Cacoethes 02-10-2024 06:45 PM

I'm always careful lindsay
;p

Sorry you're not feeling great. Glad you got some important things sorted though

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 06:33 AM

Morning everyone

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 10:29 AM

Morning Cacoethes! How are you?

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 10:40 AM

Morning!
I am not overly great, but I'll live!
How are you?

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 11:02 AM

Morning all. I need to fetch my bin but am waiting for the postman.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 11:05 AM

Is your bin quite far away?
I know some boundaries to properties are a bit of a walk! Luckily ours isn't too bad!

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 11:11 AM

It's not too bad but the way it is laid out means that I could miss the postman. I am waiting for him to collect a parcel so if I am not there then I'll have to pay again.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 11:18 AM

Ah ok!

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 11:34 AM

Collected and I have put my bin back now. Unfortunately some prick has dumped a load of recycling in my recycling box. I think I know who it is. I chucked it out because a) I don't want other people's ***** in mine and b) I don't want the council to refuse to empty mine. My council is the type if there's a single thing wrong then they refuse to empty the entire lot.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 11:35 AM

Hate it when people do that

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 11:44 AM

The thing is the boxes are free and they even deliver it to your door. So there's no excuse not to have one
All you have to do is buy a wheelie bin number which let's face it aren't expensive.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 12:03 PM

Too much effort for some people, clearly :eyeroll:

Though in all fairness, in my last job, at times I was left with literally minus numbers in my account after bills and essentials were paid. So they could be in a similar position.

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 12:09 PM

Pro tip: if you're going to dump your rubbish in other people's boxes then don't put anything in which has your address on. Next time I see them I am going to have a word.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 12:12 PM

Well yeah, that was a bit silly of them!
Like people who fly tip with their address all over everything

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 12:46 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Ah, bin issues! I see a lot of bins overfilled and the council said they weren't going to empty overfilled bins but I think they have been.

Anyone doing anything nice today? I know you're resting today, Beckie.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 12:48 PM

Doesn't make sense to not empty overfilled bins. I mean, if it's taking the piss then yeah, but I had lots of rubbish when I moved, which did fit in the bin, but maybe would have been considered overfilled.

Yep. Resting for me. Nothing interesting.
How about you?

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 01:02 PM

Hi osc, how are you? Up to anything?

I'm trying not to get excited about my birthday tomorrow. 3 visits and cake!

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 01:08 PM

It's perfectly OK to get excited about your birthday tamo!
Mine is next week and I'm half looking forward to it XD

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 01:12 PM

I'm going to be 34, feel like I'm speeding through my 30s.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 01:13 PM

I'm only just behind you at turning 33 tamo!
I get that feeling though

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 01:18 PM

33 is good, last of the early 30s in my mind. I'm going to be in my mid 30s.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 01:21 PM

That's how I see it too.
Plus 33 is a good number. It is round (as in the shape, not mathematically)
The jump from early to mid thirties must be a bit

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 01:26 PM

I am going to be 38 in December you young ones!!! Too close to 40 for my liking.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 01:31 PM

My L is 38. I think she feels the same!
I do take great delight in telling her that I was only 11/12 when she got her driving licence and had a job though XD

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 02:05 PM

You're ooooold osc :p

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 02:12 PM

Apparently duty will be calling me at some point this afternoon. Cba

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 02:13 PM

I hope they're helpful :)

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 02:17 PM

Ah you young whippersnappers!

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 02:18 PM

Are you an oldie then insig?

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 02:27 PM

I still absolutely act like a child though!

Hope your call with Duty is helpful, Beckie.

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 02:30 PM

Yes tamobhuuta I am old. I am 43!

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 02:34 PM

Very old insig!

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 02:35 PM

Stop calling everyone old, Tamo! :p

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 02:50 PM

Just making myself feel better!

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 06:16 PM

Haha! You are still actually young though.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 06:20 PM

I don't feel as old now. I only felt really old because most of the staff at the pub were in their late teens/early 20's!
But I'm actually slap bang in the middle at my new job. The lads are early/mid 20's (and very mature and sensible) and the other ladies are in their 60's.

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 06:36 PM

Yeah the people around you can definitely influence how old you feel.

How are you getting on, Beckie?

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 06:40 PM

Definitely!

I'm just generally an emotional mess at present XD
But L is here and taking care of me

Ahimsa 03-10-2024 06:52 PM

am I the thread baby then? I'm 31!

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 07:02 PM

Same age as my little sister Ahimsa! Tbh I count anyone in their 30s as 'my age'.

I have caught up with doctors.

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 07:07 PM

Sorry you're not feeling great, Beckie, but I am so glad you have L there to support you.

You can be the thread baby unless proven otherwise, Beth!

Are you still enjoying Doctors, Tamo? I read a while ago you saying you were sad that Casualty is finished until Christmas, me too!

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 07:08 PM

I think you are beth!

Thanks lindsay :)

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 07:10 PM

I always enjoy doctors, even when it infuriates me! Yes, I am sad to have to wait till Christmas for more Casualty.

one_step_closer 03-10-2024 07:11 PM

Except, Beth, you are more of a proper adult than I am I'd say!

What will you be doing with your night, Beckie?

Did you ever watch Holby, Tamo?

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 07:16 PM

I did, I particularly loved Henrik Hansen and Jac Naylor. Did you like Holby? I'm sad that the iplayer doesn't have any old episodes.

Cacoethes 03-10-2024 07:16 PM

Just chilling.
L is cooking currently. S will probably be going to bed soon

How about you?

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 07:34 PM

U tv player, formerly uktv player might have old episodes of Holby City. They own u&drama which shows classic Doctors, classic Casualty and Holby Cuty. It's free to download and watch.

not_so_insig 03-10-2024 07:37 PM

Having checked it out I can confirm that series 16 to 20 of Holby City is on u player. So is classic Doctors and Casualty.

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 07:41 PM

Thanks insig *goes to get the app*

tamobhuuta 03-10-2024 07:43 PM

Do I go for holby or casualty first?
