I can recycle the cardboard tubes here Beckie. It annoys me how different councils can recycle different things. For example my parents live in a different county to me and besides obvious things like glass and tins I have to ask them if they recycle anything else. Also they have a wheelie bin where everything recyclable goes in whereas in my county you have 2 different recycling container systems depending on where you live. For example I have a box for tins and plastics, a separate box for glass and a paper bag. Whereas my brother who lives in the same county as me has a trolley which has a stackable boxes for plastics/tins, glass and paper.

I have a wheelie bin. I can put everything in there except glass. My old house in Herts had a box for glass but we don't have that here. It's ok though because i don't use anything glass really!

I'm surprised you can't recycle the toilet roll tubes Beckie. I have a bin for paper/card, one for plastic/glass/tins, one for food/garden waste, and one for general waste.

Do you only have one normal bin and one for plastic? Where's the glass meant to go?

I could put the cardboard tubes in the recycling wheelie bin. For some reason I'd just never thought of it! ALL recycling can go in the wheelie bin except glass.
You have to take glass to a bottle bank. Which there are lots of tbf
There's a few at asda and a couple near the drs. And other ones a bit further away.

Yep! And one for garden waste like grass cuttings and stuff.
Having one bin makes it easier! Can just chuck everything in there and you don't have millions of boxes to drag to the kerb!

Living in a flat like i do, means we have common bins outside. I Think we have 3. One for paper/cardboard, one for plastic/glass/metal and one for everything else. You sort the trash in your own flat in whatever Way suits you best, then bring it outside and put in its designated bin. And no, this does not work at all!!! Because people in general do not care about anything. Not even saving the planet!!! :-(

I used to have someone put bagged dog poo in my recycling bin.MY RECYCLING BIN!!! It would have been acceptable (but i wouldn't be happy about it) to put it in the general waste bin! There are literally 2 dog poo bins about a 3 minute walk away. People are.lazy! But i guess it's good that they are at least trying and not just leaving it on the pavement. Could have put it in their own bin though :plain:
But that stopped when my neighbour moved in. She probably caught them doing it and had a go at them XD

21 degrees here at the moment. I've only been out to get my prescription then straight back home to stay in.

My phone says 25 but it feels much hotter.

I never know how to judge the heat and what to wear when I go to the chemist.

I'm trying to decide whether to phone Duty or not. I probably shouldn't since things have calmed down a bit for now. They're likely to get worse soon though and I won't be able to call. I really annoy myself. Right now I'm trying to keep Crookshanks cool but he won't go upstairs where the bathroom window is open he prefers to sit on my lap downstairs where I'm not opening any windows because of the pollen.

Yeah my house stays quite cool luckily!

Yeah mine is cool enough. It's just a wooden house with external insulation. When they put the insulation on they said I'd notice it was less cold in the winter but I've never noticed, it just feels as cold as usual.

I have no idea how this house is insulated. The house isn't old so it's probably fairly energy efficient
