Cacoethes 26-11-2021 03:24 PM

It's very cold

tamobhuuta 26-11-2021 03:57 PM

Mass was too busy, I didn't stay.

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 03:59 PM

That's a shame tamo

It's pouring down now!

one_step_closer 26-11-2021 05:58 PM

Here there is a high wind warning from this afternoon and part of tomorrow. I can hear it already. It's freezing already. I don't need wind blowing cold air at me!

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 06:03 PM

Oh nooo!
Definitely don't need any sort of wind in this weather!

one_step_closer 26-11-2021 06:07 PM

I'm going to have to stop being self conscious and wear a hat and scarf when I'm out. We're just going to have to get used to the cold weather.

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 06:09 PM

Unfortunately we do!
I don't like wearing coats but it's getting to the point where my hoodie doesn't quite cut it!

shadow-light 26-11-2021 06:14 PM

Been to Asda, it wasn't too bad. If anything oddly quieter than normal

I'm odd as I don't really feel the cold as long as I'm physically doing stuff. Which I useful as I have sensory issues with coats and hats
Though the flipside is that I CANNOT STAND summer as its too hot

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 06:25 PM

I'm glad it wasn't too bad!

I can't stand summer either.
As long as it's cool enough for a hoodie and warm enough to go without a coat, I'm happy!

nonperson 26-11-2021 06:42 PM

Stay safe and out of the storm, Lindsay!

The wind was absolutely bitterly cold today.

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 06:44 PM

Np! How are you?

It wasn't too windy here

nonperson 26-11-2021 06:51 PM

Beckie! I am pooped, got a lot done at work today. Very glad the week is over.

It wasn't too windy for most of the day but was picking up this afternoon.

How're you?

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 07:04 PM

Time for a very well deserved rest I think!
I hope you don't have too much to do this weekend

I'm ok
Had a couple of very lazy days!

nonperson 26-11-2021 07:30 PM

Definitely need rest. Nothing much going on except the usual chores and Sunday lunch with my friend which should be nice

Lazy days are very important to have!

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 07:34 PM

Sunday lunch sounds nice!

They are indeed!
I'm just still enjoying being home tbh!
I was only in hospital for 5 days but it felt like a lot longer!

nonperson 26-11-2021 07:52 PM

Days always feel longer when the time drags.

Keep enjoying those lazy at home days. =)

not_so_insig 26-11-2021 07:56 PM

It's very windy here. It was snowing before.

nonperson 26-11-2021 07:58 PM

We've got a snow warning for tomorrow morning. Doubt it will happen.

shadow-light 26-11-2021 08:13 PM

OK even I will admit the wind is getting silly now  opened a window and nearly had my arm pulled off

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 08:31 PM

That's true np!

I hope we don't get snow!
I have 2 buses to get!

Lol Hazel!

not_so_insig 26-11-2021 08:35 PM

Fortunately the wind isn't too bad that I cant watch telly.

nonperson 26-11-2021 08:46 PM

I doubt there will be any snow that will cause travel disruption! Maybe a flurry or something but it doesn't seem the right kind of weather for anything to settle.

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 08:53 PM

Tbh they say snow every year and it never really happens
Just a flurry here and there, like you said

nonperson 26-11-2021 09:06 PM

Well I dunno, sometimes it does settle!

Cacoethes 26-11-2021 09:11 PM

Last year it did. I was in hospital and we had enough to make snowmen and have snowball fights (AKA chucking snowballs at staff)

The year before it was just really icy!

Cacoethes 27-11-2021 10:18 AM

Morning everyone!

nonperson 27-11-2021 10:26 AM

Morning all. How's everyone?

I did briefly see the rain attempting to turn into snow earlier. Now it's sunny o.O

Cacoethes 27-11-2021 10:35 AM

Morning np

I'm ok. Off to see Jasmine soon :-D

I think it must have rained here too because the ground is wet. It's still cloudy but it's trying to be sunny!

How are you?

Elmer 27-11-2021 10:36 AM

*dives back in*
Hi! This WEATHER.
I’m visiting a friend in the Midlands and we had snow. Not sure if I’m going to make it back to the South East tomorrow…
*dies in British*

Elmer 27-11-2021 10:37 AM

Have a lovely time with Jasmine, Beckie :) take it easy!

Cacoethes 27-11-2021 10:51 AM

Lio!
Always nice to see you in here!

I wish you luck on your journey tomorrow!
Are you going by train?

Thanks :)

nonperson 27-11-2021 10:57 AM

I just saw something on the news about people being stuck on a train for like 14 hours because of the weather. I think they were much further north/Scotland though.

That's not a very encouraging thing to say is it... =x

I think the snow threat has passed and the wind is meant to peak this afternoon so I think you'll be fine travelling back this way tomorrow, Lio.

Cacoethes 27-11-2021 11:18 AM

Omg! Awful!

It's trying to rain now

Cacoethes 27-11-2021 11:19 AM

Ok it's really raining now!

nonperson 27-11-2021 11:28 AM

Are you out in it soon??

tamobhuuta 27-11-2021 11:28 AM

Hi everyone :) just a little drizzle here. I'm a bit disappointed, the TV promised me snow.

nonperson 27-11-2021 11:43 AM

Aw, there's still time for snow to happen some time this winter!

Any plans today, tamo?

Elmer 27-11-2021 11:47 AM

Thanks for the encouragement Beckie and NP :) I will battle through and it’s got to be better than the time my train hit a herd of cows. Good luck in the rain!

I’m very excited for proper snow, but sad I don’t live in the countryside where I can sledge any more.

Hi Tamo, hope you get your snowy wish soon.

tamobhuuta 27-11-2021 12:09 PM

I'm meeting friends for a drink this afternoon. I'm a bit nervous because I don't often do that.

nonperson 27-11-2021 12:11 PM

Cows o.O I'm not at all picturing the flying cow scene from the Wizard of Oz... >.>

Sometimes you've just got to go with the flow when there are disruptions.

Elmer 27-11-2021 12:11 PM

That’s brilliant! Are they supportive friends? Just do what you can, there’s no shame in needing to leave early if that’s what you need.

nonperson 27-11-2021 12:12 PM

Ninja, tamo.

Nervousness is understandable. Have you been to the place before? You'll be with friends though so take strength from their company if you can.

nonperson 27-11-2021 12:12 PM

Why do I type so slowly... everyone's ninja-ing me!

Yep. It was quite a time. Those poor cows.

Yeah, you do. My main worry is that I will get to London after the last train home and have to sleep in St Pancras :hehe:

tamobhuuta 27-11-2021 12:13 PM

Thanks, they're very supportive, we actually met here!

Elmer 27-11-2021 12:13 PM

Oh God, this is reminiscent of the old days of RYL.

Elmer 27-11-2021 12:14 PM

That’s great tamo :)

Do you remember our London meet!

Elmer 27-11-2021 12:40 PM

Yep! And when we first met in Birmingham :)

Cacoethes 27-11-2021 12:54 PM

I miss the meets!
