Sorry to hear that, Tamo. Hope you didn't have to watch much depressing news before Doctors.

Hope you enjoy(ed) your walk, Beth.

I was out earlier and can't be bothered going out again.

Well done with everything you've managed, Jen. Do you draw animals like they are in reality or like cartoons?

That's good, Beckie. :)

not_so_insig 15-01-2024 05:12 PM

I have had my tesco shopping order and put everything away. Waiting for amazon now.

long road 15-01-2024 05:37 PM

When I doodle I draw cartoon animals. But today I was drawing from reference photos and trying to make them as realistic as I could. Just pencil sketches as I couldn't be bothered trying to get colours right, so just went monochrome with pencil shading.

Was doing it as a positive distraction. Have run out of energy now. Might go back to bed for a lie down.

How is Crookshanks today?

not_so_insig 15-01-2024 06:09 PM

Amazon have been. I have another parcel coming tomorrow. Today's package was cillit bang tomorrow is a gift bag and a bottle of honey rum.

one_step_closer 15-01-2024 06:31 PM

Do you have Amazon Prime, Dawn?

Did drawing help? Maybe you could use it again.

Crookshanks is fine, hasn't given me peace all day! He usually lies on his bed upstairs after his lunch but he's been with me all day today.

long road 15-01-2024 07:05 PM

It did help. I like drawing, and I am quite good at it. Will definitely try it again sometime. It go on the list of optional activities to try when I use the new routine / day planning technique My OT suggested I try.

The first time I read your post my brain scrambled the words Dawn and I wondered why you would need a gift bag to give someone cillit bang XD

not_so_insig 15-01-2024 08:12 PM

Yes I have amazon prime Lindsay. Don't really watch the TV on it though got it for delivery.

Lol Jen. The gift bag is to put my cpn's present for mh nurses day. I only see her once every 4 weeks so i need plenty of time in case its not suitable. I got her a box of quality street just gotta find a suitable card now. Mh nurses day isn't until next month but i have to be prepared.

long road 15-01-2024 09:06 PM

You sure she wouldn prefer cillit bang to quality street? XD

But that's very good of you to get her a gift.

not_so_insig 15-01-2024 09:44 PM

She is a decent cpn so deserves a reward.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 02:02 AM

Morning everyone

long road 16-01-2024 02:43 AM

Oh no Beckie not up for the day already!

I am just going to bed, my asthma has been playing up but think it's finally settled enough I might be able to sleep.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 02:50 AM

I am indeed. Annoying!

Hope you manage to get a decent sleep!

long road 16-01-2024 02:57 AM

Fingers crossed. I am just hoping my asthma behaves.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 03:09 AM

Fingers crossed!

long road 16-01-2024 03:53 AM

Alas no luck on sleep front yet. Lungs are a little grumpy but mostly behaving.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 04:43 AM

Ugh! No sleep is never a good feeling
Hopefully you're asleep now!

long road 16-01-2024 09:25 AM

Morning I was in fact asleep got about 5 hours which while not the best is manageable

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 11:33 AM

Better than none i guess!

I've just been to asda. Bumped into my brother!
So we went to aldi because i needed aldi stuff and then went for a coffee. And he carried a couple of my bags home for me because they were heavy and awkward. Very nice of him!

long road 16-01-2024 11:35 AM

Awww how lovely to see your brother!

I am up and on the sofa but not really awake awake. I'd you know what I mean.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 11:38 AM

Yeah it was nice!
He only moved here last week, i knew I'd bump into him eventually!

Yeah i know the feeling

long road 16-01-2024 11:50 AM

Nice to have him close by.

Need to do breakfast and make coffee. Coffee should help with awakeness.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 11:54 AM

It is!

Hope the coffee helps!

long road 16-01-2024 12:13 PM

I have coffe and fruit toast!

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 12:17 PM

Excellent combination!

Where's everyone else today??
Is it just us?

one_step_closer 16-01-2024 12:23 PM

Morning everyone.

Oh dear Beckie with being up so early. :( Nice you saw your brother though.

Enjoy your coffee and fruit toast, Jen. Do you have interesting coffee like Beckie or just normal stuff?

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 12:26 PM

Morning lindsay!
How are you?

It feels like it shouldn't still be morning!
Getting up at 12:30am has messed up my timings! Even though i seem to be getting up between 1-3am these days. Annoying.

long road 16-01-2024 12:28 PM

Yay Lindsay!

Clearly everyone else slept at normal times Beckie XD

So I have fancy ground coffee but it's not flavoured like Beckie's. I generally alternate between two 100% arabica coffees one from Ethiopia and one from Columbia.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 12:36 PM

Apparently so XD

Sounds very fancy jen!

one_step_closer 16-01-2024 12:38 PM

How do you manage to occupy yourself all day, Beckie?

