Eska 22-02-2019 10:55 AM

Happy birthday Dawn!

How is everyone?

not_so_insig 22-02-2019 10:56 AM

Thanks Beckie!

not_so_insig 22-02-2019 10:57 AM

Thanks Eska. I am ok just waiting for my parents to get up so that I can open my presents.

Eska 22-02-2019 12:41 PM

That sounds good Dawn! Are they up now then?

one_step_closer 22-02-2019 01:25 PM

Happy Birthday Dawn.

How are you all?

Eska 22-02-2019 01:39 PM

I'm in work without much to do!

How are you, Lindsay?

DavyZGirL 22-02-2019 01:46 PM

Happy Birthday

chinahorse 22-02-2019 02:10 PM

Happy birthday!

Hope everyone has a good afternoon. X

Eska 22-02-2019 03:05 PM

You too Lillie

one_step_closer 22-02-2019 04:43 PM

How do you amuse yourself when there isn't much to do Eska?

Hey Lillie, I hope your day is going alright.

I'm thinking about going for a walk but I have a cat leaning on me sleeping.

Buttons. 22-02-2019 05:22 PM

Ha ha cats seem to have some kind if psychic ability to lean/fall asleep on you just when you need to move. Dogs too!

Eska 22-02-2019 05:28 PM

Umm I check my phone, occasionally try and come up with some kind of project I can do on it (like making spreadsheets/lists/writing emails), message people, occasionally chat to my colleagues, read books on the kindle app... But today I'm a bit too tired for any of those so I'm just doing what I can to not fall asleep. I have a friend's birthday to go to tonight too...

Have you had the chance to go for a walk yet?

one_step_closer 22-02-2019 05:46 PM

It can be a good excuse to be lazy when an animal sits with you!

When do you finish work today Eska? Are you going to have to be out late for your friends birthday?

Cat is still sleeping so I haven't moved. It's more difficult because it's the cat who doesn't get as much attention as the other cat. But my phone has just told me it's time to do my knee exercises, plus I need a pee and I need food so I'm going to have to move. Sorry kitty!

Eska 22-02-2019 06:07 PM

I got to finish work fifteen minutes early :D So I'm on my way home now. I'm not sure how late I'll stay out; might just be a couple of hours or might be significantly later! It depends how I feel as it goes on. I think the plan is for a pub and then a live music venue (though I may well go home before that).

Aw, I hope the kitty didn't mind being moved too much! Are you up to much this evening?

nonperson 22-02-2019 06:44 PM

Yay for finishing work early. =)

I ended up leaving 15 minutes late..!

How's everyone this evening?

Also happy birthday, Dawn!

Buttons. 22-02-2019 06:44 PM

Glad you got to leave work early Eska :)

chinahorse 22-02-2019 06:46 PM

Yay for being allowed home early! Hope you manage to enjoy the night out despite being tired eska.

I agree animals seem to sit on you when youre just about to move!

My afternoon wad ok. Don't have that Friday feeling though :( getting a pay rise in April though.

nonperson 22-02-2019 06:53 PM

Are you working tomorrow, Lillie? Awesome news about the pay rise.

chinahorse 22-02-2019 06:55 PM

No thank god.

nonperson 22-02-2019 07:01 PM

That's good. Maybe the Friday feeling is just on delay.

I'm not sure I have it much either though. I'm just tired and hungry and haven't got anything nice in for dinner! *sulk*

Cacoethes 22-02-2019 07:07 PM

Just home
Jasmine was so pleased to see me. It made me happy!

one_step_closer 22-02-2019 07:11 PM

Of course Jasmine would have been so pleased to see you :-) I'm glad you had a nice day. What did you get up to?

I hope you have a nice night Eska.

Yay for no work tomorrow Lillie, and the pay rise!

How are you doing Buttons?

Aww no NP. Are you going to have to go shopping or just find something in the house?

My next cat related problem is that I have to go for a shower now so I'm finished on time for the cats dinner time but...I currently have a purring cat on me.

Cacoethes 22-02-2019 07:19 PM

Didn't do much because Jasmine was at school most of the time.
Me and mum had some lunch and took the dogs for a walk.

Oh no Lindsay!
You can't move a cat! Its the law

nonperson 22-02-2019 07:23 PM

Howdy Lindsay.

Glad you had a nice day, Beckie.

I have a sleeping cat on my lap... so my lap is warm but the rest of me is chilly and wants to get up for food. I think I can scrounge something together from the freezer... or pesto pasta... ooh, decisions.

nonperson 22-02-2019 07:24 PM

I did not see Buttons' sneak-post just after mine!

Cacoethes 22-02-2019 07:32 PM

Pesto pasta is always a good choice!

