I can't have peanut butter but he isnt allergic to almonds so I have almond butter as a substitute. Before COVID I just kept a jar of peanut butter at the office and got my peanut butter fix there! I'd have a late breakfast if peanut butter toast at work.
I was sad about no peanut butter but he is worth it! |
Smooth. I will eat crunchy but i find the bits get stuck in my teeth!
What's almond butter like? |
Like peanut butter but slightly less tasty / milder
|
Interesting!
I'd like to try it but wouldn't want to invest in a whole thing in case i didn't like it |

Hope you manage to get at least some rest
I've only just had meds because the systems have been down since 8pm! They're still down. The nurses had to go and get paper charts from the main hospital, which took 3 hours to arrange for some reason...(nurses were complaining about it) So bedtime now! |
Goodness everyone is up late.
Is there anything you can do to relax your brain Beth? That is incredibly annoying Beckie. I just had the paramedics out for asthma attack but managed to get left at home. Hoping I can get some sleep and not have to call them again. |
This is pretty standard for me timewise, im hoping I get some rest soon. I even went to a restorative yoga class!!
Yay for being able to stay at home, that's something. I'm sorry your asthma is being silly. |
Ooh yoga, I haven't done a class in a long time but have some gentle pose my neuro physio gets me to try.
It sucks it's playing up like this, I have a virus so I think that's what triggered it so hopefully once I get over the virus it will settle back down. But staying home in my own bed is great. Just hoping it stays settled and I don't have to call them back. |
Morning!
Grand total of about 3 hours sleep last night and 2 999 calls. Stayed home but only just. Today could be a long day |
Morning!
Sorry to hear that jen At least it was 3 hours sleep at home and not no sleep at hospital! *tries to find bright side* |
Morning!
How are you? 3 hours in my own bed is infinitely better than hospital, Although it only wasn't hospital because I said I would rather not because hospital is a FND trigger and they didn't argue too hard. Had to sign my first ever refusal form though. Fun milestone... I am on steroids now though boo! And I am worried I might be too ill for my brother to visit :( In waiting mode now waiting for nice nurse practioner to call me back. Will see what she says and phone him when I have an idea. He flew into UK at 8am but his train down here isn't until 4:30pkish (he was originally getting the night train and then the euro star so getting to London laterbut it got cancelled). Worst comes to worse he can stay longer with our parents. |
Nurse Practioner says I have to go to hospital. She is going to try and get me into AMU/SDEC rather than sending me to A&E. This day sucks.
|
Ah that does suck :(
Hope it's as ok as it can be |
How is the chaos of a ward without computerised notes? Or did they suprise me and fix it by now XD
|
Sorry you have to go into hospital lr. Hugs if wanted.
How frustrating Cacoethes! Did they fix the notes yet? |
The Internet is down now XD
Not our Internet though, for some reason. But i guess they have a different, secure one. What a shambles I was gonna go to tesco, but I've been asked to hang around in case the consultant wants to see me, but they're in a meeting atm. Hey tamo How are you? |
I'm ok. Got a funny tummy again. Seems to be every morning. Dad will be here soon.
I'm glad your Internet is working at least. |
Strange! Does it ease off during the day?
Is he bringing costa? Yeah, wouldn't be happy if not! I am still taking advantage of the ward's tv licence XD |
Hi Jen, Beckie and Tamo. Seems like it's bad universal karma day all around :(
I hope the hospital stay will be short and as pleasant as possible, Jen <3 Hope the consultant will be ready soon and they waiting won't be in vain, Beckie!!! Hope you'll have a visit soon, Tamo. With some coffee and a nom. I have given up trying to make sense of my stomach issues. The only real pattern i detect is total chaos…. |
At hospital now. Partner has just Gone questing for a wheelchair as we had to park super far away because disabled parking at the front was full. If I am lucky I might avoid an over night admission
P.s. Hi everyone and sorry for ignoring. Thanks For hugs Tamo. |
Hey zurg!
How are you today? The waiting probably will be in vain, knowing these places! Wheelchairs are like gold dust in hospital, which is weird! |
Wheelchairs, pillows and pens. Never enough of any of them in hospital!
|
All things that are very high on the 'always needed' list!!
I actually have 2 pillows here, which i was surprised about! |
Hi all,
Sorry to hear you're in hospital LR :( Busy day for me, I've already - had my fringe trimmed - fed my friends cats - done the washing up - put a load of washing away I still need to - get my nails done - go to town for a few bits - have a shower - wash my hair - tidy the kitchen - pick my friend up to go to the outlet at 5. - feed my friends cats this evening. |
Pleasantly surprised I bet!
There was an impressive amount of wheelchairs available, nurse said that they seemed to have appeared magically from wherever they were hiding XD Sat in SDEC. May the waiting begin! A load better than A&E where the second crew wanted me to go last night much more chill. Morning Beth! |
Oh yay for wheelchairs!!!
|
Meant I got a pretty decent wheelchair. Plan is a few more nebs and observation and hopefully get me home this afternoon if things move in the right direction.
|
Morning everyone. I forgot to set a ding and slept in till 9.05am.