Sounds like very posh coffee, Jen!

I don't know how I am. I have been to the chemist and Aldi and washed my hair. My gym friends cancelled going to the gym because one person didn't want to drive in the snow but my weather app says the snow isn't due until 5pm.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 12:52 PM

I generally find something to do! Or several things.
But the days do seem to last a million hours!

That's a shame they cancelled.
What are you going to do instead?

long road 16-01-2024 01:08 PM

How early are you going to bed Beckie? Maybe if you are going to bed earlier that's why you wake up earlier?

I accidentally became a bit of a coffee snob after finding the good stuff... I just like what I like. And what I like happens to be quite expensive... Still it's like the price of 1.5 - 2 coffee shop coffees for 25 cups at home which isn't too bad.

Sad times no gym Lindsay could you go for a walk instead?

I am debating whether to contact GP surgery about my asthma. I am 95% sure the interaction will go as follows: get call back from nurse, she says come in and we will listen to your chest. I go in my chest is a bit tight but no infection, we decide to see how it goes with me taking more reliever medication for a few days. So I might as well not have gone sort of thing.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 01:31 PM

I go to bed fairly early, but i don't actually sleep until probably 10-11pm.
I just get so tired i can't sit up anymore, but still not tired enough to sleep apparently :eyeroll:

Definitely worth it for decent coffee!

Could be worth a call anyway jen
To be on the safe side, or at least have a record of it

long road 16-01-2024 01:35 PM

That sucks. Your body really needs to learn how to sleep!

I have said it before and I'll say it again. Coffee is life!

I have decided I will leave it until 2pm when afternoon duty starts and if I still feel off by then will call in.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 01:38 PM

It really does!
And yours needs to learn how to breathe!

Coffee is life indeed!

Good plan.

My driving lesson has been brought forward to 1pm
Which is good because it gives me more time to prepare for work this evening!

tamobhuuta 16-01-2024 01:41 PM

Good afternoon all.

one_step_closer 16-01-2024 01:50 PM

There's no good places to walk here.

Hope your driving lesson goes well, Beckie.

Hope your body starts being kinder to you, Jen.

Hi, Tamo. How are you?

not_so_insig 16-01-2024 02:36 PM

Afternoon all. My plans for today include seeing my cpn and having amazon. It's flipping freezing here but no snow. Probably make myself a coffee soon.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 03:44 PM

I had an excellent driving lesson.
He said I'm one of the best students he's had, which is reassuring!
Did motorway, dual carriageways, country roads and the black cat roundabout which apparently people freak out about.

not_so_insig 16-01-2024 03:57 PM

I made myself a coffee then my cpn turned up early. So I had a cold coffee.

That's good Beckie.

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 04:00 PM

Could you not have the coffee while cpn was there?

Thanks!

not_so_insig 16-01-2024 04:01 PM

I was too busy talking!

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 04:04 PM

Fair enough!
I usually just take sips when whoever is here is talking before i reply!

one_step_closer 16-01-2024 04:12 PM

Well done, Beckie!

Oh my goodness I could never drink in front of a professional. I don't even wear my slippers if they are in my house!

Did it go ok with your CPN, Dawn?

Cacoethes 16-01-2024 04:23 PM

Thanks!

I'm not bothered about what i do or what I'm wearing in front of professionals XD
Told the crisis team to hold on because it was the piggos breakfast time!

long road 16-01-2024 04:32 PM

I contacted the GP surgery waiting for a call back now. According to online system it should be from my GP Dr A
and around now but they are usually running late and if one of the duty team is busy sometimes the other calls (generally 1 nurse practitioner and 1 doctor on duty)

In the meantime I am watching Warrior Nun on Netflix

tamobhuuta 16-01-2024 06:24 PM

Well done on your driving lesson Cacoethes.

I'm glad you talked lots to your CPN lr.

I'm ridiculously spasmy today. Having trouble speaking and holding things.

not_so_insig 16-01-2024 06:26 PM

Yes it went ok with my cpn Lindsay. Having a few changes to my meds which I am ok with.

tamobhuuta 16-01-2024 06:28 PM

Sorry, insig, not lr!

long road 16-01-2024 06:34 PM

Spasms suck Tamo I get them with my FND. I hope yours calm down soon.

GP and me have come up with a plan to escalate treatment and ideally keep me out of hospital and off steroids.

one_step_closer 16-01-2024 06:49 PM

Well I might tell someone I need to feed Crookshanks if they were there at one of his meal times because he is very vocal if I don't give him his food on time. Plus he is the most important.

Warrior Nun?! Glad you and your GP made a plan, Jen.

Hope your spasms settle, Tamo.

I'm glad it went well with your CPN, Dawn.
