Cacoethes 28-04-2018 08:29 PM

You are lucky Aubergine!
What a lovely place it must be!

Petting zoo sounds pretty cool!
And I'm sure glasgow isn't that bad :p

Pomegranate 28-04-2018 09:15 PM

I’ve never been to Glasgow but it sounds nice.

You’re up late Beckie :-p. Glad you had a good day with the family.

I’m just planning trips out with my friends kids :-)

Cacoethes 28-04-2018 09:17 PM

Haha! I am shattered tbh

Sounds good.emma!

Aubergine 28-04-2018 09:19 PM

Oh trips out sound lovely! Where are you going to go?

I really enjoyed babay cuddles yesterday. Actually wish I could have more. It's quite relaxing cuddling a sleeping baby, especially one as lovely as my friends' baby. <3

Bed soon, Beckie?

Cacoethes 28-04-2018 09:27 PM

Cuddling a sleeping baby is definitely relaxing.
Although I haven't done that in a while, my baby is nearly 6!
Will you be seeing them again soon?

Really hope I can get to bed tonight.
Im going to try without prn so we shall see!

Pomegranate 28-04-2018 09:32 PM

Omg!! I was thinking she was still about three Beckie!

Well, I took one of them to the London museum and St. Paul’s and hamleys last weekend. Thinking about taking her and her brother to the Natural History museum and then a boat tour on the Thames and hamleys again :-)

Cacoethes 28-04-2018 09:34 PM

Time really flies!!
She's such a grown up girl now

That sounds lovely Emma!
I bet they'll love that

Pomegranate 28-04-2018 09:37 PM

Thanks! I’m hoping so. They’ve only been to London once and they’re 7 and 11! So now my mission is to take them to the classic museums etc! We’re only 25mins from Paddington as well!

Aubergine 28-04-2018 09:39 PM

That sounds great, Emma! They're going to love it!

I really want something sweet to eat. Might make a hot chocolate or something.

I can't believe your baby is six, Beckie. I remember from way back when she was tiny!

nonperson 28-04-2018 09:42 PM

Hullo.

Cacoethes 28-04-2018 09:43 PM

That sounds great emma!
The science museum is also cool

Hot chocolate is always good aubergine!

I know! It's crazy!

Hey nonperson!
How are you?

nonperson 28-04-2018 09:45 PM

Hi Beckie. I've just survived the shop, it was especially quiet... Also bought the most random stuff.

How's everyone?

Pomegranate 28-04-2018 09:48 PM

Hey NP! Well done for surviving the shop!

I heard somewhere the science museum launch pad bit was closed- the interactive part- any idea if that’s true?

Hot chicolate sounds good Aubergine.

nonperson 28-04-2018 09:51 PM

Hot chocolate is always nice as a sweet treat. I've been doing that a lot lately.

No idea about the Science Museum, never been!

Cacoethes 28-04-2018 09:53 PM

Well done nonperson!
Glad the shop was quiet

Im not sure emma. I havent been in a while
I've been quite a few times though and its always been fun!

nonperson 28-04-2018 09:58 PM

I'm glad it was quiet too, although I was really intimidated by the people/kids on the checkouts who were sitting there looking very bored. =/

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:05 PM

I use to be one of those kids, Person! Worked in Sainsbury's from when I was 16 until I finished 6th form at 18. It was horrendous. Boring, grumpy people. Christmas time working on a checkout is just the worst! Take pity on them. It's more stressful than you think. :P

What did you buy? I like random!

I would may hot chocolate, but I have a cat sleeping on me! Must. Not. Move. :P

Science museum is amazing! I'm not sure about the closure though. Could you have a look on their website?

Pomegranate 28-04-2018 10:07 PM

They probably were bored lol. I hated working in retail!

Cacoethes 28-04-2018 10:08 PM

I worked at boots during Christmas.
Not fun!

Oh no aubergine! You can't possibly move now!!

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:11 PM

Retail sucks. I worked in Boots too. For two years. Christmas was annoying. They used to sell alcohol gift sets, but it is illegal to sell alcohol in a pharmacy, so people used to queue at the healthcare counter and get really, really annoyed when I sent them away to the main tills. Community pharmacy did my nut in. Much prefer hospital stuff.

chinahorse 28-04-2018 10:15 PM

Retails a nightmare! Why didn't you like community pharmacy?

I'm half way through putting clean sheets on and am taking a rest lol. Regretting having so many pillows!

nonperson 28-04-2018 10:17 PM

I'm not judging checkout people, I know it's a horrible job. Done a little bit of it myself in a garden centre and that was bad enough. People just intimidate me in general!

What did I buy...? Actually I bought an aubergine! And more Ritz crackers and the usual lunch stuff, samosas, sausage rolls, squash, an onion... and a lot of alcohol. =/ There was more random stuff but I can't remember. It was like... none of the stuff could be used together for any meals... I worry what the checkout people must think of me when they put my stuff through... Oh well.

nonperson 28-04-2018 10:18 PM

OH and I have a few aubergine plants at work too! =D Makes me think of you every time now, Aubergine!

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:20 PM

Are you glad you're out of retail, Lillie? You were great at it, but it did sound so stressful for you!

Well done on the clean sheets. How many pillows do you have?

