I was starving!
We had like a deconstructed burger. Slimming world recipe! Really hope you sleep well! |
Oh, sounds nice! Love a good burger.
Your tattoo is amazing! |
Burger sounds good, and saw your tattoo on fb looks amazing!
My sense of taste is still fairly off but is improving, I had a really nice chicken and veg broth thing earlier and managed a little bit of beef stew later on which is a big improvement. |
Hi Buttons.
Didn't think any one else was up. |
Happy Saturday.
I had an inkling I was getting a cold yesterday. Today it has come out in full force. Ugh. |
Hey guys
Sorry to hear about your cold aubergine :( Hope you recover soon! Me and Chels are on the way to Great Yarmouth for sea and then Norwich for shopping. She's asleep so I'm bored :p And the signal is terrible |
Hey Beckie! I used to live in Norfolk. :) King's Lynn though, so the other side to Great Yarmouth. There used to be a bus that went direct though, so I sometimes caught that and went for a paddle. :D Tended not to go to Norwich, as it was awkward to get to and Cambridge was closer! I hope you have fun! Silly signal.
|
Cool!
I was born in Norwich. Moved when I was 5 but I still think of it as home! Cambridge is also cool though! Ive been there quite a bit. I dont think any paddling will be occurring though because it is freezing!! |
Oh cool. It's nice to go back to somewhere from childhood. :)
No paddling?! But one must paddle when going to the beach! I paddle in the sea when I go to my beach, whatever the weather. Cannot resist. Also, always take my shoes off on the sand. :) |
The squidgy of sand between your toes is the nicest feeling.
Urgh I got up earlier than I had to so I could go into work early but I cba. |
Do you have to go into work early?
|
No. I just wanted to help A out a bit. But I suppose if Im too worn out to work at my full potential I won't be any use anyway.
|
That's very true. I think a bit of extra free time to try and relax would be better for you.
|
Far far too cold!
I agree with Aubergine, Lillie!! |
It's never too cold for that beckie!
|
It bloody well is!! XD
Having a coffee before Gt Yarmouth train! I was watching Flatliners on my phone, it's really good so far! |
Nope, never too cold for walking barefoot on the beach and paddling in the sea. I've been on the beach when the sea water had gone all slushy and there had been snow, and I still paddled. I was IP at the time and on escorted leave. It didn't really impress the people with me, but they didn't argue too much. Made me feel better! Do it!
|
It's 4°C !!!!!
I can imagine they weren't too impressed about that!! |
So?! Dooooo iiiiiiiiit! It'll be refreshing!
No, they weren't. It really did feel rather freeing though, so it was worth them letting me do it. :D |
Nope not doing it!!
Chels might though! Well each to their own! |
Chels should do it and then tell you what you're missing. :P
|
I agree! My friends and I drove to Brighton at 10pm in November and went for a swim- was freezing but totally worth it!
|
Hey Emma! How's it going?
I went on holiday to Devon with my friend a couple of years ago. That was November and we went in the sea too. :D Though we did it in the daytime. Not brave enough to do it at night! That's impressive. There been links between cold water swimming and improvements in certain aspects of mental illness, I think. Depression is the one I read about, if I remember rightly. It's good for you! |
I was hypomanic so really didn’t care
Not too bad thanks. Dreading work but hey ho! Having kitten cuddles whilst I wait for my friend to pick me up as she’s looking after the act for me and giving me a lift to the train station. |
Haha! :P
How did you sleep? Kitten cuddles sound great. Send one over here. That's great of your friend. :) |
My sleep is terrible at the moment. I lose count of how many times I wake up. Lol, I’ll just ship Leo in the post. I’m sure he’d be grateful for the adventure!
Has your mum been yet? How are you doing today? |
Oh dear! I'm sorry you woke up lots. Not fun. Yes, ship Leo to me. I'll have a quick cuddle and then ship him back. :)
No, Mum's not been yet. She said she'd phone before she comes and she hasn't phoned yet, but it should be at some point this afternoon. I have woken up full of cold. Cannot breathe through my nose at all and I feel all grotty. Will not be doing much today! |
Hi all.
Get lots of rest and orange juice, Aubergine. =) |
Hey Person! How are you?
I have no orange juice, but I do like it when I'm coldy, so may ask Mum to bring some. :) I'm still in bed, so have got the rest thing down! :) |
Hi =) I'm ok... really really tired, had a totally messed up sleep last night and then when I finally got up thought I was having a total technology breakdown... which isn't the case (just turns out I switched the wrong plug on...!)
You deffo need orange juice for a cold! |
I saw you'd been up late. I'm sorry that sleep was so messed up. Technology breakdowns are scary! I'm glad that it was just that you'd switched the wrong plug on! I was so sad when my Chromebook broke. It was so cheap and great for three years, but gave up a few months ago. Was having to do everything on my phone! Thankfully I was given some money for Christmas, so bought a new laptop. Would have needed to anyway, as you need Windows or Mac to study with OU, really. Definitely would not have been able to do it with Chromebook (RIP).
|
Aw, it's funny how we can get attached to pieces of technology!
