not_so_insig 04-06-2021 02:23 PM

It's not supposed to rain here and once again it's hot.

Cacoethes 04-06-2021 04:12 PM

I am now fully vaccinated!

nonperson 04-06-2021 06:52 PM

Not too long until my second jab either.

Cacoethes 04-06-2021 06:57 PM

I hope you weren't too cold today np!
It's still raining!

nonperson 04-06-2021 07:19 PM

I was cold but it was a nice cold after the last few days of melting.

shadow-light 04-06-2021 07:21 PM

i'm still yet to get my first jab :ermm: struggling to find a lift

it is VERY warm here, but also sticking and feels rainy. No rain is forcast though

Cacoethes 04-06-2021 07:29 PM

That's not too bad then np

Ah that's tough Hazel
Is it very far from you?

Its been raining literally all day here!

shadow-light 04-06-2021 07:38 PM

closest vaccine site is about 8 miles away, but it seems to rarely have appointments. So the website keeps trying to send me to one in Hull about 22 miles away :ermm: not that I can rreally get to either but the closer one may be easier to figure out

Cacoethes 04-06-2021 07:41 PM

Oh wow. Even 8 miles is quite a distance!
That's a pain

tamobhuuta 04-06-2021 07:43 PM

I was looking in Vogue and they had the PERFECT present for my sister! But it was almost 400 so I'm trying to find a cheap knock off :)

Cacoethes 04-06-2021 08:11 PM

That's a lot of money!

not_so_insig 04-06-2021 08:12 PM

Well done for having your second jab Beckie. I have my second jab a few weeks time. Thankfully it's in my doctors surgery because I was in group 6 otherwise if I had to wait until my age group I would have had to go to an vaccination centre it would have involved 4 buses to get to where they are sending people from my surgery. Thankfully it's a 8 min walk and it's via the park.

Cacoethes 04-06-2021 08:21 PM

Thanks Dawn
That's lucky
There are 2 vaccination centres in my town.
The one I went to is only a 10 minute walk!
Very handy.
The other one is where the cmht is. 40 min walk.
In the early days people had to go to L hospital which is a train ride away for me!

not_so_insig 04-06-2021 08:26 PM

That's good you didn't have to go far Beckie. I am hoping I have very few side effects. But saying that all I had was slight pins and needles in one hand and a lump where I was jabbed.

Cacoethes 04-06-2021 08:29 PM

Apparently people don't tend to get side effects with their second jab.
I hope that's true!
I felt really nauseous and was sick last time

nonperson 05-06-2021 09:38 AM

Morning everyone.

tamobhuuta 05-06-2021 10:27 AM

Hi np, how are you?

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 10:51 AM

Morning np and tamo!
How are you both?

nonperson 05-06-2021 12:34 PM

Hey Tamo and Beckie.

I'm quite tired and trying to find motivation to go out into the sunshine... x.x

How're you both?

Any side effects from the vaccine, Beckie?

tamobhuuta 05-06-2021 12:34 PM

I am good, i went to Confession this morning which always helps. What are you up to?

nonperson 05-06-2021 12:37 PM

I'm glad it helped. =)

I've been pottering around with some very boring paperworky stuff for work. Goes to show how much I'm avoiding any gardening today. =P

Any plans for the rest of the day?

tamobhuuta 05-06-2021 12:45 PM

My parents are having a friend round. They'll probably be in the garden so my sister and I will hide in the house!

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 12:48 PM

No real side effects. I just feel quite tired which isn't too bad!

Carers have just been. She did my meds then sat on tiktok for about 10 minutes

Goooo and do gardening np! *pokes*

nonperson 05-06-2021 01:07 PM

Well I hope you can find something nice to do while hiding, tamo =P

Ah that's good if it's just tiredness this time. Interesting use of that carer's time... o.O

But but... it's so sunny and I'm hungry... and I need to go empty the bags of garden rubbish from Monday first before I can start any new weeding... and I left them out in the rain yesterday so now they're wet and I really don't want to heft them into my car... =P

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 01:10 PM

And I found one of my tablets that I was meant to have this morning on the kitchen floor...

Oh that does sound like a lot to do! 0_0

nonperson 05-06-2021 01:17 PM

Uhm... you definitely got top notch care this morning then!

It's not that much to do really, will only take half an hour or so to get loaded up, avoid all the people on the way to the compost heap at work, unload and drive back again. Although in the middle of the day a lot of people will be around and wonder what the hell I'm doing.

tamobhuuta 05-06-2021 01:19 PM

Excellent service there Cacoethes!

Hope you manage ok np.

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 01:19 PM

Always do with this company.... :eyeroll:

You should have packed it in a human body shape
That would be funny :p

nonperson 05-06-2021 02:10 PM

Well, you joke about that but we made a scarecrow for work once and wrapped him up in black bin bags and tape to keep for the following year... Looked incredibly dodgy when we carried him to the storage place! Luckily it was out of the public's eye... XD

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 02:19 PM

Haha! That's brilliant! XD

nonperson 05-06-2021 03:57 PM

He might still be up in the loft... but in several pieces because we turned him into Santa one year too. >=)

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 04:19 PM

Haha! Poor thing! :p

nonperson 05-06-2021 04:26 PM

Back when work used to be fun. =/

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 04:29 PM

Awww :(
Can you make it fun again?

nonperson 05-06-2021 05:52 PM

It's a different kind of fun now, I suppose. Fun moments in between the rest of the time of having to be a responsible person.

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 05:55 PM

Being responsible is not fun

nonperson 05-06-2021 06:11 PM

It most certainly is not. =|

What shall I put on my shopping list?

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 06:22 PM

Rice cakes

nonperson 05-06-2021 07:28 PM

Rice cakes are already on there, I don't need cheese, all good for pasta at the moment and chocolate doesn't need to go on the list because it goes without saying =P

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 07:32 PM

Haha! Sounds like you're sorted then!:

nonperson 05-06-2021 07:34 PM

Mostly. As always I'm lacking ideas for easy things for dinners =/

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 07:40 PM

I'll be no help there I'm afraid!
I had a bowl of muesli for dinner!

nonperson 05-06-2021 07:41 PM

I've got cereal on the list actually. Tend to go through cereal phases when it's hot.

Cacoethes 05-06-2021 07:52 PM

Me too
But I rarely eat breakfast so it's cereal for lunch or dinner usually!

nonperson 05-06-2021 11:32 PM

Beckie, have you seen the new "brookies" in Asda?

nonperson 06-06-2021 11:48 AM

Morning everyone. <3

Cacoethes 06-06-2021 11:49 AM

No I haven't! What are they?

Morning np :)
How are you?

tamobhuuta 06-06-2021 12:00 PM

Hi np, hi Cacoethes :)

nonperson 06-06-2021 12:03 PM

Little cubes of pure heaven! Or... brownie bases with a soft cookie layer on top and chocolate chips, hence the name brookie which isn't very catchy but doesn't matter because they are soooo good.

I'm having a funny sad tearful.moment right now but I've been out and mowed the lawn already and have some more stuff to do outside before it rains and that should help.

How're you?

nonperson 06-06-2021 12:04 PM

Ninja Tamo! How're you?

Or not so ninja - I just took three minutes to type a comment.
