I have just finished Voluntary Madness By Norah Vincent and quite enjoyed itespecially as a psychology student and as someone who has experianced psychiatric wards personally.
Now about to start reading Juliet, Naked By Nick Hornby |
I finished reading Going Postal by Terry Pratchett today, and I loved it. Not the best Discworld book, or the funniest, but that's like saying €990 isn't as good as €1,000 - technically true, but totally inconsequential. It was good to see Vetinari getting a bigger role, he's my favourite character in the series.
Now I'm reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, it's the first time I've read any of his work. It is FANTASTIC.He actually has a fairly similar sense of humour to Terry Pratchett, surprisingly enough. |
The Negative Scream: Story of Young People Who Took an Overdose - Sally O'Brien.

While My Sister Sleeps - Barbara Delinsky.

im just about to start shiver by maggie steifvater. just finished fallen by lauren kate.
|
I started At Swim-Two-Birds by Flann O'Brien this morning after not reading anything for a while because of exams and that, and I think I should have chosen something a little less "oh, how clever. Yes, that does hark back to Joyce".
|
Last night I finished Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. It was very, very good, and I loved it, but it put a huge strain on my willing suspension of disbelief - the sheer volume of unlikely coincidences in that book is staggering, especially in the third act. That's the only problem I have with it though; it's a fantastic book.
Currently reading (and enjoying) Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf. |
