not_so_insig 24-03-2020 01:59 PM

I used to watch Doctors until they moved Neighbours to Channel 5 and put them at the same time.

nonperson 24-03-2020 02:14 PM

You could always watch it on iplayer, Dawn.

I can't figure out how to get Disney+ on my tv... *frown*

The Worst Witch 24-03-2020 03:33 PM

Really stupid question potentially, but what is Disney+? Is it just essentially a streaming service like Netflix, but only for Disney films and shows?

Cacoethes 24-03-2020 03:59 PM

I have Disney+ now :-D

Yes it is.
But you can also get marvel and other franchises associated with Disney.
I've just watched moana

nonperson 24-03-2020 04:01 PM

My tv is too old to get the app. >=(

I don't like watching on small devices or laptop. Apparently it will come to NowTV eventually so I guess I'll wait and be jealous of everyone else.

Or buy a new tv.

Cacoethes 24-03-2020 05:30 PM

I've just been watching it on the iPad.
I don't know if I'll be able to get it on the fire stick when I get back home. I can't get now tv on it which angers me

Probably best to buy a new tv :p
Or you could connect your laptop to the TV provided your TV has a hdmi port

nonperson 24-03-2020 06:02 PM

The tv I have is fine for now. Ugh no, good suggestion but I'm not one for cables and such everywhere. I want super ease of use, lol.

You could just get the NowTV stick, that's what I use.

Cacoethes 24-03-2020 06:16 PM

I forgot about the nowtv stick. I'll have to get one when I get home

nonperson 24-03-2020 06:39 PM

Good plan. =)

Cacoethes 24-03-2020 07:48 PM

:)

What are you up to?
I've just made my millionth coffee of the day because there is nothing else to do but drink coffee and tea

zombiehunter 24-03-2020 07:57 PM

nonperson 24-03-2020 08:13 PM

I re-did the work I lost yesterday. Then it got too late and dark to go for a walk so I went to pester the cat and play piano for a bit. Just putting some dinner on.

I know what you mean, Beckie. I don't want to admit to how many biscuits I've eaten today. =/

Cacoethes 24-03-2020 08:17 PM

Sounds good zombie!

Well done for doing the work np
Hopefully it's saved this time!

What kind of biscuits were they?

nonperson 24-03-2020 08:25 PM

Definitely saved this time! I saved it every few minutes to make sure I lost NOTHING.

Dark chocolate Hobnobs of course!

The Worst Witch 24-03-2020 08:30 PM

I love dark chocolate hobnobs, but my favourite biscuit has to be dark chocolate mcvities!

Hi. I guess I should introduce myself, I’m Alison. I live with 3 cats and my flatmate, currently studying to be a nursery teacher (or I was before the coronavirus hit). Finding this time a bit nerve wracking because we’re not allowed out on placement with kids (obviously) so I don’t know if I’ll graduate this year or whether or not I’ll have to make up time over the summer or not. Anyway, hi!

The Worst Witch 24-03-2020 08:35 PM

Also, the coronavirus has cancelled everything except my deadlines for coursework (only got extensions on practical units) so I’m looking to be distracted from all the mountains of work I have to do

nonperson 24-03-2020 08:42 PM

Hi. =)

I don't think anyone knows what's happening with graduating and exams at all levels at the moment. Uncertainty about things really isn't helping the situation. It will get worked out eventually and for the time being everyone just has to take a big breath and accept that what will be will be. Easier said than done. =P

More importantly, what are dark chocolate Mcvities? Are they more like digestives?

The Worst Witch 24-03-2020 08:46 PM

Yeah, they’re chocolate digestives essentially, I just have weird names for things :P

nonperson 24-03-2020 08:51 PM

Ahh I wouldn't turn down a chocolate digestive but I think hobnobs are superior!

Cacoethes 24-03-2020 09:35 PM

Dark chocolate anything is good!
And most biscuits are good too tbh :p

I've just had some toast and a horlicks

Hopefully all will become clear with uni stuff soon!

