One of my cat's anal gland burst. It looks like a bomb has hit is bum area. I didn't know what it was and I was worried because it looked serious. It's not serious. The vet cleaned it and gave him pain relief and antibiotics. It cost my £95 because it's the weekend emergency vet and there will be more on top because of the pain relief etc and the vet seeing him again on Thursday. Sooooo expensive. I hope mister cat is ok and heals quickly.

That happened to my cat too, Lindsay!

I had no idea what it was either and thought he'd been shot in the bum! He healed up really quickly though. Vets are expensive, it sucks. I also hope he gets better soon. Has he got the cone of shame?

He doesn't have the cone of shame. Other cat keeps growling at him and won't cuddle in with him, probably because he smells like the vet.

It's just a frozen asda "takeaway" one but does have stuffed crust. Yum.

And also saffron risotto which is a Milanese speciality I learnt on the tour today!
Apparently the origin is kind of a piss take.
A guy was working for his master painting one of the cathedrals, he added saffron to every colour to make it more vibrant. The master joked that he'd add saffron to his soup if he could! So at the master's wedding, he jokingly added some saffron to the risotto and that's that story!

That's cool you've had a Milanese speciality. Interesting story too! Funny what little historical things become tradition.

I won't check out until the last minute because my feet need a serious break from shoes!

And then find a bus to the airport and watch Netflix at the airport until my flight.
I want to get there really early because the traffic in Milan is INSANE and unpredictable. And I'm not sure of bus times. And it's like over an hour on the bus to the airport.

Eek, use the time to rest and definitely don't leave it last minute to leave.

I never leave it last minute!
I always end up places waaay too early! Which is better than being late I suppose.
And I have my ipad to entertain me!

I'm late or only just in time for most things unless it's very very important.

Edit: also, I bought alcohol the other night at dinner. Glass of wine and a cocktail (because I'm sophisticated like that :p) and I didn't get IDd. Woe.

No I didn't because I was eating. Perhaps that's why!
We shall see because I asked my mum if she wanted anything from duty free and she said some sort of alcohol (tanquerey seville orange gin or something like that) and I'll be wearing a mask then so that's the real test!

There are a few things I could delay until later this week I suppose. Its not like the bathroom and kitchen are going anywhere or are spectacularly dirty to need cleaning today. I just do it weekly. Suppose I could call my gran and dad another day too.

But I do need to do as much coursework as possible. And got to boots and get cat food and parcel up and send off some shoes that don't fit. And then I need to shower and put away/ do more washing up and laundry and other house jobs. I did do the bulk of the cleaning yesterday though.

Was meant to be going to the burns unit but cancelled. Way too fatigued.

That's still quite a few things to do.
Especially if you're not feeling great.
I would come and help you out if I could!

Thats kind. Really wish someone could help out, The fibro is really the worst its been in over a year- the pain and fatigue is unbearable, never mind the stress of life right now.

Oh well, done some more coursework and laundry is on. About to go shower and clean the sink and loo and get dressed.

Plan to get the bus into town later. Takes the same amount of time as walking but am shattered and its wet.

I've been walking like a complete idiot because my feet are so sore!

Ask to use one of those electric buggy things that they drive around in airports. =(

I'm just dreading getting up the steps at my home station!

I also cried in passport control because I got trapped in one of the automatic passport things (i ****ing hate them) and they refused to believe me that it was stuck on 'remove passport' and told me that it would open any second. It didn't and they had to rescue me and just directed me to the human passport people because I was in floods of tears. Classy.

Oh dear. That does sound like a bit of a nightmare though! =/
