, though I do like the films when I watch them. Not sure if I've seen that one though.

nonperson 07-01-2018 07:45 PM

It's been out for ages but I only watched it for the first time last weekend. It's set before the original films. There's a bit of dodgy CGI but otherwise it's pretty awesome. =)

Aubergine 07-01-2018 07:49 PM

Sounds good! :)

I haven't watched a film for ages. I have Netflix, but I tend to watch TV programmes on it rather than films.

I'm wondering what to have for dinner. I'm thinking maybe crackers and cream cheese with some grapes or something. That's something I don't have to cook! I'm all for easy food...

Sketchy 07-01-2018 07:54 PM

Crackers and cheese is always good Aubergine.

I don’t know what I’m going to have for dinner. I’m not hungry yet.

I had a long nap today which was good, and now I’m in my living room having a diet irn bru.

Aubergine 07-01-2018 08:00 PM

Maybe you'll fancy something when you get a bit hungry. :) Nap sounds great! Well done for sitting in your living room again. :)

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:12 PM

Thanks.

Aubergine 07-01-2018 08:13 PM

I don't think I've ever had Irn Bru! What does it taste like?

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 08:16 PM

Irn bru is nice
Haven't had it in years
Its hard to describe the taste!

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:19 PM

Beckie is right. It’s hard to describe the taste. It’s nice though. Most Scottish people like their irn bru.

TV is rubbish tonight. I might put a dvd on.

nonperson 07-01-2018 08:24 PM

It tastes like Scotland. =)

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:25 PM

It’s tasty!

What’s everyone up to tonight?

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 08:28 PM

It does taste like Scotland! Lol!

Aubergine 07-01-2018 08:29 PM

I might have to try some one day! It always looks inviting - it's very orange!

I've never been to Scotland. I went up to Carlisle once though, so was nearly there! It's a problem with living down south. Scotland is very far away! Looks such a pretty place though; I'll visit one day.

I'm eating dinner and listening to music. Got an artist radio station playing on Spotify. How about you?

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:33 PM

You should definitely visit Aubergine! There’s so many pretty places to go. And the cities have a lot to offer. I love living in Glasgow. But I love going to the see places like Oban or the islands Arran and Bute.

Music sounds good. I’m channel hopping. I might get my sewing out.

Aubergine 07-01-2018 08:36 PM

I have a friend who now lives in Oban who has invited me to stay with her, so maybe I could do that this year sometime. :) The pictures she posts look amazing!

Sewing sounds good. What are you making?

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:39 PM

You should take her up on the offer. I’m going to Oban this year for a few days with my sister. I haven’t been there in years, so I’m looking forward to it.

I’m making little bags, but I might try something more adventurous. I’d like to make an apron for when I’m painting.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 08:39 PM

It is worth visiting!
It is a very long way for me too.
Prices range from £55-110 for the train!
And would take like 7 hours
Would Probably be cheaprr to fly!

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:46 PM

Trains are so expensive. I haven’t seen much of England and I’ve never been to London, which I’d like to see.

Aubergine 07-01-2018 08:50 PM

An apron for painting sounds like a really good idea. :)

Trains really are expensive. I went to visit friends up in Lancaster in the middle of December and it was so pricey, even with a rail card that gives 1/3 off.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 08:50 PM

Ive just checked and flights from london to Glasgow are at the most £30
Weird!

London can be pretty cool
Camden is my fav place

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:52 PM

This year I’m going to Oban and Amsterdam, so maybe I’ll try go to London next year.

It’s weird that planes are cheaper!

Aubergine 07-01-2018 08:55 PM

That's really good!

I remember going on a duck tour of London a few years ago and it was amazing! Going into the Thames from the walkway was awesome, but a bit freaky. We also went on the London Eye, which was great. It was a special trip to London with my Nan and my Aunt. It was Christmas time and we went to see Harrods all lit up. <3

Sketchy 07-01-2018 08:56 PM

That sounds great Aubergine. I really want to see London now.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 09:00 PM

That sounds good Lorraine!

I went on a duck tour last year!
It was brilliant!
I went on the London eye when i was a kid, my poor brothrr was absolutely terrified!!
I went the millennium dome as well when that was a thing. It was really cool. Shame they closed it!

Aubergine 07-01-2018 09:04 PM

Definitely come to London next year, Lorraine! Amsterdam sounds good. When are you going?

Hehe, so was my Nan. She sat on the thing in the middle of the pod and wouldn't come near the window to look at things properly! She was so funny. Can't really believe we got her on the duck tour. She used to be scared of most things!

Millennium dome sounded so cool! I know people who have walked on the top of it!

Sketchy 07-01-2018 09:06 PM

What is a duck tour?

I’m going to Amsterdam in August. Can’t wait. I’ve been before, but that was ten years ago.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 09:06 PM

Thats what my brother did.
While in floods of tears!
The duck tour is really cool though.
Although as you said, a bit freaky when you go into the water

Oh wow!
I dont think I'd be able to do tbat!

Aubergine 07-01-2018 09:08 PM

Oh nice! I hope you have a lovely time. 10 years is a long time, so it'll be good to go again and see how things have changed/not changed!

Sketchy 07-01-2018 09:09 PM

That looks cool.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 09:17 PM

Amsterdam looks like a really cool place

nonperson 07-01-2018 09:22 PM

I want to visit Scotland.

Travelling makes me nervous. x.X

Sketchy 07-01-2018 09:22 PM

If you guys visit Scotland I can be tour guide!

nonperson 07-01-2018 09:23 PM

I already have a tour guide lined up.

But thanks. =P

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 09:24 PM

I quite like long journeys.
As long as I have a seat and some films on my tablet!

Sounds good Lorraine!!

Sketchy 07-01-2018 09:26 PM

I like train journeys. I love getting the train to the seaside.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 09:28 PM

The seaside is fun!

Sketchy 07-01-2018 09:30 PM

I think you should always have chips by the seaside. Yum.

Cacoethes 07-01-2018 09:32 PM

Oh definitely!
