Hi Zurg. I just got back from mass. How are you?

not_so_insig 17-09-2023 06:32 PM

Hi zurg I am not doing too good today. I went out though.

long road 17-09-2023 06:40 PM

Hey guys I am in hospital again, got admitted last night going to stay in this time and get all the tests done they were going to do outpatient. Needed a couple of nebulisers since I have been here so was the right plan.

one_step_closer 17-09-2023 06:54 PM

Hi, Kat! How are you getting on?

Hope you enjoyed Casualty and Mass, Tamo.

I'm glad you managed to go out, Dawn. Hope you are doing better soon.

Good luck, Jen.

tamobhuuta 17-09-2023 07:02 PM

Sorry you're back in hospital lr, sounds like the best place to be right now?

Sorry you're not doing great insig.

long road 17-09-2023 07:10 PM

I think it's the right place just not my favourite place.

Zurg 17-09-2023 08:23 PM

Yay, peeps are back :D

I hope you feel better tomorrow, Dawn :)
And you too, Jen!!!
Have you heard about a bed yet, Tamo?
How are you tonight, Lindsay?

I feel tired. But i refuse to go to sleep. So i'll have a major struggle with getting up tomorrow. Which i CAN avoid. But i don't want to!!!!
I seriously get on my own nerves sometimes….

tamobhuuta 17-09-2023 08:31 PM

Still waiting for a bed Zurg. I hope you sleep soon.

Cacoethes 17-09-2023 08:39 PM

I have the zooomies

long road 18-09-2023 06:10 AM

Morning Everyone,

FND behaved a bit better in hospital last night, only had a couple of seizures in the night and I actually got some sleep. Woke up a few times but must have got at least 7 hours broken up.

How is everyone else this morning?

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 07:36 AM

Morning!
Glad you got a bit more sleep

I was woken up a couple of times by a random lady who screams that people are killing her while they're changing her pad or whatever but went back to sleep!
Zoomies have lessened. I think i was just over tired

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 10:04 AM

Morning guys, I'm glad sleep happened. I've got my clozapine blood test this morning.

I hate waiting for a bed! They couldn't even tell me what time of day they allocate beds!

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 10:11 AM

Hope it goes ok!

Been having a lovely chat with the ladies in my bay.
They're all so lovely
They take it in turns to go and get ice lollies from downstairs XD
Real sense of community. The nurses all say that this is their favourite bay!

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 10:13 AM

Aw that's sweet!

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 10:21 AM

They'll probably start kicking people off the wards from today, so it's more likely during the week when people get discharged and sent on leave
Fingers crossed for some news soon!

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 10:24 AM

It's not that I want to be in hospital! I just feel constantly on edge. You're right, no one gets discharged on a weekend.

My mum just fell and went thwack on the patio. It reminded me that in the future we'll have to worry about our parents getting old and having falls etc!

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 10:37 AM

No i totally get that!

Oh no! Hope she's ok!
Well, yes. But everyone falls sometimes

not_so_insig 18-09-2023 11:05 AM

How old is your mum tamobhuuta? Hope she's ok.

Morning all.

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 11:10 AM

Only 61! She's alright for a good while :)

I'm waiting for my blood test. I was a bit late because I had to go back home for an extra form the Crisis Team want doing.

not_so_insig 18-09-2023 11:13 AM

That's good. I thought you were going to say that your mum was in her 80s.

one_step_closer 18-09-2023 11:39 AM

Hey everyone.

Glad you got some sleep, Jen. Do you know what's happening today?

I'm glad you've got nice ladies in with you, Beckie.

I hope you and your Mum are ok, Tamo.

How are you, Dawn?

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 11:42 AM

61 isn't old at all!

Hey lindsay!
How are you?

one_step_closer 18-09-2023 11:45 AM

I'm ok. Done my housework stuff for today. Got the dentist on Wednesday for 4 fillings! So dreading that. How are you doing?

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 12:01 PM

Good luck at the dentist osc.

I'm back from the blood tests. The nurse kept telling me how bad I am to get blood from but she got 3 bottles from one jab so I can't be that bad!

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 12:12 PM

Oof 4 fillings!

That's not bad!

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 12:14 PM

How are you getting on Cacoethes?

not_so_insig 18-09-2023 12:31 PM

I am a lot more positive than yesterday Lindsay. I havent got much on today other than attending to my cat and watching TV. Not that there's much on mind you. Might see what's on a streaming service. Also Neighbours returns today might watch that later.