Koala hugs 24-03-2020 10:06 PM

Mmm toast and a Horlicks sounds good really good wish I'd bought Horlicks at Tesco earlier

The Worst Witch 24-03-2020 10:26 PM

Eww, horlicks!

chinahorse 25-03-2020 08:50 AM

Morning. Ive already washed up, done the litter tray and had a nap and its not even 9am.

one_step_closer 25-03-2020 09:14 AM

Productive Lillie. Do you have anything planned for the rest of your day?

chinahorse 25-03-2020 09:19 AM

Have some phone calls to make. Then if its ready Ill go and get my script fvrom the pharmacy.

How about you?

nonperson 25-03-2020 09:43 AM

Morning everyone.

I've had a lazy morning so far. Been up ages but just having breakfast.

The Worst Witch 25-03-2020 09:50 AM

Morning guys

nonperson 25-03-2020 09:53 AM

How're you today?

The Worst Witch 25-03-2020 09:56 AM

Not bad ta, just woke up. Theres only so long the cats will let me have a lie in before they want fed ha.

How are you?

Cacoethes 25-03-2020 10:03 AM

Morning everyone

The Worst Witch 25-03-2020 10:04 AM

Hey Beckie

How are you today?

nonperson 25-03-2020 10:09 AM

Morning Beckie.

Cats are demanding aren't they. =) Mine has food out all the time so I don't have that problem but he demands attention all the time instead.

The Worst Witch 25-03-2020 10:20 AM

Yeah, but I love them all the same :). My youngest one (he’s nearly 2) sat on my lap while I was doing a video chat with my tutor, hehe.

How old is your cat np? What’s his name?

nonperson 25-03-2020 10:26 AM

He is 7 now! His name is Geordi, like the character from Star Trek, heh.

chinahorse 25-03-2020 10:26 AM

Oooo kitty talk! I love kitty talk :)

How many do you have? Whats their names? (what should I call you TWW?)

tamobhuuta 25-03-2020 10:32 AM

Good morning everyone. I slept badly :( but I got a letter from DWP saying my benefits are increasing by like, two pounds!

The Worst Witch 25-03-2020 10:43 AM

I’m Alison :)

I have 3. Titchy and Junior are 10 and 9 respectively and belonged to my flatmate before I moved in with her, and we got Sooty together in 2018 so he’s bearly 2 :)

tamobhuuta 25-03-2020 10:52 AM

Aw cute. I think our cat loves being the only pet, he gets all the attention.

nonperson 25-03-2020 11:06 AM

Titchy, what a name. =P

2 years old is a good age, they're grown up but still act like kittens sometimes.

I also think my cat likes getting all the attention, but I think he would enjoy catty company for when I'm at work usually.

chinahorse 25-03-2020 11:20 AM

How did the older two react to the new baby Alison?

Same np. And my new landlord has had me sign a thing that I'm only allowed bertie.

The Worst Witch 25-03-2020 11:36 AM

Actually, really well. You’ve to separate them for a few days and keep them in separate rooms, so V (flatmate) had junior and titchy in with her and I had soot in with me. Within a couple of hours they were both wanting to meet him, and now they’re inseparable. Soot still likes to come in with me at night time, and will get jealous if one of the other two come in to ‘his room with his mummy’ but thats only at night time :)

How old is Bertie? They can definitely be good company for each other, but yeah hard to find somewhere that will take more than one.

chinahorse 25-03-2020 11:39 AM

Aww am glad they all get along :-)

Bertie is 1 year and 5 months.

chinahorse 25-03-2020 12:53 PM

We are sunbathing outside in the yard. Tied bertie to the bbq leg and brought his climbing tower, water and litter tray out too. Hes still laying on the floor.

Cacoethes 25-03-2020 12:58 PM

Sunbathing sounds good!

chinahorse 25-03-2020 01:02 PM

Its lovely. :-)

Bertie just freaked out over a woodhouse

Cacoethes 25-03-2020 01:55 PM

Ahahaa!
Bless him

chinahorse 25-03-2020 02:05 PM

We have them in the house sometimes. Hes seen them before!

Cacoethes 25-03-2020 02:36 PM

Cats are weird

So are dogs.
Mum's dogs will bark at literally nothing and once a fox ran right across one of their fields close to the house and absolutely nothing from the dogs.

nonperson 25-03-2020 02:42 PM

Next door's dogs keep barking at me today. =/

chinahorse 25-03-2020 03:46 PM

How annoying np!

I've very mildly started to sunburn shave come in and am watching tv.

Also have eaten half the house. Isolation will make me fatter than buddah.
