Cacoethes 14-05-2025 11:05 AM

Morning everyone

tamobhuuta 14-05-2025 11:49 AM

Morning Cacoethes how are you?

one_step_closer 14-05-2025 12:41 PM

Afternoon.

Thanks everyone. I'll be leaving for my appointment soon.

Miss you too, Jen, but just do what you can.

How are you today, Beckie and Tamo?

tamobhuuta 14-05-2025 03:03 PM

I hope your appointment went well osc. I am ok thanks.

Cacoethes 14-05-2025 03:39 PM

Hi everyone
Hope your appointment was OK lindsay

I'm ok thanks. It's L's day off so we went to the retail park, went to asda, had lunch and then I went to see if my GP letter was ready (it isn't) and fed Colin Robinson and sorted my meds.

How are you tamo?

one_step_closer 14-05-2025 05:40 PM

Anything nice happening today, Tamo?

Do you have things to do this evening, Beckie?

The GP said she thinks my pain and stiffness is muscular but she can't give me any pain relief because of the stomach issues I had with the last painkillers. She said what I need is physio but the waiting list is really long. So not the best appointment. I just need to continue the way things are for now.

Cacoethes 14-05-2025 05:52 PM

Just looking after S when L goes to rugby later

Did she refer you to physio?

one_step_closer 14-05-2025 06:46 PM

I hope S is as calm as possible for you.

I think I've been on the physio waiting list for a while.

Cacoethes 14-05-2025 06:53 PM

He's just been playing outside so far, so that's fine!
I'll try and get him in for bed later. But L knows that if he doesn't want to move, he will NOT be moving. So I'm not overly stressed about making sure he's in bed for when she's back (though i will obviously try!)

Could you call them to chase it up? Or ask for confirmation?

Ahimsa 14-05-2025 07:28 PM

Evening all

I'm home from work, just a half day to go tomorrow and then I've got 11 days off :) (apart from 3 quizzes and 4 bar shifts!) But 11 days off from my main job.

How is everyone?

Cacoethes 14-05-2025 07:36 PM

Hey beth!
How are you?
Anything planned for your days off?

Ahimsa 14-05-2025 07:42 PM

Other than the pub shifts, I'm seeing a friend on Tuesday, I have to take the car to the garage on Wednesday so I'm stuck there until it's sorted, and the cats have an appointment on Thursday, and then I'm getting my hair cut too.

Other than that, the plan is to catch up on the washing and house tidying ;) Nothing too exciting really.

Cacoethes 14-05-2025 07:44 PM

Sometimes it's nice to not do exciting things! I do hope you manage to get some self care time in there too though!

tamobhuuta 14-05-2025 09:20 PM

I hope you enjoy your quieter days Ahimsa.

How were things with S Cacoethes?

Waiting lists are frustrating.

I saw the psychologist today.

Cacoethes 14-05-2025 09:57 PM

Things weren't great. I summarised in my rv.
All is fine now though.

How was it tamo?

Cacoethes 15-05-2025 07:48 AM

Morning everyone

not_so_insig 15-05-2025 11:04 AM

Morning all. Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. I woke up late and then was busy. I broke a glass this morning.

not_so_insig 15-05-2025 11:32 AM

Just done a phone call to the council. Urgh.

Cacoethes 15-05-2025 11:32 AM

That's never fun
Did it go OK?

tamobhuuta 15-05-2025 11:33 AM

Morning guys x

not_so_insig 15-05-2025 11:34 AM

It seemed to go ok. The council are sending me out a new council tax bill. Didn't realise when you transferred onto uc you had to pay council tax even if you're incapable of work.

not_so_insig 15-05-2025 11:35 AM

Morning tamobhuuta how are you?

Cacoethes 15-05-2025 11:35 AM

Morning tamo
How are you?

Council tax is such a pain! I resent paying it tbh XD

tamobhuuta 15-05-2025 11:38 AM

I'm ok thanks. Had a surprising ward rounds - they want me to go to rehab.

Cacoethes 15-05-2025 12:45 PM

How are you feeling about that suggestion?

one_step_closer 15-05-2025 05:46 PM

Hi everyone. I was with my friend for quite a while today which is why I'm just on here now.

I thought I have always paid council tax? But I wouldn't know for sure either way because I'm terrible at understanding money stuff.

What have you been doing today, Beckie?

Are you taking some time to think about things, Tamo? Do you have people you can talk through things with?

tamobhuuta 15-05-2025 06:37 PM

The psych is back in on Monday I think so I will be discussing it with everyone until then!

Cacoethes 15-05-2025 09:48 PM

Did you have a nice time lindsay?