I wasn't that hungry so I just had some pepper, cucumber and houmous

zombiehunter 22-02-2019 07:38 PM

fish pie for ****ing dinner tonight :-D

nonperson 22-02-2019 07:49 PM

Fish pie... *vomit*

zombiehunter 22-02-2019 07:51 PM

more for me then :-p

chinahorse 22-02-2019 08:00 PM

Ewww zombie.

Sounds like a good day beckie.

I vote pesto pasta. Nice and also easy.

I have a purring kitty on my lap too. Though he can't decide if he wants to play or cuddle or lick me or what.

zombiehunter 22-02-2019 08:02 PM

eeeeewwww yourself oriental equine :-p

Cacoethes 22-02-2019 08:11 PM

I wish I had a kitty!

chinahorse 22-02-2019 08:14 PM

If you lived closer you could share mine beckie. He's shy at first but then become a play with me pain in the but.

nonperson 22-02-2019 08:16 PM

I went for the pesto pasta option. It was yum. <3

chinahorse 22-02-2019 08:23 PM

I went for the left over couscous with a side of biscuits option. I am too tired for anything

Cacoethes 22-02-2019 08:24 PM

Aww bless him!

Yay for pesto pasta!

Couscous and biscuits is an interesting meal!

chinahorse 22-02-2019 08:27 PM

Meh it's food. I mean I have lots of food but everything takes more effort than I have left on a friday night.

Cacoethes 22-02-2019 08:31 PM

That's fair enough!

Buttons. 23-02-2019 05:06 AM

Good (very early) morning. Top tip of the day, do not watch the Da Vinci Code right before going to bed.

nonperson 23-02-2019 07:59 AM

Morning Buttons. Did it give you strange dreams?

I'm also awake unnaturally early for a Saturday...

chinahorse 23-02-2019 08:19 AM

Can I join the awake most of the night club? Am poorly so kept waking up.

Buttons. 23-02-2019 08:33 AM

Very strange dreams indeed Np.

Sorry your poorliness is keeping you up Lillie *hugs very gently*

Anyone got any plans for today? I plan to go to PC world to sort out getting the screen fixed and also to discuss/anti virus and check my computer over after I got scammed online. Then Pets at home for dog food and things to try and keep my dog busy :P

chinahorse 23-02-2019 08:38 AM

Sounds like a nice enough day buttons. Pets at home is always a good trip out! Have you got your eye on anything?

Thanks for the hugs. I need em! I have to go to the opticians for an appointment to fit my glasses and then to the bank for a review. (Of what I don't know. It's not like I have any money).

nonperson 23-02-2019 10:06 AM

I like looking at the rats and guinea pigs in Pets at Home but don't go there very often any more now I don't have my dog.

I've been having weird dreams most nights for a couple of weeks without having watched any films just before bed!

Might go to the garden centre again today... Really need mouse traps for the loft. =(

A more complicated toy or kong to keep her mind busy when I'm out.

Hope the opticians goes well. Weird, my bank has never asked me in for a review.

I love looking at the guinea pigs and rabbits etc at pets at home to the extent I always have to remind myself 'you see cute animal, dog will just see it as lunch'.

I have quite a lot of weird dreams too.

Garden centre sounds fun. Ugh mice, I had them where I used to live and they are a bitch to get rid of. In the end I bought a very high pitched noise thing (that even cats and dogs can't hear, but mice can) and that got rid of them way quicker than traps or anything else I tried.

Eska 23-02-2019 10:44 AM

Hi everyone!

I was up most of the night but that was because I was out... Didn't get back til just before 4am. First time in a looooooooooong time I've done that!

I have a friend coming over for a couple of hours this morning, and then I plan to watch the rugby and may or may not fall asleep. I also have some graphics stuff I kind of want to work on, and I may or may not be going to a post-match house party/gathering type thing later.

Buttons I hope you have a productive time sorting out your computer and a fun time looking at dog toys and treats.

Lillie, I'm sorry you slept badly and are in pain :( I hope that today is easier for you <3

Nonperson, weird dreams is always a bit disconcerting! Do you enjoy the garden centre?

nonperson 23-02-2019 10:48 AM

Ooh I was actually looking at those sonic noise things but wasn't sure how well they worked. They had good reviews on Google. I really don't like the idea of killing the poor creatures... and the live traps are actually pretty cruel because it catches them and then they stress themselves to death instead which is horrible.

nonperson 23-02-2019 10:50 AM

Hi Eska! Wow that was a late night. Good that you felt ok to stay out all that time. =)

Yeah I do enjoy the garden centre. It's just hard pushing myself to actually get there.

Buttons. 23-02-2019 10:54 AM

All I can say is the noise thing worked for me, when all other options, traps, poison (both of which I hated using), jamming up every conceivable entry point failed.

I appreciate it's hard pushing yourself, but hopefully you'll enjoy it when you get there.

You rebel Eska!
