Ninja tamo! I hope you'll get some home time at Christmas. If not, will your family be able to visit?

tamobhuuta 17-12-2023 06:36 PM

I'm sure some combination of people will visit me if I can't get home. I've had a better day today so maybe...

Cacoethes 17-12-2023 06:48 PM

We are going to get extremely drunk and probably have some intense mario kart gaming.
We were going to do D&D, but because there's only 3 of us, it wouldn't really work.
Actually looking forward to it more than the usual Christmas. No pressure, just fun.

What are your Christmas plans jenna?

I do hope you're allowed home tamo
They try to make Christmas fun in hospital but it's never the same.

maii 17-12-2023 07:16 PM

I'm sorry you're struggling long road and sorry to hear the asthma is acting up on you.

one_step_close, thank you for asking - I'm just numb but could be worse.

tamobhuuta 17-12-2023 07:30 PM

Sorry you're feeling numb maii. Hope you feel good things soon.

I would love to get drunk at Christmas!

Cacoethes 17-12-2023 07:52 PM

Probably unlikely even if you get leave! Hospital tends to frown upon these things

Pi.R^2 17-12-2023 08:38 PM

oh that sounds fab Beckie! Enjoy :) We're going to my parents' and my sister and her boyfriend are as well. There's never been all six of us on Christmas Day so that will be nice.

Tamo, remember that time we all decided to drink/get drunk in the middle of the day even though we weren't together? You said something funny about having to apologise to the priest for turning up to mass drunk and I remember laughing so hard.

Cacoethes 17-12-2023 08:57 PM

Thank you!
That sounds lovely jenna!

tamobhuuta 17-12-2023 10:36 PM

Lol I don't remember that Pi!

maii 17-12-2023 10:45 PM

Thanks you, tamobhuuta, I'll manage and I can't drink at all anymore, and for me that is a good thing.

maii 17-12-2023 10:47 PM

Sounds nice, Pi.R^2.

nonperson 17-12-2023 10:49 PM

Just popping in, haven't followed much today or recently but just want to say I love you guys!

maii 17-12-2023 10:49 PM

Wishing you well and you've been very quiet @Ecwmama87, don't be afraid to jump in when you feel up to it.

maii 17-12-2023 10:50 PM

What a nice way to say hello, nonperson. Some days I have to go back pages on this thread to keep up Lol.

Pi.R^2 17-12-2023 11:31 PM

yay!! Love from np, just what I needed to get me through a few more days at work :)

How are you doing?
Also hi maii, how are you?

maii 17-12-2023 11:39 PM

^Hi, ya know I guess I'm going through the motions and hoping for the best is about all I can say. Good luck at work.

long road 18-12-2023 08:56 AM

Zurg 18-12-2023 08:56 AM

What will happen today??? Hopefully something nice :)

Zurg 18-12-2023 08:57 AM

You beat me to it, Jen. I am sending healing airway vibes <3

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 09:16 AM

For a moment, while scrolling backwards through this thread, I was very confused by this comment! Literally like "wtf, I haven't posted anything... O.o" So I don't really remember posting that at all (was very drunk...) but I still mean it! =)

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 12:48 PM

Fingers crossed jen!

How are you beth?

I think i must have missed that np!
How are you?

one_step_closer 18-12-2023 01:14 PM

Afternoon everyone.

Oh no, Jen! Hope you get home soon.

Hopefully something nice will happen, Kat!

How are you Beth, NP, and Beckie?

Love you too NP!

Ahimsa 18-12-2023 01:20 PM

I'm exhausted- the 6am wake up was not welcome for work this morning, wahhh!

How're you?

one_step_closer 18-12-2023 01:23 PM

Oh dear. Did you get much sleep last night? I hope work isn't too taxing.

I'm trying to be ok. Have been shopping, did a washing, dusted, hoovered, and wrote Christmas cards. I'm planning on putting my neighbours cards through their doors in the evening so I hopefully don't get caught and have to chat!

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 01:27 PM

I'm ok. Tired!

Waking up early is never fun beth!

