Would hot chocolate help you relax?
|
I also vote hot chocolate! I had one earlier to warm up when I got in from work. =)
I'm on series 2 at the moment. Started right from the beginning again. I have watched the Flux and don't think I hated it but I generally find the later series too complicated and confusing. At least Findus isn't the worst, Zurg! XD |
I decided to have hot chocolate! Hopefully it will help me relax Tamo.
And then will try and rest and maybe nap a bit before it's time for meds. |
Ninja NP David Tennant is my favourite doctor and I think his season with Donna Noble is my favourite. Although I am very fond of season 2.
|
Series 2 is heartbreaking. ='(
I also really really liked Donna! =D |
It is heartbreaking but such good TV!
I like the extra comedy in Donna's series, proper good banter. The hot chocolate is sooo good and making me sleepy so will say good night for now. Take care of yourselves best you can friends xx And Beckie I hope your shift has gone well and I will see you bright and early tomorrow! |
Yeah she definitely added some good comedy, but could also do some serious stuff too. I think she was the assistant that went on the biggest "journey" so that made it extra sad at the end.
Goodnight and sleep well, Jen! |
I think Donna is my favourite assistant.
|
It's a very close call between Rose and Donna for me.
|
My lungs are not cooperating with plan get an early night.
Sat bolt upright and taking my inhaler, but have a definite wheeze going on. So frustrating! I think I prefer Donna but that might be because the writing got better. |
Whaddup
|
Morning!
I finally got to sleep properly around midnight and just woke up now so 5/ 5 and a half hours sleep. Although had a non epileptic seizure at some point in night that I woke up into and then fell back asleep. How was work yesterday Beckie? |
Morning!
That does not sound good! I also had a disturbed nights sleep Work was fine Thanks Seemed busy, but it wasn't, if that makes sense! I think because it rained and everyone came inside. I got to leave at 10pm because i felt ill |
Not my best night's sleep. Sorry to hear you didn't sleep great either.
That makes sense all the punters packed into one place rather than spread out. Sad times that you felt ill but good they let you leave early. How are you feeling this morning? I am trying to persuade myself contacting GP this morning about my asthma is the right thing to do. It probably is but I am second guessing myself. |
I still feel ****.
Tried GP, but it's nearly 8:30 and there are still more than 20 people ahead of me in the queue, so it's just not gonna happen. Do it! |
Stay in the queue and maybe they can offer you something? It seems like your surgery needs to start triaging who gets on the day appointments rather than making you run the 8am gauntlet. Mine rings people back fro a 5 minute triage for urgent issues and then brings you in if you need to be seen. Otherwise it's 3 or 4 weeks for a routine appointment.
I am going to call when the phoneline opens shortly. I don't want to deal with doctors etc. today but I think I would regret not touching base before the weekend. |
They can't offer me an appointment that doesn't exist
Yes they should. But they don't. Idk if they could, there are only 2 surgeries that cover a large and rapidly growing area, plus hundreds of people switched from the other surgery since the GPs there resigned their contract. They literally have days where there are NO doctors. |
Damn the system is breaking. Sorry you have lost the postcode lottery there. Wish there was more I could do.
I am waiting for a triage phone call from the nurse now. |
They used to be amazing before all the new houses were built and the other surgery messed up. And tbh, this is only the second time this has happened. I've always got an appointment before.
That's good |
I got an appointment for 10:30
I am actually speechless wtf |
Yay for appointment! Baffling considering how long you had to wait but great news you will be seen!
|
Honestly I'm really thrown by it!
And it's in my town, not in the other towns There are NEVER appointments here! |
Well don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Hope they can help out. |
I've never understood that saying!
Thanks The drs is in town, so close to everything. I can do all my town stuff afterwards. Then all i have to do today is clean out the boys Have you got much on today? |
It because you could tell a horse's age from their teeth. But the horse was still a gift so you should just be like yay horse! At least I think so from a quick Google.
How convenient! Other than waiting around for nurse phone call all I have is a gardener coming at 4pmish to mow our lawns an trim the hedge. Partner and his family don't have spare time / energy right now and it has become a jungle so we decided to pay someone to do it. |
Ohhh. Some sayings are so weird!
Well, that's why these services exist! Be nice.to get that done i imagine I think it's raining :'( |
Hi all :)
Sorry to hear about your health woes, Beckie and Jen :( I hope someone with proper qualifications can fix this. Or at least make you a comfort mojito or smth!!! I am losing the plot. Kept going for 4 days, feeling like i'm managing to human but today i am doing laundry and having a visit later from my friend and her tiny human and i have screamed at the laundry basket, screamed and thrown the laundry around and i managed to scare my wee bun bun :( I have decided not to hoover before they arrive. I don't trust myself around cleaning devices today…. |
I don't like mojitos. But a comfort sex on the beach, or pink gin spritz, I'll go for that!
