How long is it going to take to fix lindsay?

It's just such a long walk! Though doughballs are work it tbh!
And it's not actually really a long walk. But it's one long road, which makes it seem like a long walk!
It will be mental up there. School holidays + Saturday!

It's sunny again now :eyeroll:

Enjoy your chai tea!

tamobhuuta 29-07-2023 01:04 PM

We went to a retail park and there were SO MANY CHILDREN.

long road 29-07-2023 01:08 PM

Asda has rehydration salts. You should buy them Beckie; (Continuing my likely pointless campaign to help you with your hydration. Because even if you buy them you will likely forget to use them XD)

Cacoethes 29-07-2023 02:02 PM

I have returned!
Lots of children, yes!
And i went into m&s. So a ton of very slow old people.
But i actually did the walk in 13 mins somehow???
Must have gone through a time warp XD

I should buy them.
I will forget
Not doing asda now anyway!

Pi.R^2 29-07-2023 02:14 PM

But did you get the garlic dough balls???

Also sad times Lindsay, I hope you get it fixed soon!

Cacoethes 29-07-2023 02:17 PM

Can confirm possession of garlic doughballs.
And i just realised what an amazing gluten free and vegan range M&S has.
I am neither, just something i noticed

long road 29-07-2023 02:32 PM

Om nom nom nom garlic doughballs.

I am just about to leave to head to afternoon tea

Cacoethes 29-07-2023 02:40 PM

Have a lovely time jen!

nonperson 29-07-2023 03:08 PM

Doughbaaaaaaaaalls! :woot:

tamobhuuta 29-07-2023 03:30 PM

Om nom

Cream tea ftw!

tamobhuuta 29-07-2023 04:07 PM

Where are the people?

Pi.R^2 29-07-2023 05:13 PM

I am here! How are you doing tamo?

tamobhuuta 29-07-2023 05:54 PM

Mixed. How are you? Been up to much?

Pi.R^2 29-07-2023 07:10 PM

Oh that doesn’t sound great! Up to anything this evening?

I am just out collecting our carryouts for dinner, yum!!

tamobhuuta 29-07-2023 07:32 PM

Oo yum. I've been collecting relevant info from old diaries.

long road 29-07-2023 07:40 PM

I got home about an hour ago and having been trying to rest but not quite managing it. Seeing family was tiring but the 90 year old birthday girl enjoyed herself which is main thing.

Food was good I have some cake left for tomorrow.

Pi.R^2 29-07-2023 07:56 PM

relevant to what tamo? If you want to share!

Glad the birthday girl had a good time at least Jen; hope you get some rest soon.

Totally read that as "carrots" and was part way through thinking "Wow, so that's vegan life..." before I realised.

What did you get?!

Birthday cake for tomorrow is something nice to look forward to, Jen.

tamobhuuta 29-07-2023 08:36 PM

I want to see my risk score over the years. Back in uni I started recording it most days. I've kept hold of all my diaries! So far it seems things have got worse :(

nonperson 29-07-2023 08:46 PM

Is this a good thing to be doing, tamo? Maybe your parameters are different to back then.

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 10:15 AM

Np - that's the beauty of the score, it's always the same parameters.

Meanwhile, good morning everyone!

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 10:21 AM

But what if your 'worst' now, isn't what you worst was?
If that makes sense!
My 10/10 score 10 years ago would be VASTLY different to a 10/10 score now!
Just due to meds, circumstances, age, environment etc.

And morning!

Pi.R^2 30-07-2023 10:24 AM

Good morning friends and associates!

tamo, I'm interested in these parameters- are none of them subjective?

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 10:35 AM

Can I concentrate?
What's my motivation like?
Am I hearing voices?
Do I believe things others don't?
Do I have plans to act on those things or to harm myself?

A score out of 2 for each: 1 for yes it's there, 2 for its a problem.
Then, to stop professionals confusing it with a mood score out of 10, I divide it by 2 to get a score out of 5!

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 10:43 AM

Morning jenna!
*wonders if i am friend or associate*
:tongue2:

Does seem like things that could change quite a bit!
The harming one could be quite black and white i guess, but the others could change parameters quite significantly over time

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 10:51 AM

There goes my faith in my infallible scoring system!