Be a ninja lindsay! Nice of you to get cards for your neighbours!

tamobhuuta 18-12-2023 01:30 PM

Hi everyone. I managed to get up for breakfast this morning. I made myself because my dad wasn't visiting with usual coffee.

not_so_insig 18-12-2023 01:31 PM

Afternoon all. Remember that today's the last posting day for second class post if you want it to arrive in time for Christmas.

Ooh good plan!

I've come home for some lunch so may go do that while my food cooks :) I've already done the washing up.

My thinking is if I get 10 tasks done over my lunch break, that's 10 I don't need to do tonight.

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 01:35 PM

Good thinking beth!

Ahimsa 18-12-2023 01:41 PM

Thank you!

The list is for today is:
Contact the ADHD team
Neighbour cards
sort washing
vacuum a room
go to Asda
Clean out the fridge and see what's mouldy
Clean the cupboards - again, see what's gone out of date
Washing up
Clean the counters
Throw out recycling
Sort a banking thing
Take all the cups from my room to the kitchen
make food for lunch tomorrow
Order frames

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 01:55 PM

Do you have an order in which to do the things?

Ahimsa 18-12-2023 01:59 PM

I don't, I get too distracted and also if I can't do the thing I want to do next, I just won't do anything - annoying!!

5 things done on my lunch break isn't too bad :)
I tried to contact the ADHD team but after an hour of waiting, im still number 7 in the queue and they are closed by the time I finish work so that'll have to go to tomorrows lunch break task list.

Asda was always going to be tonight, because its 30 minutes drive away - and to get there and back and shop within an hour isn't going to happen because of maths and time.

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 02:11 PM

Yeah i get that
I have to do things as and when

Ugh that's annoying about the adhd team!

You're doing well!

tamobhuuta 18-12-2023 02:29 PM

Well done for jobs Ahimsa

Elmer 18-12-2023 02:33 PM

*disappears for a month*
*is startled when there's a month's worth of posts to catch up on*

Hello!
I hope that everyone's days are going as well as possible - that's an impressive number of things ticked off your to do list, Beth.

Ahimsa 18-12-2023 02:35 PM

Hey Elmer!!

How are you doing? Xx

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 02:37 PM

Hello Lio!
Immediately thought of the shocked pikachu meme XD
How are you?

tamobhuuta 18-12-2023 02:52 PM

Hi Elmer!

maii 18-12-2023 02:54 PM

I hope you start to feel better from that asthma attack - they are awful and I hope you get to go home today, long road

Desperately need those healing airway vibes, Zurg

No worries, nonperson, ok, so you don't remember but it was genuine regardless and when I read it yesterday it made my day.

Morning all, at least its morning for me over here. I'm sort of ok, sleep was a bit rough and that resulted in brain fog today. Might go out today. I realize over there (I think) you folks are getting ready for bed. Lol.

Ahimsa 18-12-2023 02:56 PM

Hi Maii,

Not quite, it's the middle of the work day (2pm) here. What time is it for you?

maii 18-12-2023 03:05 PM

HI Ahimsa,

Oh, ha, I assume everyone is in the UK. Its 9AM here. How is your day going?

Elmer 18-12-2023 03:14 PM

Hii guys :) I am alright, just trundling along :)
Beckie that is a very apt meme for the situation!

Hi maii, I don't think we've spoken before

Would anyone like to read my textbook for me and then neatly summarise the main points so that I don't have to?

Haha that's what I mean, it's 2:15pm in the UK 🙂

Cacoethes 18-12-2023 03:22 PM

Glad you're ok lio!

I would, but i don't think it would help your situation at all XD

maii 18-12-2023 03:39 PM

HI, Elmer, yeah I don't think we have spoken so nice to meet you ;)

Oh I didn't know that, Ahimsa. TY and I have a hard time with timezones and I realize my timing here doesn't match up many times with others.

Ahimsa 18-12-2023 04:11 PM

I tried to do the ADHD team webchat while I'm working and they've kicked me off it 3 times.
I'm now back to number 33 in the queue