I'm just back from work. Exhausted!

not_so_insig 16-05-2025 07:20 AM

Morning all. Beaten Beckie again

not_so_insig 16-05-2025 07:39 AM

Also Lindsay I think the council tax system is different in Scotland. For example your water bill is included in your council tax and you only have one water company for the whole of Scotland. Whereas in England and Wales our water is billed separately and not included in our council tax. There's also several water companies and where you live depends what water company you fall under. For example I am under a different water company to my parents. Unlike gas and electricity you can't change water company. So that may explain why you have always had to pay council tax bill whereas if you were on an older benefit it was included as part of your benefits package in England and Wales.

Ahimsa 16-05-2025 10:47 AM

Morning everyone, how're we doing?

Day 1 of annual leave (from main job) and I've had the most confusing morning. I got told by the GP that I needed a review for my long term health condition, and I rang and said that other than ADHD, I dont have a long term health condition.

They said I needed monitoring bloods for my ADHD meds, which fair enough. So I booked an appointment and went in, and the nurse says I'm down for my thyroid bloods but she doesn't know why as I'm not on any thyroid medications. Correct.

She says my ADHD med monitoring ones are September so we can't do them, but she can test my thyroid if I want? I basically said "I'm here, you're here, there's a history of thyroid issues in my family, it can't do any harm to check so we may as well and then it's not a complete waste of an appointment!"

The plan for the rest of the day is
- have a bath
- tidy the kitchen
- put the washing away and put the next load on
- sort my car tyre out
- fresh bedding
- do the washing up
- mow the grass
- I'm seeing my friend at 3
- pub shift at 5

one_step_closer 16-05-2025 11:32 AM

Morning everyone.

I didn't know that, Dawn. How are you today?

GPs get things wrong a lot I find, even though everything is electronic. I've been told I needed reviews a couple of times and then get a text saying actually I don't. My blood test results were read wrongly by someone in hospital once and they thought I had low potassium and made me drink those horrible salty drinks only to then realise the my potassium was fine on the initial blood test. I hope at least having the thyroid blood tests is helpful, Beth. Good luck with your tasks and I hope you have a nice time with your friend.

Cacoethes 16-05-2025 11:41 AM

I'm in Norwich so didn't have time to log on XD

one_step_closer 16-05-2025 11:54 AM

You're visiting your Nanny?

Cacoethes 16-05-2025 01:00 PM

I am indeed!

tamobhuuta 16-05-2025 01:27 PM

Afternoon all.

not_so_insig 16-05-2025 01:59 PM

I am ok thanks Lindsay except I got bitten by something last night and am now sporting a plaster on my arm.

Ahimsa 16-05-2025 02:29 PM

Oh now annoying, is it at least a colourful plaster?

My blood test has bruised :(

We're getting there with my list -
- have a bath - done
- tidy the kitchen - half done
- sort the cats litter trays and water fountain - done
- put the washing away and put the next load on - done

- sort my car tyre out
- fresh bedding - the current bedding is washed and drying outside, I've not put new on yet though, so half done?
- do the washing up
- mow the grass - half done, I've done the back, but not the front - that may have to be tomorrow now.
- I'm seeing my friend at 3
- pub shift at 5

I've also been to Sainsbury's and Argos :)

tamobhuuta 16-05-2025 03:46 PM

Aw owie insig.

Well done Ahimsa.

not_so_insig 16-05-2025 05:00 PM

No Beth I only have only boring plasters.

Cacoethes 16-05-2025 05:20 PM

Back from visiting my nanny :)

not_so_insig 16-05-2025 05:22 PM

Did you enjoy yourself Beckie?

one_step_closer 16-05-2025 05:56 PM

That sounds annoying, Dawn. Is the bite itchy?

I hope wherever you got the blood taken from isn't sore and heals soon, Beth. You're getting through your tasks plus extra!

How are you today, Tamo?

Did you have a nice time with your Nanny, Beckie?

not_so_insig 16-05-2025 06:20 PM

It's itchy when I don't have the plaster on Lindsay.

Cacoethes 16-05-2025 06:35 PM

I did thanks guys!
Shattered now though!

Bites are so annoying!

How are you lindsay?

Ahimsa 16-05-2025 11:13 PM

evening all

Cacoethes 17-05-2025 08:29 AM

Morning guys!

not_so_insig 17-05-2025 12:31 PM

Afternoon all. I am boiling hot but otherwise ok. I am about to watch Doctor Who.

not_so_insig 17-05-2025 12:42 PM

Oh gawd Rylan is on Doctor Who. I can't stand him so gawd knows how long I will last.

tamobhuuta 17-05-2025 01:55 PM

Good afternoon all. My task today is to wash my hair.