I wrote it exactly to cause this :P

tamo, those sounds like really sensible and insightful parameters to use for your ratings system. I agree that they could still be subjective over a long period of time (I wonder if at your worst you might have put 0 for believing things others don't believe because I think you were convinced that other people believed them too but were lying?) but it sounds really useful to monitor how you're doing over shorter periods of time.

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 10:59 AM

Thanks Pi. How are you?

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 11:01 AM

Jenna coming in here, causing drama!

Parameters can always change.
That's why i tend to refuse to do the 1-10 scale now. And explain why.
1-10 just seems so black and white when mental health isn't like that.
I could be at an 8 for a good mood, but then a 2 for psychosis, and maybe a 6 for motivation.....you'd need like an entire appointments worth of time just to cover all the different scales you'd need!

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 11:05 AM

Whenever they ask me my mood out of 10, I say 6. Anything else gets misinterpreted.

Zurg 30-07-2023 11:12 AM

Hi all :)

Ugh, i hate it when they ask about mood on a scale >:(
Or the famous “so, where do you see yourself in 10 years??”
I personally feel like it's a stupid way to ask. And i don't like to use precious appointment time on answering silly questions.

I have a sore throat. Started last night. Has gotten worse. I feel quite sorry for myself. Mostly because there's never anyone else to feel sorry for me ;)

Pi.R^2 30-07-2023 11:15 AM

tamo, have they noticed yet that you just always say 6??

Sympathy for your sore throat Zurg! I am feeling sorry for you if that helps.

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 11:16 AM

Hi Zurg. Sorry about your throat :(

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 11:19 AM

Probably not Pi, I don't think they really pay attention. Thinking about it, sometimes it says things in my notes about 'low mood' or 'a mood component' which suggests they also pay attention to what I don't say. Which is good I guess?

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 11:21 AM

I used to hate it when they used to say 'you have your whole life ahead of you'
They haven't said that since i was about 25.....

Many sympathies for your sore throat zurg!
They are dreadful! Plenty of ice cream for you!

My psychs seem to make stuff up as they go along.
They said i appeared dysphoric last time XD
And that i was talking really fast.
I absolutely wasn't! And wasn't and am not experiencing dysphoria. Weird.

Pi.R^2 30-07-2023 11:37 AM

Maybe they should now say that you don't have your whole life ahead of you anymore - that'd be a really cheery way to start the conversation :P

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 11:42 AM

I mean, anything is better than telling my cpn about bad paranoia and him literally insisting i think of the worst case scenario XD

Pi.R^2 30-07-2023 01:05 PM

Oh God, he must be up there in the RYL hall of fame for worst mental health professionals?

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 01:08 PM

Definitely!
I told him i didn't want to think about it. Multiple times...

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 01:26 PM

Was he actually mad himself?

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 01:33 PM

Probably. He randomly shaved all his hair off recently.
And asks questions i LITERALLY just answered. And that's using the actual definition of literally.

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 01:43 PM

When I saw my CPN last week he was worried my period coming early had traumatised me. He kept asking me if I was ok and I had enough pads. Asking once was fair enough but!

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 01:44 PM

That's really weird!

long road 30-07-2023 01:52 PM

*pokes head into thread* Hi!

Pi.R^2 30-07-2023 02:06 PM

Oh my days tamo!!! As if you’d reach this age and suddenly need a CPN to help manage your periods :plain:

Hey Jen’

long road 30-07-2023 02:26 PM

*waves*

I may not be doing so good. Nothing serious just a little off.

tamobhuuta 30-07-2023 03:52 PM

Hi LR. Would a hug help?

Cacoethes 30-07-2023 04:15 PM

Sorry to hear that jen!

I am currently being subjected to the same 30 seconds of the same songs on repeat while jasmine watches and makes tiktoks :plain:

long road 30-07-2023 04:48 PM

Hug would be nice.

I think it's partly because it's first day of my period and seeing as I anaemic it's taking more out of me than usual. That and my brain mildly trolling me.

Pi.R^2 30-07-2023 04:50 PM

Oh God, bloody tiktok.
