Cacoethes 31-01-2022 11:06 AM

Hey.
I'm ok thanks
Being moved into an en suite room now apparently.
Because of being covid positive. Just had to pack all my stuff.
Which is good because I'm sick of having to put on a mask and wipe everything down with sanitiser wipes when I use the bathroom!

How are you?

tamobhuuta 31-01-2022 11:22 AM

En suites are great, our hospital is all en suite.

Cacoethes 31-01-2022 11:26 AM

2 of the wards are. But the other 2 aren't. This ward only has 2 en suite rooms.

one_step_closer 31-01-2022 01:59 PM

I hope your new room is better for you Beckie.

How is your day going Tamo?

Cacoethes 31-01-2022 02:05 PM

It's ok i suppose!
But I can't see out of the window

How are you lindsay?

one_step_closer 31-01-2022 02:14 PM

What's the point of a window you can't see through?! You'll have to draw what you think is outside and stick it to the window if you're allowed pencils etc. I'd send you a big poster but I'm not good with knowing sizes.

I'm just my usual.

not_so_insig 31-01-2022 02:31 PM

It's windy outside. But not as bad as last night as it was really rough.

one_step_closer 31-01-2022 02:40 PM

It was windy here last night too and today but not as bad as it was. My local leisure centre's roof was damaged and I bet lots more things were damaged. Are all your things intact Dawn?

not_so_insig 31-01-2022 03:09 PM

Apart from finding my recycling box in the next street I think I am ok. My paper bag has completely gone however but I have a spare. Can watch TV through the dish today which is good.

Cacoethes 31-01-2022 05:23 PM

They were singing karaoke in one of the lounges which is very close to my room
Was not impressed.

one_step_closer 31-01-2022 05:27 PM

Is there supposed to be more wind in your area Dawn?

Any decent singers Beckie?

Cacoethes 31-01-2022 06:35 PM

There are a couple of very good singers actually but it's still annoying af

shadow-light 01-02-2022 09:59 AM

shadow-light 01-02-2022 10:13 AM

How are people doing?

I'm having these really strong "run away" urges. Not had them like this for years, in the past they have resulted I me going to a train station and just getting on a random train with no plans or like luggage. Once I went to Germany on a wim like this

Not that I can really go anywhere at the moment, even leaving the house is hard. But wow the urges are hard to just sit with

Cacoethes 01-02-2022 10:15 AM

Hey guys

I get those urges frequently Hazel
Unfortunately not much you can do about it except wait for it to pass in my opinion

shadow-light 01-02-2022 10:18 AM

Ye, I guess. In the last few years when they've happened it didn't matter as had no money anyway, though about 2 years ago I dud just get in car and drive until ran out of fuel - that was an embarrassing phonecall...
Thus time though I have money as got PIP back payment

Going to try to distract myself... bathroom needs cleaning so might go do that with a podcast or audiobook on

shadow-light 01-02-2022 10:20 AM

I'm still in covid isolation anyway so focusing on that as a reason I cant go anywhere

How are you anyway?

Cacoethes 01-02-2022 10:30 AM

Good plan

How long of isolation have you got left?

I'm tired. Bored. Lonely.
And my shower has just turned on by itself which has really freaked me out

shadow-light 01-02-2022 10:32 AM

I think I'm on day 7. I took a test on sunday (day 5) but was still positive

Oh hate it when plumbing does creepy stuff like that

one_step_closer 01-02-2022 11:05 AM

Morning everyone.

I hope you can find a way to ease the urges and get rid of them Hazel. They sound hard to manage.

The showers in my local ward do that too Beckie. Any way to be less tired, bored, and lonely?

tamobhuuta 01-02-2022 11:09 AM

Hi osc, how are you?

shadow-light 01-02-2022 11:15 AM

I've cleaned the bath! It was mildly filthy... Next onto the sink, I am avoiding doing the toilet

Cacoethes 01-02-2022 11:15 AM

So not too long to go then Hazel

I'm not sure lindsay.
I'm going to try and watch the rest of the film I started yesterday
Just had ward round. I was allowed to leave my room! What a treat! (Ward round is like, the next room down)

Well done hazel!

one_step_closer 01-02-2022 11:22 AM

I have to go to a different gym with my support worker and other service user because our usual gym has a damaged roof because of the wind. I'm feeling anxious about it. Plus my support worker phoned me early when I was still in bed so I ignored it to phone her back. So I was up earlier than 10.15am which is my current target and I'm worried I'll stay in bed past my target time tomorrow because of getting up earlier today.

