Cacoethes 12-06-2022 03:42 PM

i watched encanto yesterday! i love it

nonperson 12-06-2022 04:45 PM

Yeah I've heard lots of good things about it

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 04:58 PM

some of the songs are very catchy!
surface pressure was being played at work in the kitchen the other day (the kitchen guys have a very varied playlist!)

one_step_closer 12-06-2022 04:58 PM

Watching a film is a good thing to do when you're tired. Do you have anything that needs to be done this evening?

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 05:03 PM

we posted at the exact same time lindsay! lol

i have had an early dinner because i am dizzy and showered.
also cleared up all the random crumbs and bits from under the sofa cushions for when it gets taken away on tuesday

nonperson 12-06-2022 05:36 PM

Nothing to do this evening apart from getting the laundry off the line, tiny bit of washing up and going to out to collect dinner that I ordered earlier as a treat.

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 05:39 PM

oooh what did you order?

nonperson 12-06-2022 05:50 PM

Wagamama. Enough for two days, lol.

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 05:52 PM

nice!
i haven't had Wagamama's in years!
there isn't one near me :(

nonperson 12-06-2022 06:01 PM

I've got to drive 15-20 minutes to get it but it'll be worth it.

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 06:05 PM

definitely worth it!
i am very jealous!

Pi.R^2 12-06-2022 06:10 PM

Dropping in with some love for Wagamamas! Vegatsu is THE BEST.
Enjoy it :)

Zurg 12-06-2022 06:57 PM

As the foreigner who is both hopeless and forever behind on cool points, would someone explain to me what wagamamas is??? It sounds cool!!!

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 07:02 PM

a wild Jenna appeared!
hello!

you don't have Wagamama's?!
they had one in Antwerp so i assumed they were a universal thing!
it's Asian food. i believe mostly Japanese style
the ONLY thing i don't like about it is that there are no individual tables. just long tables and benches so you could find yourself sitting next to random people!
it is worth it though!

What Beckie said! And also if I am correctly remembering the location of your foreign-ness, it looks like they do have wagamamas in your capital city, so if you're ever there and do like Japanese food, I would highly recommend it!

Hello!
Just to let you know that I was today years old when I learnt that Antwerp was not actually in the Netherlands, which I discovered when browsing to see which wagamamas you went to.

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 07:25 PM

i only found out where Antwerp was AFTER i'd booked tickets to see Russell Howard there.
tbh i don't know where i thought it was!

nonperson 12-06-2022 07:44 PM

I had the yasai katsu curry, Jenna. But they forgot to add my chilli edamame beans D=

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 07:54 PM

did you still enjoy it?

nonperson 12-06-2022 08:10 PM

I did!

But edamame would have improved it =(

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 08:16 PM

i've had to google them.
they look like broad beans.
and apparently they aren't very good for you because of anti nutrients?? i didn't even know that was a thing!!!
i imagine having them once in a while is totally harmless though!
do they taste like broad beans?

nonperson 12-06-2022 08:23 PM

They're soya beans.

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 08:25 PM

ah ok! definitely heard of soya beans!

Zurg 12-06-2022 08:34 PM

Wtf is anti nutrients???!!? There's antimatter. And anti-lots of things. But nutrients??!? Does that mean that by eating something containing anti nutrients, you Will lose weight???
Oh boy, can we put that into cake and crisps???? :D

Jenna, do you mean i have to travel all the Way to copenhagen to try wagamamas??? Man, i love food but i'm not sure i love it THAT much… >_<

Cacoethes 12-06-2022 08:41 PM

apparently it can reduce absorption of minerals or something like that?
nothing to do with calorie content sadly!

how long would it take you to get to Copenhagen?

Yep, that does appear to be the situation! Like, I love wagamama's but probably not worth travelling for :P

np, much sympathy for your lack of edamame beans but congrats on your excellent choice of dish. I make my own katsu and it's pretty tasty, but it's got nothing on wagamama's!

not_so_insig 12-06-2022 10:45 PM

I havent been to wagamamas. There isn't one in my city and the only time I might be near one is on holidays but my mum doesn't like noodles or what she calls "funny stuff ". So I am unlikely to get to one any time soon.

Pi.R^2 12-06-2022 11:16 PM

Haha, what else does she classify as ‘funny stuff’? To be fair, it’s not a place I would ever have tried as I’m very fussy and not good at trying new things! I was with people who wanted to go there and was like ‘oh god, this is going to be awful’. How wrong I was!

Cacoethes 13-06-2022 05:30 AM

morning everyone!

Zurg 13-06-2022 09:34 AM

Morning Beckie.

The last time i went to copenhagen, it took about 3,5 hours with train. Sometimes it takes a bit more. There are certain trains that are a bit faster, with less stops, but they are a bit pricey…
I am not too keen on our capital. There's people everywhere at all times and they all appear very busy and somewhat rude….

How are you all this morning??

Cacoethes 13-06-2022 09:37 AM

oh wow! it took me about that time to get from London to Antwerp!!!

sounds a bit like London!
maybe it's a capital city thing?

i'm ok!
have to leave for work soon. booooo!!!

how are you?

tamobhuuta 13-06-2022 11:46 AM

Hi Cacoethes, hi Zurg.

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 12:50 PM

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well.

Hope work goes well Beckie.

What's everyone else getting up to today?

not_so_insig 13-06-2022 12:54 PM

Hello all. I am waiting for an delivery order from amazon.

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 01:07 PM

Hi Dawn, what are you getting from Amazon? I hope you're getting on ok.

not_so_insig 13-06-2022 01:15 PM

It's a black cat plushie. There's a reason why I chose it but I prefer not to say why on a public forum.

I had to take prn yesterday so fell asleep earlier than normal last night though. Slept for ages.

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 02:18 PM

Did the sleep do you good?

not_so_insig 13-06-2022 02:21 PM

Yes I feel refreshed.

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 02:23 PM

I'm glad to hear that. I hope you have a good sleep tonight with or without PRN.

tamobhuuta 13-06-2022 02:24 PM

I'm waiting for my physical health check with the CMHT.

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 02:25 PM

What time is it at? I hope it goes well.

tamobhuuta 13-06-2022 02:28 PM

I'm not sure. I just had my blood test and they've said it will be a 10 min wait but they always run behind.

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 02:30 PM

Are you feeling ok with the waiting?

tamobhuuta 13-06-2022 02:32 PM

It's ok. Dad promised me a coffee when I finish!

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 02:34 PM

Good old Dad! Do you know what kind of coffee you'll get?

tamobhuuta 13-06-2022 02:36 PM

Latte with extra milk because the coffee at his favourite place is too strong for me.

Cacoethes 13-06-2022 02:49 PM

I'm on my break!
Had salmon, new potatoes and veg with parsley sauce.
was delicious and I'm very full now!

one_step_closer 13-06-2022 04:44 PM

Hope you enjoyed your coffee, Tamo.

That sounds very healthy, Beckie. I don't think I've ever had salmon.

nonperson 13-06-2022 05:41 PM

Oooh salmon is lovely. And new potatoes. I literally just finished off some fancy m&s salmon pate that was going to go off.

Cacoethes 13-06-2022 06:12 PM

Salmon is delicious!

Np I genuinely read that as 'M&Ms salmon pate' and I was like...what?!
