Hi Lillie.

How are you all?

chinahorse 16-09-2018 11:48 AM

Morning lovely, how're you? Any plans for today?

I'm a bit sad but trying to be productive. Ive showered and cleaned the rest of the bathroom- taken my sheets off and put them on to wash and folded up some dry laundry. Trying to convince myself to do some of my course. Also need to go into town later.

Eska 16-09-2018 12:49 PM

Aw Lillie, it sounds like you're doing really well. I'm sorry you are sad.

I'm not sure how I'm doing... I spoke to my just-ex-boyfriend this morning and he was much calmer, which is good. Now just chilling out, will watch the grand prix in a bit.

chinahorse 16-09-2018 04:59 PM

Hey eska, quiet today!

Sorry to hear about you and the ex bf. Which grand prix is it?

Eska 16-09-2018 05:14 PM

Twas Singapore! It's a night race. I slept through half of it though.

How are you getting on?

chinahorse 16-09-2018 05:40 PM

Erm getting into the whole 'night' spirit then?

I made it out the house and bought some jarmies and a cardie for work and a skirt Ive had my eye on. Also went food shopping and didnt make as many appalling choices as usual. Now waiting for the washing machine to finish so I can snooze.

zombiehunter 16-09-2018 05:57 PM

*zorbs into the thread*

Eska 16-09-2018 06:28 PM

Lillie, I was indeed. Sounds like a productive shopping trip! Well done on the food choices :) What's the skirt like?

Hi Zombie

zombiehunter 16-09-2018 07:00 PM

hi skamo :-D

one_step_closer 16-09-2018 07:02 PM

Well done with all your productivity Lillie, you always seem to achieve so much.

Did you have a chilled out day Eska?

Hi Zombie, how are you doing?

zombiehunter 16-09-2018 07:04 PM

all the **** good here thanks OSC how the **** are you??

one_step_closer 16-09-2018 07:14 PM

Next question!

What have you been getting up to this Sunday Zombie? Are you prepared for the terrible weather then sort of heat wave we're supposed to be getting this coming week?

zombiehunter 16-09-2018 07:29 PM

a chilled sunday for me, reading, violent video games and sunday dinner at my wee grannys with my sis and niece and nephew

and whatever the weather does it wont be as bad as it was on my trip to the highlands :-p

one_step_closer 16-09-2018 07:33 PM

Violent video games don't sound particularly chilled! Sounds like a good day though.

Was the weather absolutely terrible?

zombiehunter 16-09-2018 07:35 PM

they chill me, the same as blasting metal it's cathartic :-p

well I had the right clothes for it but cos of the rain the river was waaaaaaaaay higher than usual so we couldn't get materials for certain jobs that needed doing so we did what we could with what we had then came the **** home on Thursday, I was meant to be coming back today

on the plus side i'm off work until at least the 24th so I've had a few more days chill time :-D

not_so_insig 16-09-2018 08:39 PM

We are supposed to get a storm tomorrow. Been as I live in a windy spot I forecast not being able to watch telly.

nonperson 16-09-2018 09:37 PM

Sunny and warm all next week here, I think. =(

not_so_insig 16-09-2018 10:08 PM

One of my cats decided to throw up on the carpet :-(

nonperson 17-09-2018 01:15 PM

Not another pukey cat!

Why is it so hot today? I thought summer was over =(

not_so_insig 17-09-2018 02:23 PM

It's not hot here in fact it was raining.

one_step_closer 17-09-2018 02:40 PM

The weather is a bit in between here. I was expecting it to be colder.

How are you all?

nonperson 17-09-2018 03:10 PM

It’s 25 degrees here, full sun. I want to go home. =(

one_step_closer 17-09-2018 03:13 PM

Wow, are you sure you're not in a very foreign place?

When is home time?

nonperson 17-09-2018 03:15 PM

Yeah maybe I went to the wrong workplace this morning.... o.o

Official finish at 4:30 but I have more work stuff to do after that as well so probably won’t be done until 5:30 at the earliest.

one_step_closer 17-09-2018 03:17 PM

:/ Is there any way to cool yourself down a bit? I hope the weather gets a bit cooler just for you, damn the people who want the heat!

nonperson 17-09-2018 04:19 PM

Yes damn them! It’s breezy so not too bad and I’m used to working in the heat though.

However the bastards I work with have locked me in and now I might have to climb a tall gate to get out....!!

nonperson 17-09-2018 04:40 PM

****, Iím actually going to have to do this..... :ermm:

Eska 17-09-2018 04:46 PM

Uh oh! That doesn't sound ideal. Is there no one you could call to let you out?

nonperson 17-09-2018 06:20 PM

All the normal people I have numbers for are off on holiday/sick!

It was fine, I made it. =)

not_so_insig 18-09-2018 11:57 AM

Morning all. It's windy here. Fortunately I am able to watch telly through the dish.

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 01:01 PM

Hey guys

one_step_closer 18-09-2018 02:09 PM

Hi Dawn and Beckie, how are you both?

How windy is it Dawn? I think it's supposed to be bad here tomorrow.

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 02:22 PM

Hi Lindsay
Im ok thanks. How are you?

Its a bit windy here

not_so_insig 18-09-2018 02:49 PM

The wind has died down now but it's supposed to come back tomorrow.

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 03:36 PM

Its died down here too

one_step_closer 18-09-2018 04:27 PM

The bus driver was talking to someone about battening down the hatches. Don't know if it will be that bad. I never know what to expect with the weather now.

I'm ?

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 04:37 PM

I read that Scotland, Nothern ireland and north England have been advised to batten down the hatches.
Danger to life warning apparently from 'Storm Ali', the first named storm of the season

Eska 18-09-2018 04:43 PM

It was pretty windy and raining here this morning but it's just cloudy now.

I survived my second day!

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 04:46 PM

Its a bit cloudy here but actually been quite warm!

Yay well done! :-D

Eska 18-09-2018 04:55 PM

Thank you! :D I actually felt somewhat useful and everything.

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 05:15 PM

That's brilliant!
Always good to feel useful!

Eska 18-09-2018 05:31 PM

How are you?

not_so_insig 18-09-2018 05:31 PM

The wind is back

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 05:34 PM

I'm ok thanks.
Just looking at luxury holidays/cruises that I'll never be able to afford in my entire life

Aubergine 18-09-2018 06:11 PM

HELLO! How are you all?

I'm shattered. Like, absolutely exhausted! And I'm working four hours on Friday. The longest shift yet on my phased return! Eep.

My OU module tutor is so nice. She sent me this:

Dear Aubergine,

You have shown such grit and determination this year - I am in awe of what you have achieved, given your circumstances. I am so glad that you did not defer, you deserve to pass. I do hope that this will be a positive thing to take out of what you yourself have described as a 'tricky' time.

I hope that you will find yourself in the position to be able to take up your studies again soon. You have so much going for you on the academic side of things.

I will be waiting with anticipation to hear about the results. I hope you can have a bit of a rest now! I have been priviledged to help you along this first part of your OU journey!

Very best wishes,

Cacoethes 18-09-2018 06:17 PM

Aww that is such a lovely message to get Aubergine!
I've always found the OU tutors very lovely and helpful

Eska 18-09-2018 06:29 PM

Aw Aubergine that's lovely! And all sounds very true and wise.

one_step_closer 18-09-2018 06:37 PM

Well done Eska!

Such a nice message Aubergine! I hope Friday goes ok.

I really need to see my CPN tomorrow so I hope the weather isn't so bad that my appointment is cancelled.

nonperson 18-09-2018 07:07 PM

That's a lovely message, Aubergine.

Hello everyone.
