Aubergine 13-01-2018 07:27 PM

Heya. :)

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 07:27 PM

Hi Aubergine, how are you?

Aubergine 13-01-2018 07:39 PM

I'm OK thanks. Recovered from the crazily busy days at work by spending the day in my pyjamas!

How are you?

No, I’m not vegan, just vegetarian, so I’m allowed ice cream.

Hey Aubergine. A pyjama day is good.

I’ve just had a shower, washed my hair, and am now in a nice clean onesie.

Aubergine 13-01-2018 08:17 PM

Oh that sounds lovely. Do you have clean bed sheets too? That is my favourite. Shower, clean pyjamas and fresh sheets.

My pyjama day has been good. I watched Silent Witness on iPlayer and have been listening to music on Spotify. Also had a play on the piano. :)

Sketchy 13-01-2018 08:19 PM

No, but I’m changing them tomorrow. You are right. It is the best.

That sounds like a good day.

Aubergine 13-01-2018 08:27 PM

Yeah, it's been nice. I really needed it, I think. I've not had a day to myself for a week and I could really feel it. I like my quiet days!

Oh new sheets tomorrow sounds like a plan. Do you have a double or a single bed? I bought a double bed for my flat when I moved from my previous place. It's so nice! My colleague gave me her old kingsize duvet, so it's all snuggly. I love bed!

Sketchy 13-01-2018 08:29 PM

It’s a double bed. A king size duvet sounds great!

Glad you’ve had a nice day. It’s good to have a pyjama day. I’m glad to be in my onesie. It’s so thick and fluffy. I’ve got the fire on too, so I’m nice and toasty.

Aubergine 13-01-2018 09:00 PM

My colleague is so kind. She gave me the duvet and five duvet covers and didn't want anything for them. I bought her some of her favourite cider to say thank you, but she didn't even really want to take that!

Oh you do sound nice and toasty. Are you in your rocking chair?

Sketchy 13-01-2018 09:04 PM

That was really kind of her. People can be nice.

Yip, I’m in my rocking chair. I’m so toasty. I’m watching the simpsons until casualty comes on.

What are you up to?

not_so_insig 13-01-2018 09:05 PM

Hello everyone

Sketchy 13-01-2018 09:10 PM

Hello Dawn. How are you?

Aubergine 13-01-2018 09:13 PM

Sounds lovely, Lorraine. :)

I'm listening to music on Spotify and chatting to a friend via email.

Hey Dawn. :)

nonperson 13-01-2018 11:13 PM

Has everyone gone to bed already?

Aubergine 13-01-2018 11:20 PM

Not everyone!

nonperson 13-01-2018 11:21 PM

Ah hello!

Aubergine 13-01-2018 11:36 PM

Hello there! How's it going?

nonperson 13-01-2018 11:41 PM

It's going...

Trying to find something to watch...

How're you?

Aubergine 13-01-2018 11:47 PM

I'm glad you're plodding on, at least. :)

What kind of thing do you fancy watching?

I'm alright. Had a pyjama day today. It's been nice to wind down.

nonperson 13-01-2018 11:57 PM

Nothing on TV so decided on Tron: Legacy bluray.

Aubergine 13-01-2018 11:58 PM

Oh cool. I've not seen it. Any good?

I'm listening to music. It's nice.

nonperson 14-01-2018 12:00 AM

Saw it in the cinema and wasn't all that impressed but since watching it a few times again I think it's pretty damn good.

Awesome soundtrack by Daft Punk too!

Aubergine 14-01-2018 12:02 AM

Oh cool. One to watch out for. I think I'm going to watch a bit of Hacksaw Ridge tomorrow. Have you seen it?

Oh Daft Punk! I'd forgotten all about them!

nonperson 14-01-2018 12:03 AM

They're in the film too.

I've no idea what Hacksaw Ridge is.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 12:11 AM

Oh wow! That's cool. Might see if I can get hold of it.

It's a film about a conscientious objector in the 2nd world war. He refused to pick up a weapon, so became a medic and treated men on the battlefield. It's about his time in Japan. It's quite graphic in its depiction of war; you can see what horror it must have been, to a small extent. It's really good though.

nonperson 14-01-2018 12:16 AM

Hm sounds interesting. Not the usual type of film I'd go for.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 12:25 AM

What kind of films do you like? I don't often watch films as I'm not good at sitting and concentrating for that long, but I watched Hacksaw Ridge in only two parts, so it must have engaged me!

not_so_insig 14-01-2018 12:29 AM

I am the same - I can't concentrate on a film usually. I watched Beauty and the Beast before and checked Facebook half way through.

nonperson 14-01-2018 12:31 AM

Usually go for sci-fi/fantasy kinda stuff. I also have trouble concentrating on a whole film, or more commonly, staying awake for a whole film so tend to watch things in several parts.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 12:34 AM

Beauty and the Beast sounds good, Dawn. :)

Hehe, I fall asleep when watching things too. I often fall asleep in my hammock chair and wake up in the early hours freezing cold because my throw has turned itself off!

nonperson 14-01-2018 12:41 AM

Yep, same, except without the heated throw, hah.

