Hey everyone, I hope you all have a good day. Have read everything but too much to take in!
I woke up millions of times in the early hours of the morning when it was dark and when it was light, just like yesterday. Don't know what's going on and if this is going to be a thing. My brain feels weird and not so well. I wanted to try and go on a tour of the charity shops in the towns near me to see if I could get some books but when I got up I felt like it was too late. Just put a washing on. |
Thanks!
That's odd. Hopefully it won't continue! You can always do the charity shop thing another day. It's raining here. Which is a shame because it was so lovely yesterday! And i have to get the bus in a few hours. |
No rain here, nice and sunny. I hope the weather improves before you have to leave. What are you doing before bus time?
|
According to my phone, it's raining until 4pm. So i at least hope it stops by the time i reach my destination!
I'm watching Alice in Borderland on Netflix. |
How long does it take on the bus? Maybe at your Mum's it'll be a whole new weather system!
I think I've heard of that but never watched it. Are you enjoying it? |
About 40 mins on first bus, can't remember how long on the second. maybe 30 mins.
One of the guys who lives across the road was full on shouting at a parking officer. Very unusual to get that sort of thing around here! He was proper getting in his face! Wouldn't be surprised if the police turn up later on. Bit of excitement for the day XD I also got my 90 rolls of toilet paper delivered! Was worried it would come when i was away. There's no tracking for it. Yes it's a pretty good series! I whacked my head REALLY hard on the under stairs cupboard door frame. Instant headache! |
I hope your head feels better soon Cacoethes.
I went to Confession, made sure I was at the front of the queue! |
Lol, I do like a bit of excitement as long as it's not me in the middle of it!
Glad you got your delivery. How many rolls do you have left before all those 90? I have to say it...maybe knocked some sense into you! On a serious note, I hope your pain doesn't stay long. Was there a long queue, Tamo? What are you doing with the rest of your day? |
Thanks!
Nah, i stay out of drama! My neighbour, however, was straight out here to have a look XD Apparently it was to 'make sure they don't come to my door'. Why on earth would they come to my door?? They were up the road and i don't own a car so the parking warden isn't going to come to my house is he? XD I did say this, me and the Evri lady has a bit of a chuckle. Neighbour still didn't want to admit she just came out to have a nose! Said she was worried it would upset me. I've seen far worse in my secure hospital days! I still had 27 rolls left! But it's best to do these things when i have the money to order, rather than waiting until I'm about to run out and have no money to buy any. Nah. Would take more than that! The headache has gone. But there is a slight lump and my ears have been ringing for ages which is annoying! What are you both up to for the rest of the day? |
Yeah, I wouldn't go out but I might spy from my window. Lol at your neighbour! Where do you even store your toilet rolls? I wouldn't have space for 90. Oh no, must have been a hard bump. I hope the ringing in your ears passes soon, I have it constantly so know how annoying it can be.
I've got no plans. Trying to read at points. Today is a quiet day. |
Luckily my window faces out into the road, and I can see out of the window from my sofa, so i see everything XD
My under stairs cupboard is very spacious. I can get an 8kg box of hay in there, shelves of random stuff including the toilet roll and mop bucket, broom, dustpan and brush, shopping bags, lightbulbs...just a lot of random things! It was a very hard bump! Quiet days can be good :) |
If there's a lump you ought to ice it. We have finally got on the road. There were a million little things we had to sort out.
|
A Mary Poppins cupboard!
Yes, sensible Jen. Ice might be a good idea for your bump. How are you doing, Jen? |
I don't have anything to ice it with unfortunately!
I've been meaning to buy an ice pack for my first aid box. Have to leave soon anyway. Have a safe journey Jen! It is a mary poppins cupboard! If np visits at any point, I have just seen the Space Pants sketch come up on a random friends fb memories! |
You don't need to get checked out do you Cacoethes?
There were two people who looked like they might be going to Confession so I didn't ask, I just sat right next to the confessional door! |
Nah I'm good!
And I'm going to my mum's anyway. So I'll be around people. Is it like in the movies with the little box thing? |
Sort of. No curtains, it's like a little cupboard with two doors. Inside on one side of a wall there's you and on the other there's the priest. You can choose to kneel in front of a grille or sit next to a window.
|
That's like what I've seen in films. Don't think I've seen them with curtains?
