Ninja post!
The things we do for our pets! It's basically the great escape with chickens in wallace and gromit style. Yeah best not then! |
Busy in here today!
Takeaway always tastes better next day imo |

Does working with unwell animals get to you? I don't know if I could do it. I hope things get better. That's a bit rubbish having to do things on your laptop while you have your lunch, you sound so busy. I hope you enjoy your lunch at least.
|
Oh that's awful :(
I'd find that so difficult |
I'm very glad I'm not on the clinical side!!
How is everyone else Sunday's going? |

I joined RYL bedding change day today, or more accurately I got my partner to change the bed covers while I was in the shower! |
That was a smart move, Jen! I hate changing my bedding mainly trying to get the duvet in the duvet cover.
|
I half did my bedding the other day, then had to call in support.
|
'My whole life flashed before my eyes! It was really boring'
Love babs! I should probably do mine too. Slightly less effort here as no duvets! |
Jen, yes, well remembered!
Lindsay, have you tried the Great Inside Out Trick for putting on a duvet cover? It revolutionised my life, no word of a lie. |
The Great Inside Out Trick, like duvet cover inside out, find top edges and sort of flip the cover the right way over the duvet OR... the California Roll method which is also inside out but involves rolling?
|
Rolling??
I am intrigued. I always use the inside out method |
|
Ohh that's pretty cool!
On a slightly related note, who has a duvet cover with a zip???? |
I've got one with a zip! It also happens to be Harry Potter themed. I attempt the inside out trick but still get it wrong. In hospital it was easier because it was smaller and open at the bottom.
|
I've never heard of the inside out trick. Someone teach me.
I've also never heard of a duvet cover with a zip. |
Yeah inside out is harder with a large duvet but still the easiest way, I think.

No rolling for me, just the classic Inside Out.

I've done it with massive failure so I don't see why you couldn't do it. Tbh, I don't use it often, only when I feel pissed off with the effort of inside out.
|
I go for inside out if I am doing it my self, but the partner method remains my favourite XD
I think I may still be friends with Iwe the cat on Facebook... Had a nap and now sorting out my meal plan and online shop. |
My duvet seems huge, I might even mess up the inside out method but if I remember I'll give it a go next Sunday. I wish I could use the partner method, could I borrow your partner, Jen? Or maybe I could get my own 'partner' but just to change my bedding and nothing else. No other contact.
Where do you do your online shop, Jen? |
I would lend my partner but considering you live I think in Scotland and I live in South West England it would be a 7-11 hour journey 1 way to send my partner to Scotland depending on location. Perhaps you can get a duvet changing robot? I am sure the Japanese will have invented one.
We use Tesco as a close relative works there and lets us use their staff discount. |
I'll look into a duvet changing robot, thanks for the idea!
Oh that is good getting a discount. Tesco is quite expensive now as are all supermarkets really. Or are Aldi and Lidl sticking with lower prices? |
Robot is the way to go if you don't want to interact with them. Robots can be put in the cupboard, partners might object!
It's a 10% discount plus clubcard prices (read the old regular prices) and it adds up. Not sure about Aldi and Lidl they don't do delivery or click and collect around here and we find online more convenient. Lidl's bakery section is amazing, partner occassionally does a Lidl bakery run for us as a treat it's only 5 minutes drive. |
We don't have duvets here.
Just a sheet and blanket. I don't use the blanket though because it's far too warm in here |

I'm afraid I've got bad news about Iwe the cat... |

That's ok I suspected as much about Iwe the Cat. |

Just realised that was supposed to say "without massive failure", not with...! |

Oh good. Either way it came across as an encouraging comment, just not so self-deprecating =P
|
I do like Lidl's bakery. I like the focaccia breads with the toppings and toffee yum yums.
Beckie, do you have a window in your room? A thing about being in hospital that I hate is that I'm usually in a dorm and the other patients usually open all the windows and it's freezing. I have to wear a hoodie on top of my PJs and wait till everyone is asleep to quietly close the windows. |
I've never been to a lidl but I've heard good things about their baked goods
Yep there is a window! Always wide open. I do close it before i go to bed though because i know it'll end up being freezing at like 3am |
Oh the simple joy of having control over whether a window is open or closed!
Do you have a nice view from your window? The ward I go to has some nice trees outside that I often just sit and watch for ages if my bed is next to a window. |
Indeed!
Not really. Just a road. You do get to hear lots of drama though! |
I can't cope with drama in hospital. It upsets/triggers me.
|
Greetings all. I have been out but my right shoe developed a massive hole so I hobbled along. I am at my parents rn so I will be going home in slippers such is the size of the hole that they're unsavable.

Hey guys!

Hey Ahimsa! About to have roast dinner in a little bit. Really looking forward to it. |
Ooh yum!!
My littlest cat has come and when I asked her if she had anything to say, she meowed. So I'm passing that on from her. |
Oooh, roast dinner! I need to do one of those soon, it's just such a big undertaking!
Evening Dawn and Beth + cat, how are you? |

It's not hospital drama, it's outside drama. A lot of people walk past.
Ooh a roast! Yummy! I never have roasts. Doesn't seem like any point cooking one just for me. Work do them though, so maybe I'll pop up for one when I'm out. Aww hello catto! |

Lots of ninjas!
We have a roast most weeks at least at this time of year. When it gets to summer we don't want the oven on that long! But despite having one most weeks I still consider them a treat, my favourite part is roast potatoes and parsnips. |

Please can you tell us a good question from your quiz?
Also I can confirm to the thread that Beth's colourful hair looks stupendous! Also2, I just burnt the rice for dinner :plain: |
Parsnips are The Worst Jen, so by liking them you also become The Worst.
