I'm never sure if you're meant to take trolleys into the self service bit in Tesco. There are separate self serv trolley-style checkouts in Asda though that I've been using for the past couple of weeks... Much prefer those.

Aubergine 03-02-2018 11:29 PM

My Mum is firm. It took a few crises, but she now knows that when I make excuses for too long and avoid her, it means things are not great and it doesn't usually end well. So now she keeps a watchful eye! She did my head in middle of last year. She was sitting in my living room until I fell asleep, and insisted that I leave the house and kept reminding me to have a drink. I mean, how dare she! :P

Well done on shopping! Always self service! Or I only ever shop online. I hate the supermarket!

You in the sleep in room now, Emma?

Pomegranate 04-02-2018 12:06 AM

Awwww that’s actually really sweet Aubergine, although I can understand why it might be irritating at the time!

Our sleep in room is our office and there’s a bed in the corner with sleeping bag so not exactly cosy lol. But yes, I’m in the office. One of my service users has just come down but luckily was a quick thing. Debating whether to shower now or in the morning. Only had dinner an hour ago.

Pomegranate 04-02-2018 12:06 AM

Anyone else’s RYL just temporarily die?

Aubergine 04-02-2018 12:17 AM

If you have one now, you could stay in bed longer in the morning? What was for dinner.

Yeah, my Mum is a good egg. I don't always think that when I'm low and want her to sod off and leave me alone though! It does see me through things more quickly though, and prevents any escalation.

My RYL has been OK. It's broken a few times over the last few days though.

not_so_insig 04-02-2018 12:20 AM

It just temporarily died on me.

Aubergine 04-02-2018 12:26 AM

Poor RYL. It is a bit temperamental at the moment.

nonperson 04-02-2018 12:30 AM

Yeah, went down for me too... for server maintenance or something. Had the same thing last week for a bit.

Does anyone actually maintain this site any more?

Pomegranate 04-02-2018 12:32 AM

Service user just disrupted me getting ready for shower so I’ll have one in the morning.

Are you planning on early nights tonight?

not_so_insig 04-02-2018 12:33 AM

I don't think that it is maintained by anyone. James used to do it but like Harley he doesn't post no longer. Maybe worth pming a mod in case they have contact info?

nonperson 04-02-2018 12:35 AM

Well speaking from experience it won't go on forever without being maintained in some respect. I don't know what it involves but coming from another abandoned forum that just got more and more buggy until it eventually died, I don't want it happening to this one too!

nonperson 04-02-2018 12:36 AM

As for an early night, just gonna see what happens. =)

Aubergine 04-02-2018 12:39 AM

I'll flag it up in the mod room and see if someone knows anything.

Pomegranate 04-02-2018 12:42 AM

Thanks Aubergine :-)

nonperson 04-02-2018 12:42 AM

Thanks, Aubergine.

Miss my old forum so much. =(

nonperson 04-02-2018 12:52 AM

What's everyone up to tonight?

Aubergine 04-02-2018 01:10 AM

I just phoned the mothership and cried at her. She is so lovely to me. Now I am listening to music and browsing some things on Amazon.

How about you? I can imagine that you do miss your old forum. IT's hard when something's gone that's been such a bit part of your life. You must miss people.

Pomegranate 04-02-2018 01:13 AM

Awww was it helpful to cry and be heard? Can you take some temazepam and get some sleep?

nonperson 04-02-2018 01:16 AM

It was a real good laugh sometimes. Quite a different place to here... not for the laughing but just a different atmosphere... if that makes sense without offending everyone reading this...!

I'm browsing the internet for things I want but will probably never buy, drinking a little bit and flicking tv channels. Just found QI on Dave with Stephen Fry. *thumbs up*

Your mothership sounds fantastic. Hoping you feel a bit better after having a cry and chat with her?

I'm around if you need someone to talk to. Probably don't but the offer's there. =)

Aubergine 04-02-2018 01:18 AM

Yeah, it was helpful. She's very level headed. I am just so very worried about work. She told me to take some temazepam while I was on the phone with her, so I did. Just lying in bed with the light off, hoping that I'll get sleepy soon.

Problems sleeping, Emma?

Aubergine 04-02-2018 01:19 AM

That makes sense. I think every forum has a different kind of feel to it. I don't think what you've said is offensive at all! Dave is brilliant for QI repeats.

nonperson 04-02-2018 01:23 AM

I'm glad that wasn't offensive.

I also just laughed so hard at Bill Bailey that I spat all over my laptop!!!

