tamobhuuta 24-02-2024 12:16 PM

There is a new rom com coming out with Lindsay Lohan and a guy my big sister went to school with! I'm going to have to watch it!

Edit
Went to Mass and bought a birthday card, also a mothers day card, ibuprofen and creme eggs!

Cacoethes 24-02-2024 01:04 PM

Very productive tamo!
Creme eggs are awesome
I've just driven to the town I'm having my test in. Having a coffee now. Idk where we'll go after this

not_so_insig 24-02-2024 02:43 PM

Afternoon all.

one_step_closer 24-02-2024 02:46 PM

Hey everyone.

How do you find driving in the town, Beckie? Do you go there on your driving lessons? I hope you have a nice film evening with L.

Well done for going to Mass and getting to the shop, Tamo. Are you having the creme eggs yourself? If so, enjoy!

Hi Dawn, how are you?

tamobhuuta 24-02-2024 02:49 PM

The creme eggs are for sharing. I wanted one as a reward for self care but they didn't have individual eggs.

one_step_closer 24-02-2024 02:56 PM

That's nice you can have one and share them too.

Ahimsa 24-02-2024 03:02 PM

Hi everyone

tamobhuuta 24-02-2024 03:05 PM

They won't go to waste!

Hi Ahimsa, how are you?

Ahimsa 24-02-2024 03:07 PM

I'm okay, I've lost my voice, and I was meant to start my ADHD meds today but that went wrong.

Set an alarm so I'd take my meds in the morning, they need to be taken at the same time every day. .

Woke up and was like 'ew why have I set an alarm for now?!' And went back to sleep and it was too late to take them by the time I got up.

how're you?

one_step_closer 24-02-2024 03:13 PM

Hi Beth. Sleepy brains aren't helpful ones. Can you try taking them at a slightly different time where you might be able to remember? Or could you instead add a reminder to your phone (if your phone does that) so there is a written explanation about why the reminder is sounding?

Ahimsa 24-02-2024 03:17 PM

Well it needs to be in the morning but because I either start work at 7:30am, 10am, or 12pm - I'd set it to be in the middle.

I did write on it what the reminder was for but sleepy brain didn't think it was important.

Luckily it's day 1, so I've not fully messed up a schedule, I just haven't started it!

How're you OSC?

not_so_insig 24-02-2024 03:20 PM

I am ok thanks Lindsay. Did you get your heating sorted?

tamobhuuta 24-02-2024 03:46 PM

Sorry your brain trolled you Ahimsa. Hopefully tomorrow works.

Cacoethes 24-02-2024 04:35 PM

Driving in the town is fine. The million roundabouts and the longabout are just really annoying!
Drove about for a good couple of hours, did all my manoeuvres and got them right every time, and got the hang of parallel parking on both sides.
Very proud of myself!

Hope you enjoyed the creme egg tamo!

How annoying beth!
You'll soon get into the swing of things I'm sure

How is everyone?

one_step_closer 24-02-2024 04:44 PM

I hope your brain will start to cooperate Beth and you can get into a routine.

I'm just trying to get used to being back home.

I'm glad you're ok Dawn. Yes my heating is fixed, the guy came at about 7.30pm. He did a lot more to the boiler than people usually do so hopefully that means it's fixed properly this time.

I do not like lots of roundabouts. Well done for all you managed Beckie!

Cacoethes 24-02-2024 04:50 PM

It's always a bit weird being home after being away from 'real life' for a while
Hopefully you settle back in quickly

Thank you!
I've done so many roundabouts now I'm just used to them!
Though there is an evil bit where there are 3 mini roundabouts all clustered together. Never fun.

one_step_closer 24-02-2024 04:52 PM

Thanks Beckie. I ended up staying in bed until 10.20am which is annoying. I was hoping I could stick to the hospital 7.20am get up.

3 mini roundabouts together sounds like a nightmare!

tamobhuuta 24-02-2024 05:18 PM

Maybe an inbetween time osc?

not_so_insig 24-02-2024 05:22 PM

Maybe your body needed the sleep instead of being forced awake Lindsay?

Cacoethes 24-02-2024 05:43 PM

Give it some time lindsay
It can take a few days to adjust

It was a nightmare but I'm used to it now!

one_step_closer 24-02-2024 06:48 PM

Yeah, I can just never seem to settle into a sleeping pattern that suits me.

Are there any places you'd love to drive and places you'd prefer to avoid, Beckie?

