Sorry to hear about your back, have you tried a hot water bottle? I sometimes find that helpful when mine is causing me problems. At other times a cold pack has helped...no idea how both can work but I've found they do :P

I'm seeing my social worker in the afternoon and debating on trying to go into town at some point but suspect that won't happen today, bit anxious.

Now watching a programme about dogs. Even the ugly ones are cute!

When I was in adolescent, a girl used to bring her dog in sone weekends. It was awesome! Although one of the staff was terrified and hid in the office the whole day! It was only a little dog! Some sort of terrier.

My youngest kitties were uber annoying last night. They were running around at top speed as I was trying to sleep. Annoyingly they knocked over the tree so I had to lock them out of the living room. So my tree needs adjusting today.

Why do cats do that?!

In my old house, my neighbours had a cat and apparently he'd go mental and jump up at the wall between our houses. We worked out that he'd go mental like that if I was having a seizure in my house so if the cat started doing that, my neighbours knew to come and check on me.
And in one of my hospitals we had a cat and she would go into or wait outside patient's doors if they were having a particularly bad day.
It's so amazing how animals have that 6th sense!

Ha ha my terrier (which my parents look after atm) was allowed in on the downlow when I was 14 and in an adolescent psych unit, guy who let her in brought us all a cup of tea, dogs response-mission to kill :P

My eldest cat becomes very clingy and won't leave my side when I am having a bad day. Normally she's very nervous and my cpn doesn't see her. I used to spend a lot of time in bed when I was sicker than I am now and she used to spend her time on my pillow. Now when I am going to sleep she spends her time on my pillow but sometime during the night she moves off.

Spent all that time as a child/teenager wanting to move out and grow up but now I realise how stupid that was!!

Exactly! I was watching a show on cbbc once and they asked kids what they were most looking forward to when they grow up.
Answers were like:
Going out when you want
Going to parties and clubs
Getting a house and having a job
Getting a car

I was like, they are going to be very disappointed when they realise that basically no one can afford to buy a house these days, cars are ridiculously expensive to run, there are no jobs and you can't go out to parties because you have bills to pay!
It really does suck!

I have barely started on mine! I only have one present. Trouble is that people haven't said what they want and I suck unless they tell me.

I am going to buy some Christmas cards tomorrow because the last post for Australia is Saturday and I want to post the card to my online buddy. I have another buddy who's in the USA so it makes sense for it to be posted then. She doesn't like cards with Santa on due to religious beliefs and the only cards I have got have Santa on. I would have gone today only for the fact I was waiting for a amazon parcel to be delivered.

I only have one present too. Same reason as you dawn, no one has told me what they want!

Also Beckie they can't go out whenever they want because they have lack of money!

Adulting really does suck. But then would you really want to go back to being a child and doing what you're told and having to deal with all the ridiculousness of school and other children? Basically, life sucks :P

Much easier if people have amazon wishlists because I just tell people to get me something from it. Trouble is that mine has things like ariel and toilet roll (I put it there because it's easier to find plus it's cheaper on amazon) so I am hoping that nobody buys me those. Hopefully one of my ebay wins comes soon so I can say that I have 2 presents.

That's true Hannah! I don't think I'd want to be a kid again!

I don't have an amazon wishlist. I don't think any of the family do either!

I was badly bullied from age 7 to 17 so I wouldn't like to be a kid again because I was so unhappy. Even though I am now ill I am generally been happier in the past 10 years than in any previous years.

I hate the writing tests. Reading tests, absolutely fine but writing is loonnnggg!

I don't mind writing tests too much.

I hate writing things like emails and letters in everyday life! I get really anxious about them!
So writing them with a time limit and knowing it's going to be graded is my idea of hell!!