Sorry everyone. XD

Aubergine 04-02-2018 02:01 AM

I LOVE Bill Bailey. :D Part Troll is really old now, but the DVD has been a favourite of mine for a long time. Also love him in Black Books! I laugh so hard at that programme. :)

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:04 AM

Never seen either of those but I have heard about Black Books. I just tend to catch him on QI mostly and Buzzcocks when that was still going and I've seen a few clips of his shows. He's a Klingon. XD

Ross Noble was also on the QI I just watched and I really detest him.... but I think he's a favourite of someone here but I can't remember who!

Aubergine 04-02-2018 02:11 AM

I know of a couple of people who went to watch Bill Bailey live this evening. Feel a tad envious!

I'm going to see Ross Noble in October. I got two tickets from my Mum at Christmas. Why don't you like him? I will count you out as my +1 then!

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:15 AM

Ha, yes I can't stand him. I dunno, it's just like he's trying too hard and then says ridiculous things that just seem very attention seeking!! I have laughed at him before though (and hated myself for it).

Didn't know Bill Bailey was on tour.

Watching the newest QI on iPlayer. For some reason everyone looks very orange... o.o

Aubergine 04-02-2018 02:20 AM

I like his Fizzy Logic stand up DVD. :)

Yup, he's going round at the moment!

Orange? Hmm. How odd!

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:24 AM

Think it's down to my poor image quality that I'm managing to stream right now.

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:24 AM

Live freeview channels are currently a pattern of pink unwatchable squares!

Aubergine 04-02-2018 02:27 AM

Oh dear! Not really what you want to watch on TV! Go fibre! How much is it in your area?

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:33 AM

Quick check on BT says £34.99 a month. o.o

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:33 AM

I have freesat or whatever's remaining of my illegal Sky to watch, that's what I tend to use mostly.

Aubergine 04-02-2018 02:42 AM

Oh I see!

I've never used Freesat. Is it good?

That is expensive! Mine should have been £34.99, but with EE offer thing you get £10 off for 18 months, which is the length of the contract. I am a happy bunny.

Do Three do home broadband>

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:45 AM

I'm not sure what Three do. I'm told BT do the best broadband here.

Freesat isn't much different to Freeview, I don't know what extra stuff I get. I just assume that's what I'm watching because my Sky channels don't work any more.

I also forgot that I need proper Sky for Sky Atlantic, specifically Game of Thrones! Missed the last series.

Aubergine 04-02-2018 02:48 AM

I have never seen game of thrones!

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:50 AM

*gasp!!!!*

nonperson 04-02-2018 02:51 AM

It's amazing and quite confusing....

I also have a massive crush on one of the characters.

Aubergine 04-02-2018 02:54 AM

Oh! I've heard good things about Game of Thrones. I'm glad you enjoy it! Do you have anything to do for your TV

nonperson 04-02-2018 03:04 AM

Missed the last series though. It's good if you like a bit of fighting and gore (and a few naughty scenes but not as many as people make out).

Do I have anything to do for my TV?

Aubergine 04-02-2018 03:08 AM

It's never really appealed to me, but a couple of my friends watch it.

I have no idea what I was meant to say when I typed that! I think the temazepam is kicking in. Feel all fuzzy. Think bed soon.

nonperson 04-02-2018 03:15 AM

Lol. =P

Hope you fall asleep soon then. =)

Aubergine 04-02-2018 03:32 AM

You know what's happened if I disappear!

nonperson 04-02-2018 03:35 AM

Ok! How long do you think you've got?

I do the same thing sometimes, but without meds. And that's when I wake up at 3am and can't sleep for the next four hours. Or.. after drinking too much.

Aubergine 04-02-2018 03:41 AM

No idea. Until I drop my phone on my face?

Oh waking up at 3am is not fun. Makes the night very long!

nonperson 04-02-2018 03:46 AM

Yeah but last night I played piano and learned a new bit of Einaudi's I Giorni and unlocked my phone so it was actually quite productive!

How's your piano playing going?

Aubergine 04-02-2018 03:53 AM

A productive night makes it better! Well done. :)

Piano is great. I want to live in it.

nonperson 04-02-2018 03:55 AM

Haha.

I'm finding I Giorni suprisingly easy to learn actually. On page three already and I usually learn at super slow speed.

Aubergine 04-02-2018 08:00 AM

Live in my piano? I should not post things under the influence of a sleeping tablet...

I hope you all got some sleep.

Pomegranate 04-02-2018 08:29 AM

Morning all!