Then again, I'm not that observant! |
The ones I've seen in films were like, stand alone wooden boxes, with red curtains, with no optional window.
|
Take care, Beckie. Hope your house sitting goes ok.
The confession box thing scares me (I've only seen it in films though). |
Where are all my friends? I miss you!!!
|
I'm here :) just finished my book, really enjoyed it.
Our confessional is very unimposing :) also I suppose I'm used to it! Before special occasions they draft in priests from nearby to hear lots of confessions in one evening and you can choose just to sit face to face with the priest on plastic chairs. |
Hey, Tamo. :-)
I'm glad you enjoyed your book. Do you have one planned out to read next? I've just given up on a book, was more than 100 pages in but wasn't enjoying it. I'm glad you are ok with your confessional. I just cleaned my kitchen. It was on my to do list for tomorrow but I need to occupy myself tonight. |
Well done, I hope there will be more jobs to keep you occupied when needed!
I'm going to have to have a proper browse in the library. Sometimes you just have to give up on books! |
No more housework stuff that I can do tonight. Need to occupy myself till 7pm when I'll put my PJs on and watch some TV.
I'd love to have a good old browse in my local library. Miss that. I hope you find your next good read there. Do you know when you're planning to go? |
I've got no other plans next week so I'll see when Dad can go with me.
I'm spending some time watching doctor who. |
One of my neighbours just sent her husband over to give me money for hoover fresh discs I'm ordering for her so I can't say no to him and give the money back! She included a white chocolate and raspberry cookie so I now have something nice and sweet to eat which I'm always craving. :-D
|
How many series of Doctor Who are there?
|
I don't know! There are loads starting with Christopher Eccleston. I'm up to Peter Capaldi and there are more doctors to follow. Then there were more doctors back in the 60s and 70s which I've never seen but I think my brother has them on DVD.
|
Wow, and it's still going. Must be popular then.
|
Very! But everyone has their favourite doctor. Mine is Peter Capaldi so far.
|
I finished binge watching doctor who (again) the other day!
I'm not house sitting yet, that's Wednesday! Today i am jasmine sitting! Well, tonight |
Well done! Who's your favourite doctor?
|
David tennant or matt smith i think! Peter capaldi is also awesome.
'These are attack eyebrows' XD |
Matt Smith grew on me, at first he was annoying.

There we go, thanks insig! How are you?
|
I am ok thanks tamobhuuta.
|
I have a doctor who backpack! I only remembered because it's literally next to me on the sofa XD
|
Evening guys.
One of my work friends is really struggling so I sent her home and then she came round for a bit this evening once I'd finished (her parents were driving up, picking her up to go back home home with them, she's from down south). Now I feel like a fraud for being given support because I'm not "as bad" as her. (not posting in serious because I dont feel like this is potentially triggery, hope thats okay?) |
People at different levels of ok and not ok are allowed support.
That's cool Cacoethes! |
We have arrived safely at the cottage we are staying at and are settling in. Just popped to grab a pizza from the nearby town.
|
Ooh what type of pizza?
|
People present differently.
You seem very much like the 'get on with it because i have to' kinda person. But still need support. A lot of people at work were given extra mh support at work because they were like having panic attacks several times a shift. Where i wasn't offered the same extra support because i just carried on. (Not saying there's anything wrong with any presentation, just people are different!) But that didn't mean i didn't need support too. Glad you got there safely jen! Yay for pizza! My mum cooked us sausage, egg and chips! The eggs are from her chickens. Amazing how much better fresh eggs taste! |
Yeah, after "the thing" I went to work the next day and obviously wasn't focussed etc but I worry that the fact I did that, means it didnt affect me - whereas I felt like I didnt have a choice?
|
Oooo tastey dinners! I had lentil curry.
|
Lentil curry sounds amazing
|
It was good :)
|
People cope in different ways. And there's nothing wrong with that.
Just some people's ways are more obvious to others. You have lentil curry a lot tamo! |
Because mental health being rubbish is "normal" for me, people are used to it. I'm used to it. But when it's someone who doesn't normally struggle, it feels different.
