WHO DOESN'T LIKE CHEESE?!?!?!

Vegans? :P
Or lactose intolerant people.

Pi.R^2 08-05-2023 05:17 PM

My two closest friends at work don't like cheese and I don't know why I still like them.

Lindsay, you have forced me to the point of confessing that I've never actually tried a hash brown, but they look dodgy and don't they have onions in?

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:17 PM

Cheesy sweet potato mash sounds wrong somehow.

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:18 PM

The ones I've had have had onions in, I've only had hash browns in McDonalds. Do you not like onions? The only thing I don't like is that they can be really greasy.

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 05:25 PM

I think vegans and lactose intolerant people still LIKE cheese. Just can't have it!
Though i have seen some people with lactose intolerance risk everything to have an ice cream or milkshake! And probably cheese too!

Nah, cheese in everything is good!

They can be rather greasy!

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:26 PM

How about we all go for a McDonalds breakfast tomorrow and take a photo for proof!

No I think that sounds incredible!

My brother in law doesn't like cheese. If I was my sister I wouldn't have married him.

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 05:29 PM

I wish lindsay!

I definitely wouldn't marry someone who doesn't like cheese

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:31 PM

I'm not marrying anyone full stop!

It's so wet and grey here. Not liking it.

Pi.R^2 08-05-2023 05:32 PM

I need to go check out if there's a vegan mcdonald's breakfast!

Also Lindsay, onions are fine in like chilli and bolognese as I don't notice them, but I feel like I would notice them in a hash brown?

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 05:34 PM

As you may have seen in my rv, i got the random urge to get married last night.
Jenna called me odd for that :'(
The moment has passed. Luckily i don't live in vegas or I'd probably be married to some random by now!

It's grey here but no longer wet.

Pi.R^2 08-05-2023 05:36 PM

Dreadfully odd I think :P

Also the vegan McDonald's breakfast options are not ideal. This has reminded me that I need to try making crumpets sometime though!

I have to go hang up laundry now as the washing machine has just beeped *dramatic flail*

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 05:39 PM

I mean, yeah...

Ah that's a shame.
I like the egg and bacon mcmuffin. And pancakes.
Obvs very much NOT vegan!

Oh noo!
Hopefully won't take long.
I put mine away earlier

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:41 PM

I think onions are noticeable in a hash brown although I have a feeling the potato is shaped like diced onion too? I haven't had one in ages so I can't really remember.

Be careful you don't get too controlled by technology, Jenna. But you must not ignore the beep of the washing machine. I hope you don't have too much to hang up or any adulting to do after that.

It is weird to have a random urge to get married to someone/anyone.

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 05:43 PM

Yeah i think so!

I'm kind of a weird person.
You mean you haven't noticed??
I'm clearly hiding it well :-D

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:49 PM

I haven't noticed at all.

long road 08-05-2023 05:49 PM

Not all Hasbrowns have onion chunks in them. Just googled and the MC cains hash browns recipe is Potatoes (89%), Sunflower Oil (7%), Dehydrated Potatoes, Salt, Spices, Yeast Extract, Onion Powder.

So onion flavour slightly but not massive chunks..

I suppose if vegans and lactose intolerant people didn't like cheese there would be no market for cheese substitutes that actually taste kind of like cheese.

My brain has decided it doesn't want to think and have come back to bed with a headache and general exhaustion.

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:51 PM

The hash browns research must have been too much for your brain, Jen. I hope you can have some rest and feel better.

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 05:53 PM

Oh no jen :(
Make sure you have lots of rest!

I've just looked and the high protein grated cheese i have in my fridge is lactose free!

one_step_closer 08-05-2023 05:54 PM

Does it taste nice?

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 06:01 PM

It does!
I like it anyway.

Ahimsa 08-05-2023 06:08 PM

Exciting news guys!

IM HOME FROM WORK! (Also I emailed my manager to say using my lunchbreak for therapy followed by the remaining 7 hours of my shift isn’t a good idea!!
The work girls were like ‘PLEASE say you’ve CCed the director and HR in?’ But I haven’t, because otherwise I’ll be told off for going above her head without emailing her about it first.

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 06:13 PM

That is exciting news!
And well done for emailing your manager.
Don't be afraid to cc in the higher ups if she doesn't cooperate!