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 12:35 PM

I imagine Neighbours is suitably trashy.

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 01:13 PM

I've had quite a positive morning thanks tamo!

long road 18-09-2023 03:16 PM

I have seen consultant again this morning but not my consultant. Unfortunately for one component there isn't an easy answer but they will try and get physio out to help some more. Otherwise I am waiting around for a porter to turn up and take me for tests. Waiting for a CT scan of my lungs and a echocardiogram and a few other bits. Once we have test results we come up with a plan.

not_so_insig 18-09-2023 03:31 PM

I watched Neighbours. Surprise twist at the end.

one_step_closer 18-09-2023 03:37 PM

Good to hear, Beckie. Hope your day is continuing as well as it can be.

Has that nurse taken blood from you before, Tamo?

Hope a helpful plan is made, Jen.

I love surprise twists. :)

not_so_insig 18-09-2023 03:46 PM

I also watched a documentary on Netflix. Am watching classic Coronation Street rn.

tamobhuuta 18-09-2023 03:46 PM

I hope the tests are useful lr.

I do love a good twist insig.

Glad you've had a good morning Cacoethes.

Osc, it was the usual nurse, and to be fair there have been a few times times where my veins were tricky, but last month and today were fine. Plus the nurses at the regular phlebotomy clinic have no problem at all.
How are you?

one_step_closer 18-09-2023 06:58 PM

I have one/two veins in the same kind of place that people usually manage to get. I hope I never have bad veins because I'd hate to be prodded with needles over and over again.

What's everyone doing this evening?

not_so_insig 18-09-2023 07:14 PM

I have just done my dishes and am contemplating what to do next. Not in the mood for tv not that's there is anything worth watching on. Have done all my laundry and put it away.

Cacoethes 18-09-2023 07:19 PM

My one vein is starting to struggle!
I'm being poked for bloods daily atm. And have a cannula in my one vein. Which means I'm being poked a lot!

tamobhuuta 19-09-2023 09:54 AM

Morning guys.

tamobhuuta 19-09-2023 09:55 AM

Am I first here? I hope everyone is OK! *goes to check the boards*

Cacoethes 19-09-2023 09:59 AM

I'm here! But i had a drip in so i couldn't really straighten my arm to type properly!

tamobhuuta 19-09-2023 10:10 AM

Fair enough! How are you?

one_step_closer 19-09-2023 10:13 AM

Having to keep your arm straight for drips is annoying, especially when the thing makes lots of noise when you bend!

How are you all today?

Cacoethes 19-09-2023 10:17 AM

I'm struggling with various things but that's not for here!

Got the lift up from the cafe when a load of junior docs piled in. They all look and sound about 15 years old XD
Bless them. Consultants on strike today.

Luckily my drip was a quick one so didn't need to be attatched to any beepy things. It could just run straight through. But it wouldn't run unless my arm was perfectly straight :eyeroll:
Had blood tests. Turns out that although my one vein with the cannula in is struggling, amother vein has appeared on the other arm! Before this admission, there has been absolutely NO veins in that arm EVER!

How are you both?

one_step_closer 19-09-2023 10:22 AM

*hugs if ok*

Junior doctors are cute wee babies!

Your veins are being very helpful!

I'm trying to be ok. Going to the gym later on.

tamobhuuta 19-09-2023 10:46 AM

I hope you enjoy the gym osc.

My sister's ketamine consultant isn't striking (apparently)

Cacoethes 19-09-2023 11:05 AM

Thank you

They are very cute.
I wonder if they need a permission slip from their parents to do procedures XD

Hope the gym goes ok

I guess not 100% of consultants will be striking, because they will be needed in some cases.

Zurg 19-09-2023 11:15 AM

Hi all :)

Beckie, next time you should try to trip one of the junior doctors and then when he/she falls over you can exclaim ?woah!!! The junior doctors are really flying low this year!!?
*evil laughter in the background*
Disclaimer: no, i am in fact not very evil. I just have a wacky sense of humour and the rest is society's fault!!!!

Cacoethes 19-09-2023 11:24 AM

Hahahaha excellent XD

How are you zurg?

not_so_insig 19-09-2023 12:38 PM

Hello all.

tamobhuuta 19-09-2023 12:41 PM