Cacoethes 24-02-2024 07:40 PM

The only places I'd really avoid are the magic roundabouts in hemel and swindon, spaghetti junction, none of which I'd drive anywhere near anyway, and i do hate the black cat roundabout but can do it

Pi.R^2 24-02-2024 08:24 PM

Sat nav took me to the Magic Roundabout once and I was NOT emotionally prepared for that chaos!!

Cacoethes 24-02-2024 10:10 PM

Yeah it's certainly an experience i imagine!
My friend learned to drive around hemel area and her dad directed her to the magic roundabout without her knowledge! She freaked, obvs

Cacoethes 25-02-2024 09:08 AM

Morning everyone

Zurg 25-02-2024 10:46 AM

Morning Beckie :)
Did you sleep well??

Cacoethes 25-02-2024 11:10 AM

Morning!
I did thanks. Always sleep better at L's
How are you?

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 11:34 AM

Morning guys. I'm glad you slept well Cacoethes. How about you Zurg? I woke up a lot but didn't get up until 9.40am.

What's everyone up to today?

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 11:36 AM

Morning gang, how're you doing?

I woke up and remembered to take my meds, its only day 1 and apparently I'll feel them kick in around 40 minutes.

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 11:40 AM

Well done for remembering Ahimsa. How exciting that they work so quickly!

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 11:42 AM

I know, I'm looking forward to some brain silence, which is apparently what happens!!

Dose is increased in a week so we'll see! My plan today is wash my hair, go to the good charity shop (its huge and everything is 5 or less) and then I have my quiz tonight.

how're you?

one_step_closer 25-02-2024 11:46 AM

Morning everyone. I made it out of bed at 7.35am, yay! Need to keep it up.

I'm glad you had a good sleep, Beckie. You'll need to stay at L's more often!

How are you, Kat?

Are you doing anything nice today, Tamo?

Well done, Beth. I hope you do feel some really helpful effects. I hope you enjoy your day. I love charity shops but find it hard to look at all the things, even just looking at the books.

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 11:47 AM

Hey OSC - well done for getting up early! How're you doing?

one_step_closer 25-02-2024 11:57 AM

Thanks Beth. I'm still just trying to settle into my routine back at home. I managed to have a shower, change my bedding, and go to Tesco. Just have to clean Crookshanks bowls and mats after he has his dinner.

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 12:02 PM

Thats super productive!! :) Well done!

I'm still in bed, I got up to feed the cats and take my meds and then got back into bed.

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 12:22 PM

I've got period pains again so I've got my hot water bottle. I've got the Italian Mass this evening which will be nice.

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 12:24 PM

period pains suck! I hope the hot water bottle helps.

What time is Italian Mass?

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 12:28 PM

5pm and it lasts about an hour. I tried to listen to the sermon (in Italian) last week but couldn't follow it at all. I can follow the written down stuff.

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 12:29 PM

Not too late then! Is it online?

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 12:32 PM

I think so but I'll go in person. My dad and brother go too.

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 12:33 PM

Ahh thats good, is it far?

My meds haven't kicked in yet, its been over an hour. Sus! :plain:

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 12:37 PM

Oh no! What kind of effect are you expecting?

Not far at all. In the week I've been walking but I'm not decided yet whether I'll have time today.

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 12:41 PM

Well, its ADHD medication so meant to minimise the brain noise and help me focus and not get distracted and be less fidgety.

I took it at 10:15, apparently from 40 minutes i'll have noticeable effects. I've had nothing.

I've been trying to watch a YouTube video since 11:30 and have stopped it and got distracted probably half a dozen times if not more, the brain noise is exactly the same, and Im still really fidgety.

My friend from work (who noticed all my symptoms) who is also diagnosed, had a burst of energy and motivation and got LOADS done on the first morning on meds. We're on the same meds and started on the same dose.

Yay for not having to go too far!

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 12:50 PM

Maybe you need a higher dose?

I've had a look at the weather. Walking to Mass is not a good idea!

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 12:51 PM

Well, its 1 week on this dose, an increase next Sunday, and an increase the Sunday after that. My review is at the end of March.

Is the weather really bad?

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 12:53 PM

It's alright now but forecast to tip it down just when I want to walk.

I hope the increases help.

Ahimsa 25-02-2024 12:54 PM

I hope so, this has just been disappointing.

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 12:56 PM

I get that but there is still lots of time.

one_step_closer 25-02-2024 01:00 PM

That's a shame that the meds haven't done what they are supposed to do, Beth. I hope they do kick in soon.

Do you enjoy Italian Mass even if you can't understand it all, Tamo? Why do you go to an Italian one?

tamobhuuta 25-02-2024 01:03 PM

It's nice and quiet and I don't have to get up early! And I know the service well so it doesn't matter that I don't speak Italian. How are you?