Fall asleep, wake up at 5, go up to bed for an hour before work. It used to be a nightly occurrence for me but I think my sleeping patterns have become even more unpredictable now.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 12:44 AM

Hehe. Do you have a hammock too?! They're amazing, aren't they? I find it so relaxing to curl up in it and gently sway. I think that's probably why I fall asleep, actually! Hah.

Oh wow. How did you manage to keep going with only an hour in bed? I don't think sleeping in a chair is as restful! Unpredictable sleeping patterns are a nightmare! I hope they start to regulate soon for you.

nonperson 14-01-2018 12:46 AM

Oh, no I don't have a hammock! I just sprawl out on my sofa.

I can function pretty well on little sleep, or disturbed sleep. Although when it gets really bad I end up with a seriously twitchy eyelid.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 01:02 AM

Is your sofa comfy? I have a small sofa, but it's mainly just guests that use it. I like my hammock too much.

Twitchy eyelid doesn't sound fun. I have a bit of a droopy eyelid and it gets even more droopy when I'm tired. It's a bit of a giveaway that I haven't been sleeping well.

nonperson 14-01-2018 01:05 AM

It's not the best sofa really but it's the only place I have to sit. It has lots of cushions and a fleecy throw... and usually a warm cat.

I'm pretty sure people can see my eye twitching, must look really weird.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 01:16 AM

That does sound nice. Cushions are great and a fleecy throw sounds lovely and cosy. I'm a bit envious of your affectionate cat!

Maybe they can, I'm not sure. I'm sure people don't really take much notice if they do though. They're usually too concerned with their own appearance.

nonperson 14-01-2018 01:18 AM

He's a bit too affectionate sometimes. Like right now he's sitting on my arm/elbow so typing is quite hard.

It's probably not as obvious as I think it is.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 01:23 AM

Aww. He sounds like great company though. Bit of an annoying place for him to park himself though!

Nope, probably not.

I'm hungry. I had dinner really early. I might get some cereal...

nonperson 14-01-2018 01:27 AM

I'm also thinking I should eat something.

All I've had was my long awaited fry up at 1pm ish.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 01:31 AM

Food sounds like a good plan then! What do you fancy?

I have bran flakes. Might make them with hot milk though.

nonperson 14-01-2018 01:35 AM

Maybe a smoked salmon cream cheese sandwich.

Never had cereal with hot milk except for Weetabix.

nonperson 14-01-2018 01:36 AM

Kinda afraid that if I start eating I won't stop though, ugh.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 01:44 AM

Smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich sounds lovely! I love that combination. Had it on a bagel the other day. :)

I love cereal with hot milk, especially in Winter. The microwave has just pinged. :)

I get you. You could post a thread if you're struggling?

nonperson 14-01-2018 01:47 AM

Salmon and cream cheese is one of my favourite combinations. I should have bought bagels today...!

I'm struggling with everything - not sure what I'd put in a thread. Been Ranting/Venting and journaling a lot though.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 01:51 AM

Bagels are so good! I have one in the cupboard, but nothing to go on it! Might pop to tesco express tomorrow and pick something up. Want to eat it before it goes stale...

RVing and journalling are good things to do. There are support boards open if you want to get feedback, even if you just reposted something that you've put in an RV etc.

nonperson 14-01-2018 01:56 AM

You could still toast it if it gets a bit stale. I like cinnamon and raisin bagels toasted for breakfast.

Not sure what feedback I want/need.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 01:59 AM

Oh that's true. I didn't think of toasting it. I've never had a cinnamon and raisin bagel! Sound lovely though. Where do you get them from?

nonperson 14-01-2018 02:01 AM

Most supermarkets do them. Sometimes it's the New York Bakery ones but some shops do their own brand ones.

Aubergine 14-01-2018 02:15 AM

Oh cool. Might see if Tesco Express have any. I like the New York Bakery bagels. I think they do a herby one that I like. Maybe with chives? I can't quite remember. They taste really good though!

You still watching your film?

nonperson 14-01-2018 02:28 AM

Nah it's finished now. There's a Daft Punk music video in the bonus stuff though so watching that.