Hope you get on ok at the hospital, Jen, and that your partner is good company. I hope you feel better soon, Tamo. Enjoy the free TV while you can, Beckie! How are you doing, Kat? Beth you constantly have busy days. You are a human superhero! |
I'm always busy because there's only me, and I work 45 hour weeks (and 6 days every 4th week), and go to bed within an hour of getting home - so when I'm not at work, everything needs doing.
I've not done the washing up in a week, I can't see my bedroom floor for mess, and I've not done any washing for a fortnight, and my nails are currently grown out from September - hence having everything to do when I'm off work! |
That sounds really annoying. Are you going to get nice nails at least?
|
Afternoon all. I am going wild swimming this afternoon. It's going to be cold.
|
Embrace your inner viking, Dawn :D I have faith in you!!!
I'm okay-ish. Having a bit of a quiet day. Only doing laundry. Both me and the tiny zoo needs this. But i have a sort of anxious restlessnes looming above me. Trying to just accept its presence as it tends to go wrong if i either act on it or try to ignore it completely… :/ |
How are you getting on with your tasks list Beth?
How are you Lindsay? Try not to turned into an iceberg Dawn! Restlessness sucks Zurg, I hope you can still manage to chill the accepting but not engaging thing is a very hard one to master. I am having a nebuliser in a side room at SDEC. They made me do a lap of the ward to see how my Sats and heart rate went. Heart rate shot up but O2 was ok. But then after got wheezier. When this one is finished it's waiting half an hour and then potentially have another one |
Hi everyone at work so can't post or comment often but looking for people who I can talk about anything with who don't mind my complaints and rants and braging about my cat lol I work alot and am a single mom so no real time for a life and am lonley and have mental heath issues so having someone to talk to would be nice hope to hear back from someone and will reply when I can hope everyone has a great day
|
Am back. I managed a whole 8 minutes in the freezing water before the person I was with got too cold. It was good though. Am wanting a shower but am expecting evri so have to content with a coffee.
|
As soon as I posted that the evri man arrived. Now waiting for my coffee to cool then as soon as I have finished it then I am going in the shower.
|
Hi all,
You can certainly chat to us! I've noticed you're in the USA - we're mainly in the UK but please chat to us and we'll reply when we are online :) I fell asleep so my list isn't going very well! Done: - had my fringe trimmed - fed my friends cats - done the washing up - put a load of washing away - washed my hair - tidied the kitchen I still need to - get my nails done - go to town for a few bits - have a shower - pick my friend up to go to the outlet at 5. - feed my friends cats this evening. Town I think will have to wait until tomorrow, cos its 3pm now, its half an hour there and half an hour back, then find somewhere to park. Nails are 5 minutes away so I'm going to go get them done :) |
Hey Ecwmama87 welcome to the thread! It can be a bit fast paced at times but all are welcome to chat. Just wanted to mention that as this is general chat we try to avoid more serious posts and save them from an appropriate support forum saying you are struggling but in a more general way is fine though :)
Sleep is important to Beth. You are running on fumes at the minute! Let us know what fun design you get on your nails! 8 minutes is 8 minutes more than I could have managed Dawn well done! Do you think you could have lasted much longer if the person you were with didn't get too cold? Hope your coffee and shower get you nice and toasty. I have had a second nebuliser. Unfortunately it didnt improve my peak flow that much so we shall see when /if I escape. |
Hey guys!
Sorry i disappeared. L surprised me with a visit! So we went out and got coffee and tesco. |
Maybe 5 minutes more Jen but certainly not much longer. I have now had my shower and feeling slightly warmer. I have my heating on and contemplating a second coffee. I have to venture outside again at some point as it's bin night. Only recycling tonight so won't be too long.
|
I absolutely couldn't do that Insig, well done!
I got a glittery berry colour on 4 nails, and glittery gold on one :) If I have a bath after I've been to the outlet with my friend, and then of course feed my other friends cats before they get home from holiday at 10pm, that means town is the only thing I haven't done! |
Thanks Beth. Your nails sound nice hope you are pleased with them.
I have been outside to do the recycling just got a few more things to put out but they need washing. So will do them later. |
Nails sound lush beth!
And well done on all your things |
Hope you're nice and warm now, Dawn. I have already put my bin out. :)
I hope your day is going well, Kat. How are you getting on now, Jen? Hi Ecwmama87, welcome to the thread. I like cats. :) Your nails sound lovely, Beth. Well done with all you've managed. Aww that's nice, Beckie. |
Hey lindsay!
What have you been up to today? |
Nothing exciting. Went to the chemist as usual, washed my hair, and sorted out the bins and bird feeders.
|
Well done for doing the things!
What's the weather been like there? It's been rainy and windy here! |
Too tired to reply to everyone. But wanted to let you know I have achieved freedom from the hospital after 3 back to back nebulisers. Got a latte from the coffee shop on the way out and now am off home in time for a nap before my brother's train arrives 19:03
|
Well done for doing all that Lindsay.
Glad you're out of hospital Jen. Hope you can rest at home. |
