not_so_insig 26-09-2019 04:04 PM

I have been for my weekly walk around the park at the bottom of the road.

Lindsay the clock hasn't been chiming for nearly 2 months now. They took the mechanism away for maintenance.

There has been an new bench installed and I eventually found it. I sat on it but not for long as they put it in a windy spot and therefore cold. Next time I go I will take a photo provided nobody is sitting on it.

nonperson 26-09-2019 05:04 PM

I've just looked up to find a pheasant staring at me through the window!

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 05:13 PM

Creepy!

I'm watching Friends now with a teddy and coffee.

chinahorse 26-09-2019 05:14 PM

Haha np that's excellent!

Good combo tamo.

I'm waiting for crisis. Who are now exactly 1 hour late.

nonperson 26-09-2019 05:14 PM

It was!

Sounds cosy, Tamo. =) I can't decide between Friends or Star Trek... but I really shouldn't be sitting down at all.

nonperson 26-09-2019 05:15 PM

Ahh, Lillie, that's so rubbish of them! Maybe they got held up with someone else?

Cacoethes 26-09-2019 05:19 PM

Ah pheasants.
The males are very pretty to look at but they are idiots on the roads
Used to have loads in the garden when I lived at home

That's rubbish Lillie
Crisis can be so unreliable

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 05:21 PM

Why shouldn't you sit down np?

nonperson 26-09-2019 05:25 PM

I've got loads of young pheasants in my garden at the moment. The males are half brown and half colourful! You're right about them having no road sense at all.

I've got lots to do tonight, Tamo. =(

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 05:39 PM

Can any of it wait? Sounds like you could do with being gentle with yourself.

nonperson 26-09-2019 05:48 PM

Not really. I'm supposed to be making shortbread for a Macmillan coffee morning tomorrow... but I don't have all the ingredients so need to go to the shop first and my kitchen is such a mess that I need to wash everything up before I can do any baking anyway.

And my neighbour's cat is missing aaaand... I should add cook dinner in there somewhere too. =(

Whining now, sorry.

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 05:52 PM

That is a lot. Maybe it will be ok once you get started?

nonperson 26-09-2019 05:55 PM

I actually think shortbread might not happen... but I still need to go out to get cash for tomorrow.

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 05:57 PM

Maybe get some biscuits when you get your money? Pretend they're yours!

nonperson 26-09-2019 06:00 PM

People do bring stuff they haven't made! There's usually loads of cakes though, my shortbread won't be missed. The important bit is donating so I really do have to go out to get money for that.

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 06:02 PM

Fair enough. I hope you have fun at the coffee morning.

nonperson 26-09-2019 06:08 PM

Feel a bit rubbish for bailing out though. =/

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 06:11 PM

No shame in not making the biscuits. It's good to make a donation and raise awareness.

nonperson 26-09-2019 06:15 PM

Yeah, I know. The only thing I can make is shortbread though and I've made it every year it's been held at work. Maybe 4 years? It's good fun and does really well in raising money.

chinahorse 26-09-2019 06:52 PM

I agree with tamo np. The important bit is awareness and a donation. Don't beat yourself up.

Crisis eventually came and left so I've had pesto pasta and a dessert of jaffa cakes.

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 06:55 PM

I love jaffa cakes!

chinahorse 26-09-2019 06:57 PM

I forgot how good they were and ate a few too many!

Cacoethes 26-09-2019 06:57 PM

Jaffa cakes are yummy!

nonperson 26-09-2019 07:04 PM

Oooh, I agree with Jaffa cakes being yum! It's so easy to eat a few too many.

Has anyone tried the strawberry or lime ones?

chinahorse 26-09-2019 07:06 PM

Strawberry jaffa cakes sound wrong.

Cacoethes 26-09-2019 07:07 PM

That does sound wrong!!

chinahorse 26-09-2019 07:15 PM

What dI'd everyone else have for tea?

nonperson 26-09-2019 07:28 PM

I can't bring myself to try them, they look too weird.

Nothing yet... Should stick something in the oven.

What did you have, Lillie?

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 07:35 PM

Strawberry and lime flavours sound yummy.

I had stir fry for dinner, now I'm having a cup of tea - decaff because I'm good.

nonperson 26-09-2019 07:44 PM

Does decaff taste any different?

chinahorse 26-09-2019 07:51 PM

Yeah it's rank.

nonperson 26-09-2019 07:53 PM

Lol. I've heard that some people prefer it!

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 08:03 PM

It's not as strong as proper tea

Cacoethes 26-09-2019 08:38 PM

I don't think I've ever had decaf tea
Decaf coffee, yes

tamobhuuta 26-09-2019 09:09 PM

Tea isn't very caffeinated anyway, but my CPN suggested it

Cacoethes 26-09-2019 09:38 PM

I'm not caffeine sensitive at all so don't have need for decaf

nonperson 26-09-2019 10:14 PM

Can you build up a caffeine tolerance?

Cacoethes 26-09-2019 10:27 PM

I would think so!

chinahorse 26-09-2019 10:44 PM

Yeah you can.

I'm not tired now I've been to the loo brushed my teeth and got in bed.

Cacoethes 26-09-2019 11:34 PM

How annoying Lillie

not_so_insig 26-09-2019 11:35 PM

You are awake late Beckie!

Cacoethes 27-09-2019 01:03 AM

Been sectioned so just arrived at the hospital
Its really out of area
Hopefully will be able to get some sleep now!

chinahorse 27-09-2019 02:31 AM

Oh beckie, hope they are kind to you and that the admission is helpful.

chinahorse 27-09-2019 07:14 AM

Good morning guys x

tamobhuuta 27-09-2019 10:32 AM

Sorry you got sectioned but I hope the admission is helpful.

tamobhuuta 27-09-2019 10:32 AM

He China! Did you sleep in the end?

chinahorse 27-09-2019 10:34 AM

Hi tamo I did thanks. Did you have a good rest?

tamobhuuta 27-09-2019 10:42 AM

Yeah I did thanks.

Just going to see my sister now.

chinahorse 27-09-2019 10:49 AM

That's nice. Will you get another amazing sounding latte?

I'm laying still on the sofa and watching TV until urges pass. Feeling so anxious today.

one_step_closer 27-09-2019 10:57 AM

Morning everyone.

I hope you got some sleep Beckie and the admission is helpful.

I'm glad you managed to sleep Lillie. Keep doing whatever safe things you need to do for yourself.

I hope you have a nice visit Tamo.