Ahimsa 08-05-2023 06:25 PM

Can I PM someone what I said in my email and see what you think? :)

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 06:28 PM

Jenna would probably be the best person because she has a proper grown up job!
I do not

Ahimsa 08-05-2023 06:36 PM

how is everyone?

Pi.R^2 08-05-2023 06:39 PM

*is summoned*
You're welcome to send it to me (PM or messenger) since I've been appointed one of the Proper Grown Up Job Havers. Even though Beckie has a job too *rolls eyes*

Ahimsa 08-05-2023 06:50 PM

Thanks Jenna!

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 06:58 PM

I have A job!
But it's not a proper grown up job!
I imagine in your job, you wouldn't stick a 'honk if you want a blowjob' car sticker on a managers car. I think that was after we wrapped the car in clingfilm....

long road 08-05-2023 07:00 PM

I have a proper grown up job, I design roads, I am just on prolonged disability leave! But yes Jenna is good at dealing with authority she is in a union and everything.

I meditated and it helped a tiny bit. Still have a headache though and still pretty darn tired. But not quite as bad as an hour or so ago.

Ahimsa 08-05-2023 07:02 PM

I'm glad meditating helped a little bit!

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 07:07 PM

Yes you do Jen!
When you go back, can you design a rainbow road like in mario kart? That would be fun.

I'm glad it helped a bit!

I wish. Rainbow road would not be up to any of the design standards though. And making it comply would probably make it boring!

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 07:15 PM

That's disappointing!
What do i even pay council tax for? :tongue2:

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 07:39 PM

Guys, we all need to band together in support for jenna, who is having an incredibly stressful time making a curry
#thoughtsandprayers

tamobhuuta 08-05-2023 08:04 PM

In my prayers. Do we need St Jude? Patron saint of helpless cases...

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 08:12 PM

Probably!

Though the end result looks pretty good!
Every pot was used though, apparently, so RIP whoever has to do the washing up

Zurg 08-05-2023 08:19 PM

Hey, if the curry is awesome, i'll do the dishes!!!! :D

I made chili sin carne with nachos for dinner. I was soooo hangry and i ended up eating Way too much :( this rarely ever happens as i am normally capable of remembering how sick i'll feel afterwards…..
#iregretnothingthough

tamobhuuta 08-05-2023 08:21 PM

Hurrah!

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 08:22 PM

So a chilli con carne without the meat?
As long as you enjoyed it and regret nothing, i say that's a win!

Zurg 08-05-2023 08:25 PM

Yes, no meat :)

It tasted good!!! Good enough that i'd might even do it again. But i still feel slightly sick and i wonder how sometimes people can go to parties and stuff and eat for an entire day/evening…. Though i probably did manage that myself when i was a good bit younger…..

Bring back the younger-hunger!!!
Sorry, sleep deprivation makes me incredibly silly

Pi.R^2 08-05-2023 08:26 PM

Wow, absolutely savage tamo!!!
Turns out it tastes ok *shrug* and K liked it!

Hooray for tasty chilli Zurg; hope you don’t feel too poorly =S

If you’ve done case work you might be a better bet than me!

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 08:30 PM

My spanish lessons on duolingo have served me well XD

I think people tend to spread it out.
On a night out, i can either eat or drink. I cannot do both!
My body will not tolerate it XD

Glad it was ok jenna!

Maybe being full will help you sleep zurg?

nonperson 08-05-2023 08:35 PM

I want chilli and curry =(

Also, by some miracle I managed to get the very last bag of hash browns in the supermarket!

And speaking of proper jobs, I had an epiphany on the way home that I know the perfect person to answer a question I have... so Beckie, can I ask you a question about your job/ your customers?!

Ahimsa 08-05-2023 08:38 PM

I fell asleep!!!

Pi.R^2 08-05-2023 08:42 PM

Glad you got some hash browns! Also I hope you will ask your question to Beckie here because I’m nosy!

Hope you had a nice nap Beth :)

Cacoethes 08-05-2023 08:43 PM

Result!!!

Go for it np!

You must have needed it beth!
Did you get your chores done?

Ahimsa 08-05-2023 08:44 PM

Beckie, I did not. I couldn't stay awake.

My plan before I can go to bed:

- Put away ONE (1) load of the washing thats on the sofa
- Cats litter trays
- Wash up enough for dinner tonight
- Have a bath.

That's just 4 things, right? That's doable?