Keep going Hazel!

What film is it Beckie? Going to another room must have been exciting! How did ward round go? You don't need to answer.

Cacoethes 01-02-2022 11:28 AM

Oh no lindsay! What a disaster!
I hope the other gym is ok

It's The Suicide Squad. (The second one) i loved the first one and hadn't got around to seeing this one yet. But I got so tired halfway through it yesterday i had to lie down!
Ward round wasn't great. I said about it in my serious thread. Yet another professional only seeing mental illness!

shadow-light 01-02-2022 11:54 AM

Cleaning the sink seemingly blocked the sink :ermm:

The Suicide Squad any good? I also loved the first one

Cacoethes 01-02-2022 12:02 PM

Oh noooo!

I'm only halfway through but I'm enjoying it!

shadow-light 01-02-2022 01:08 PM

ok managed to unblock the sink

pro-tip dont leave the cleaning of a sink for so long that the dirt blocks the drain as you are trying to rince it down

stupid run away urge is still there :ermm:

living room needs tidying, but just looking at it makes me feel overwhelmed so may not be the best of distractions

i want to go for a run but A. not sure I can leave the house, and B. but worried that I might end up just running and running until I am silly far away

freaking hate my brain

wow, wind must have been really bad to cause roof damage! Hope the different gym is ok, totally get the anxiety of new places and changes, hopefully it will all be ok though

not_so_insig 01-02-2022 01:56 PM

It's very windy here still. Been to the vet with my female cat she was very uncooperative. Didnt want to be examined at all.

Am waiting for tesco shopping order to come.

Cacoethes 01-02-2022 01:57 PM

At least you've managed to unblock it now Hazel!

I'm watching venom

shadow-light 01-02-2022 01:59 PM

I had this weird moment of NEEDING to go outside, for the first time in almost a month I got washed and dressed to go out, opened the door, stepped outside... then remembered about the isolation thing...

I live in the middle of nowhere, its almost a mile to the village, but rules are rules I guess

fairly upset now and sat in the garden in run kit

how was the suicide squad?

Elmer 01-02-2022 02:15 PM

I know that if it's the thought of breaking the rules that causes anxiety then this might not help Hazel, but going outside when you're not going to see another human is very different to going outside when you live in the city centre. I don't think anyone could or would fault you if you did go for a run/walk/whatever.

shadow-light 01-02-2022 02:19 PM

Next door neighbours a cop and I already know he's watching me

It's fine I'll just do garden laps, lockdown style. Own fault for catching the damn virus

Cacoethes 01-02-2022 02:28 PM

I really enjoyed the suicide squad!
I know a lot of people hated it

Cacoethes 02-02-2022 09:32 AM

Morning everyone

tamobhuuta 02-02-2022 10:25 AM

Good morning :) how are you?

Cacoethes 02-02-2022 10:44 AM

Tired!

You?

shadow-light 02-02-2022 10:48 AM

Morning

Cacoethes 02-02-2022 10:54 AM

Hey Hazel

How are you?

tamobhuuta 02-02-2022 11:11 AM

I'm ok, waiting to get through to the GP

Hi shadow. :)

Cacoethes 02-02-2022 11:12 AM

Hope it doesn't take too long!

tamobhuuta 02-02-2022 11:26 AM

It feels like we've been on hold forever.

Cacoethes 02-02-2022 11:30 AM

Hopefully you'll get through soon!

tamobhuuta 02-02-2022 11:37 AM

I am 14.in the queue.

Cacoethes 02-02-2022 11:40 AM

That's mental!
Even when I'm 20+ in the queue in my gp surgery I still get through within 10 mins!

tamobhuuta 02-02-2022 12:14 PM

We started off at 40. We were waiting almost an hour and then it said the call couldn't be connected and to call back later. Frustrated face.

Cacoethes 02-02-2022 12:26 PM

What a nightmare

Mine only goes to 20

tamobhuuta 02-02-2022 02:29 PM

I spoke to my CPN and he said the NHS app has been messing up for loads of people and I am still allowed olanzapine, I just need to ask my GP.