Community pharmacy is very repetative, dispensing wise. It's mostly repeat stuff and antibiotics. Repeat stuff you don't even have to type anything, and antibiotics have very similar directions! You don't really learn anything about medications or counselling, because you don't really do any. Or, that was my experience. Medication is generally handed out with no advice, whereas in the hospital there's a lot more to learn. To get your teeth into, you know? We do more specialist drugs too, that can only be prescribed by a consultant, so there's those to learn about. Then there's all of the infusions and stuff. Then there's oncology and all of the oral chemotherapy protocols to learn about etc. It's just far more brain work, which most of the time I like.

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:21 PM

Hehe. I know that you weren't judging them, Person. :)

Hooray for Aubergines!

nonperson 28-04-2018 10:27 PM

Hooray indeed. =D

Edit: For both the edible and non-edible kind. ;-)

chinahorse 28-04-2018 10:29 PM

Aubergines make me think of you too! Glad I'm not the only one no.

Ahh I see about the repetition. For me unless I'm learning or things are varied I get bored and make mistakes. Do you find the same?

I have 7. 2 I put a protector on as well as the pillowcase. I'm just lying on my bed now which isn't achieving a duvet cover or my make up off or teeth brushed :/

Lol at your shop NP, those random ones are the best kind!!

nonperson 28-04-2018 10:32 PM

Makes me wonder a little why you called yourself Aubergine? I mean they are amazing shiny purple vegetables which is amazing in itself!

I had a shopping list and everything... There was a sort of plan to it really.

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:34 PM

Hehe. :) It' funny, isn't it? People you've never met, who you often don't even know the name of, pop up in your head throughout the day for various reasons. I do think of you a lot.

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:35 PM

I'm the same, Lillie. I need to be doing lots of different things, or I get bored and complecent and mistakes are made. That's why I used to forget to put jam in the doughnuts I used to make for a living...

Cacoethes 28-04-2018 10:36 PM

I'm another one who thinks of you when I see aubergines!!

I'm going to try and sleep.
Wish me luck!!
Night all

nonperson 28-04-2018 10:37 PM

This might sound a bit silly, but I think sometimes it's because "internet people" are often more on the same wavelength.

I had a brief thought of revealing my real name then!

nonperson 28-04-2018 10:37 PM

Goodnight Beckie!

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:42 PM

That's possibly it, Person. Internet people know more about me than non-internet people!

chinahorse 28-04-2018 10:51 PM

That made me giggle aubergine as forgetting one of the main ingredients in milk in a milkshake is something I used to do also!

Night beckie x

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:55 PM

Hehe! I'm glad it's not just me, Lillie. :D I got told off because someone who worked in Morrissons bought some of the jamless doughnuts and told the bakery manager... :P

Aubergine 28-04-2018 10:55 PM

Night night, Beckie. <3

nonperson 28-04-2018 10:57 PM

Why on Earth would you buy jamless doughnuts?

Aubergine 28-04-2018 11:05 PM

Because they were supposed to have jam in them. They were accidental jamless doughnuts. :P

nonperson 28-04-2018 11:09 PM

Ohhh!

I thought jamless doughnuts were a new thing that I didn't know about!

Aubergine 28-04-2018 11:11 PM

Hehe! Nope. I was just really, really, really awful at my job. Most of the time the dougnuts were burnt because I would lose concentration and leave them in the fryer too long. I didn't last long. :P

Have you ever had an awful job?

nonperson 28-04-2018 11:19 PM

Er... I've only had three jobs. One at the garden centre on the tills, so I think that was my worst because I was BORED STIFF and the tills weren't fancy and I had to add up the change myself and I just couldn't do it under pressure. Mental maths is really not my forte! Actually, sometimes simple counting is not my forte either.... o.o

Then my first nursery job was good until it became a nightmare with foreign agency staff and fights with the English staff ... and then I moved to my current job. And, well, that's had it's ups and downs too.

Aubergine 28-04-2018 11:25 PM

Oh those tills sound really awful! I don't like mental maths either. I have to do maths at work, but there is ALWAYS a calculator involved. :P

Fights? Oh dear! That doesn't sound like a fun environment to work in!

I guess all jobs have their ups and downs. I love my job, but it is stressful sometimes!

You up to much?

nonperson 28-04-2018 11:32 PM

I also love my job (which I think everyone knows by now) but it's the people I can't deal with..!

Nah I'm just listening to music and cooking some samosas in the oven. Exciting stuff. =D

How about you?

not_so_insig 28-04-2018 11:39 PM

Hello all.

Contradict to my earlier post it seems that amazon are stocking the complete series of the Demon Headmaster. So it looks to be a UK release which is good. My parents are going away in June so I will have more time to myself so I might get it as a treat. Plus June will be my 7 years SI free anniversary so I might call it my 7 years SI free present provided I get there of course.

nonperson 28-04-2018 11:40 PM

I remember watching that!

Aubergine 28-04-2018 11:45 PM

Peopling is hard.

What music are you listening to? Ooo samosas are nice!

I'm listening to music and doing a bit of study.

not_so_insig 28-04-2018 11:47 PM

So do I! Terence Hardiman aka the Demon Headmaster very kindly sent me a signed photo last year. He also appears once in Keeping Up Appearances.

nonperson 28-04-2018 11:48 PM

Er, it's currently just a metal playlist on Amazon music. It's actually Slipknot playing right now, ha.

Samosas are nice, but burning my mouth!

nonperson 28-04-2018 11:48 PM

Eek, he was so scary, Dawn!