Sorry to hear that zurg! Can you have a little rant to your friend about it? Sometimes it helps to share things |
I walked into a bar once and announced i’d like a sex on the beach to which the bartender looked at me with horror and Said “you pervert!!” XD
I am actually not in need of ranting. More in need of several days in a row with very little to do. But i do Think my friend and her tiny human Will cheer me up :) |
Hahahaha XD
We get jokes about it a lot, we only recently started doing them I'm glad that they will cheer you up! Do you have any days where you can not do much? |
I gave up drinking alcohol when I gained a neurological condition that made me act drunk while sober! A comfort pasty or cake though I could get behind.
Hope seeing your friend and her tiny human is enjoyable Zurg and just what you need. Is Findus hiding in case he gets kiss chased again? Or is this a different tiny human? I have an appointment with Nurse at 11:40am, she said the dreaded words come in and see me and we will check obs etc. but I am not sure what more we can do. You really need to see respiratory. (I have been waiting 12 and half weeks for respiratory appointment). She said we might have to increase dose of the dreade steroids... |
Pasty or cake is a good substitute!
Oh no jen! I really hope they can do something else rather than steroids! |
I mean the default for asthma when you aren't sure what to do is steroids... At least when it's flaring and you are waiting to see a specialist to see if other meds would help/ work out what is causing flares.
Have you had your appointment yet or are you waiting about? |
That really sucks!
Respiratory need to hurry tf up! Still waiting. When i booked in, the screen said there were 2 people before me and I'll be seen in approx 15 mins. I booked in at 10:25. It really does depend on how long people spend in there though! |
There's not much I can do but wait unfortunately. Strikes are slowing down appointments, because they keep having days of outpatient appointments getting cancelled. Plus extra delays from Covid backlog. Plus people suffering with long Covid related breathing stuff. The average wait for respiratory appointment at my local hospital at the moment is 19 weeks according to the NHS my planned care website. Might be able to get someone to mark my referral as urgent if I end up at hospital again. But ideally don't want to do A&E or SDEC!
Hope you get seen speedily. But I know that's not really how GP appointments work some.times people need extra time. And it's good that there are GP's who will give that time. |
Ah yeah. All got a bit messed up.
I am still waiting |
At least it's only a month and a half until I should get seen based on average waits. That's not too long having already waited 3 months. I have said it before NHS is great when you get in front of the right people, it's the getting to that point that's the problem.
Oh dear. Oh well worth the wait if it means you get seen. I am about to head out for my appointment in next 10 minutes or so. |
Yeah i guess so!
Hope your appointment was ok! I have cyclizine and lansoprazole now. Pharmacy did them for me immediately when they gave me my repeat. Like it was so quick, i didn't even realise they'd put them in there XD bless them. Done all my town things. |
Seen nurse and good news don't have to go to hospital right now. Bad news not anything new we can do just have to wait and see. And hopefully not end up in A&E ot calling an ambulance but don't hesitate to call if we are worried.
She said I don't have to go up on steroids yet which is a godsend. And the best thing of the appointment is she is going to get GP admin team to chase respiratory secretaries at the hospital. See if they can't get me seen sooner or at least get me an appointment booked in rather than nebulous waiting for appointment that might be in October. Just picking up a Cornish pasty in town before heading home. How goes everyone else's days? |
Ninja Beckie. Glad you have some meds sorted I hope they help!
|
That must be frustrating
I'm glad you don't have to go to hospital though! Or have to increase steroids. I'm glad you're treating yourself to a pasty! Thank you! |
Have read everything. <3
Welcome to September! Hope it's a good month for you all. I don't know about you but August was a long month for me. |
Hey homies.
This is just a flying visit to say hello =) |
Hi, NP. How is your day going?
|
Super frustrating to just have to wait and see. It's hard to relax when you have to monitor your breathing and make judgement calls on when you seek extra help all the time. If nurse can expedite respiratory appointment though then going in today will definitely have been worth it.
Pasty was tasty. One of the benefits of living in the south west is easy access to good quality pasties! *waves at NP and Lindsay* Yeah August has not been a great month what with all my physical health woes. It's 3 and a half weeks since my asthma started flaring. Hopeful September is better for us all. I am now off to try and nap. Been awake nearly 8 hours so pretty shattered. |
Hey lindsay and np!
Hope you're having good days! It does sound exhausting jen! I can't even remember a lot of what i did in August. Apart from my holiday! So it can't have been that bad. Or overly good!. Hope you can nap |
Add not really sleeping properly and I am exhausted for sure.
I managed.about a n hour of.napping. still really tied though. *Waves to everyone* |
Hi everyone. I'm exhausted! Slept badly, been for a blood test and to the opticians. Got to have birthday cake with my sister but then I might nap.
Sending relax-vibes to all. |
Yeah not sleeping doesn't help!
Hey tamo Hope you enjoy the birthday cake! I have cleaned out the boys and put my washing away. Now I'm tired! |
I am having tea and digestive biscuits as an afternoon snack. And to try and help me wake up a bit.
Gardener is cracking on with my front lawn and has nearly mowed it already. He has a fancy petrol mower that is making short work of the long grass. Enjoy the birthday cake Tamo and hope you get a nice refreshing nap after. If only you could nap Beckie! Maybe sit and have a coffee and watch some TV? |