My laptop is an old work laptop from the ex... ick... and it's fine for what I need it for, except the battery doesn't work any more so I need to have it plugged in all the time. Also, finally sorting out my phone contract - just put my new SIM in and it all seems to be working! I was told I'd have to connect to iTunes by USB to finalise unlocking my phone and I was worried about that too because my phone doesn't seem to connect to my laptop any more! Not sure if it's phones fault or laptops fault... Hate technology.... love technology. Argh, it causes so much grief sometimes. |
Oh, annoying about the battery not working. I'd get worried about losing work or whatever if I accidentally pulled the cable out/had a power cut/something. But then, I worry way too much about stuff sometimes.
Oh I'm glad you're phone contract is working! Got it much cheaper? I went from £34.99 a month to £13.99 a month going SIM only! |
I've gone from £32.99 to £10! Going to buy a new phone at some point, but want to save a bit first and maybe eek out my current one a bit longer.
I actually can't believe how happy am that it's working. I've been worrying about this since November, or possibly before, and as usual left it last minute but now I am finally free from the ex (old contract was still in his name)... It's weirdly liberating. =D |
Nice! What do you get for £10? Saving for a bit sounds like a good plan. What phone would you like? I hope your current phone cooperates. :)
That's great! I imagine it is liberating! Well done for sorting it. :) |
I went with Three cos they were doing the best deals and I need wifi calling with calls and text. O2 only did it for calls which wasn't helpful. I get... 4GB data and I think texts and calls are unlimited, not that I really use that but the price was good. =)
And now that I've dropped my contract price I might start paying for Sky tv again. I'm waiting for some more Tesco vouchers to come so that'll give me money off a phone. Think I'll get an iPhone 7 which will be a slight upgrade. My current one is having all sorts of battery issues. |
Ooooh I really need to phone Vodafone and go to sim only. Keep putting it off though!
|
Hi Pomegranate. =)
You might be able to do it via online chat if phoning is difficult. |
Hi nonperson :-) currently waiting at train station cos the train is already delayed
|
Good start. =/
|
Oh that is a good deal! I went with EE because I get a data boost because I have their broadband too. The £13.99 gives me 500mb of data, but they give me an extra 5GB. It would be a terrible deal without the extra data and I stream Spotify a LOT, so need a reasonable amount per month. My internet gets upgraded to fibre on the 9th of this month. They're doing a deal with free router and free set up. They've upped the price of the normal broadband to £23 and decreased the fiber to £25, so I went for it. Think they're trying to phase us normal broadband people out. It'll be good though. I currently only get speeds of about 5mb/s. This fibre, the minimum speed is a guaranteed 27mb/s. So I'll probably notice a bit of a difference!
Sky and Tesco vouchers for a new phone sounds good! Phone them, Emma! It'll be worth it! |
EE was my other option but thought I'd give Three a go.
That is a good deal for yours with all the added extras! And oooh, fibre broadband. I currently get less than 2mb internet speed, hah. Can't imagine speeds of 27mb/s! There is fibre here now but just haven't upgraded and it's more expensive. I can cope with what I have for now. =P |
Three are supposed to be really good. And great if you need wifi calls and texts. I hope it's good service they provide you with. :)
Less that 2mb/s? Wow. Do you get a lot of buffering with video and stuff? The price is what's always put me off, but they phoned me and explained the deal and it's only an extra £36 over 18 months, which I didn't think was too bad. Hopefully it'll be good! |
I have no clue what speed my internet is lol. It’s been playing up for weeks and rather than phone the provider and risk someone coming out I just decided to swap to Vodafone fibre . Must remember to cancel plus net actually.
|
Yeah that's not a bad price at all.
I do get buffering quite a lot, but BBC iPlayer and All 4 do work most of the time. Not that I use them often. Sometimes it goes so slow that I can't even upload normal websites! It's mostly fine though, I don't really need super speeds. |
Have you got the fibre yet? My Dad has Vodaphone fibre and gets on well with it. Haha, I didn't want anyone coming out either, but because it's just fibre to the box thing outside, no one needs to come into my house. A BT guy just comes and switches something over in the street. Or that's what the guy on the phone told me!
|
I’ve got the box and apparently some dude switched it on on 25th January but to be honest I haven’t actually even opended the parcel yet lol so it’s kind of just sat on my side.
|
Hehe. I hope you feel up to getting it up and running soon. :)
|
I don't want a Sky man to come and set up Sky for me, but I'm gonna have to suck it up I think... Already got the dish, dunno why they need someone to come and plug in a box for me! That's the only thing putting me off at the moment. =(
|
Annoying that they have to come in to plug in a box. What do you like to watch on Sky? I don't watch enough TV to justify getting it, and couldn't really afford it anyway. Really love crime drama, but there's enough on Amazon Prime to keep me going!
