Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 08:48 AM

Morning Beckie! How are you? Still waiting for a bed? I did give your whole NHS trust infraction points, but I don’t think it helped.

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 09:45 AM

Yep still waiting!
Thank you! :tongue2:
My friend from work wants to visit but the issue is, I can be moved at a moment's notice. Like they could literally come and be like 'taxis here, off you go!'
And she has to come such a long way and get a lift. I really want to see her though.

How are you?

tamobhuuta 10-04-2023 10:03 AM

Morning peeps.

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 10:38 AM

Morning!

I want to go out for fresh air but a wheelchair is nowhere to be found!

How are you?

tamobhuuta 10-04-2023 10:44 AM

I do not want to go outside. It is tipping it down here! But I hope you get to.
I'm having a cup of tea with my mum and dad.

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 10:52 AM

It is here too.
But i need some fresh air!
It's ridiculous how hard it is to get hold of a wheelchair IN A HOSPITAL!!! XD

Aww lovely!

tamobhuuta 10-04-2023 11:24 AM

My job today is to sort my meds boxes for the week. I have had my hair wash :)

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 11:50 AM

Well done!
I used to hate putting meds in their boxes

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 12:04 PM

Oh that's such a frustrating predicament Beckie! Has she decided to come and take her chances or wait until you get back to psych? Also your psych visiting times seem super-restrictive; is that a leftover from COVID?

Morning tamo!

tamobhuuta 10-04-2023 12:21 PM

Hi Pi, how are you?

At our psych hospital you're allowed an hour.

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 12:30 PM

I'm OK - getting better now some painkillers are kicking in!

Even an hour feels harsh; I'm sure in the London ones I was allowed longer, although I always wore my work lanyard which I know sometimes let me get away with things because people thought I worked there :P

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 12:30 PM

What are you up to?

tamobhuuta 10-04-2023 01:01 PM

I'm glad your painkillers are working. I did my meds boxes.

In one hospital, not my usual one, my friiend R wore his chaplain lanyard so he didn't have to stick to visiting hours.

one_step_closer 10-04-2023 01:19 PM

Afternoon, too much to catch up with!

I hope you all have a really nice day and get all that you need/want, within reason!

not_so_insig 10-04-2023 01:33 PM

Afternoon all. I am stuck indoors because it's tipping it down here.

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 01:38 PM

Oh no, what did you have planned Dawn? Seems to be raining everywhere- it’s also raining up here. Just need to hear from our Scottish correspondent now!!

Good job!
And lol, sneaky chaplain!

not_so_insig 10-04-2023 01:41 PM

I was probably going out Jenna but it's not fit. Especially as my mobility is **** and I can't walk far. So that means the benches are wet and I don't want a damp arse.

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 01:48 PM

On a weekend the rules are much more relaxed.
Because the slots after weren't booked, she was allowed to stay nearly 2 hours! Would have been longer but she had to go.
Weekdays are very busy. But 30 mins is really mean.
I believe it is leftover from covid.
I may bring it up with the powers that be actually.

My 1:1 nurse stole a wheelchair from physio and we spent a good amount of time outside. It's now really sunny and warm!

Ahimsa 10-04-2023 01:59 PM

Hey all,

It's raining here too, I'm having a cosy afternoon and have had music and candles, and I'm thinking of having a nap soon.

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 02:05 PM

Sounds like a plan!

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 02:17 PM

Yessss nap time!! Well deserved after all your running around yesterday!

Glad you’ve finally got outside Beckie :). Btw, today I am learning English counties and there’s two that I knew already because of you!

Next job: learn Welsh counties. Then you will know mine.

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 02:37 PM

Already know yours. And know roughly where it is because of that time I got obsessed with finding people’s nearest Chiquitos.

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 02:38 PM

Oooh yay! I helped! :-D

I remember the chiquitos discussion XD

not_so_insig 10-04-2023 02:47 PM

I am tempted to know if you're correct Jenna.

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 03:07 PM

At the time you listed some restaurants that you did have and I cross-referenced those to check my answer. Although one of the restaurants you mentioned closed in 2020. I don’t know why I’m admitting to this level of weirdness.

nonperson 10-04-2023 03:36 PM

I am greatly amused by the weirdness XD

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 03:39 PM

DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHERE YOUR NEAREST CHIQUlTOS IS????

nonperson 10-04-2023 04:22 PM

I'm sure I can find that out myself if I really need to.

But if you're at a loss of better things to do, have at it =P

one_step_closer 10-04-2023 04:26 PM

Way back in the thread but it's not raining here. From looking outside it's sunny and maybe a bit breezy. Your Scottish correspondent.

I'm glad you had a long visit and some fresh air, Beckie.

Hope you're having a nice relaxed day, Ahimsa.

I don't think I've heard of Chiquitos. But I do remember you (Jenna) telling me where my nearest somewhere was.

nonperson 10-04-2023 04:47 PM

It's sunny and windy here too, but that may turn to rain at any moment.

Should rename Ask Jeeves to Ask Jenna. Who needs Google.

Cacoethes 10-04-2023 05:03 PM

Didn't have a long visit today lindsay, was talking about my last visit on the psych ward!

It's still sunny here.

Jenna knows all!
And she does maths for fun, which is just bonkers.

Already looked without permission tbh. 11 miles away. Which I think is towards the low end of everyone else's but I can't be sure. I'm gonna go make a chart.

Phew, glad to hear from the Scottish correspondent! Also I nearly threw a tantrum when I read you saying you hadn't heard of CHiquitos but then I read the next sentence and calmed down.

=D

Also, it's stopped raining here but it's still overcast, I'm hoping your gardening wisdom will tell me it's a bad time to go do weeding and I can just skip it and stay inside?

nonperson 10-04-2023 05:44 PM

Overcast is fine weather for gardening! But I'd be a massive hypocrite if I told you to go outside and get that weeding done while you can. But also gardening after it's rained is a bit miserable because everything is wet and muddy and gross so...

one_step_closer 10-04-2023 05:51 PM

Sorry Beckie. Would have been nice for you to have a long visit again.

Everyone should just do the nice things they can do for themselves for the rest of the day, definitely not weeding.

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 05:54 PM

Hmm, I was going to dramatically sulk and go do the weeding but then Lindsay responded so now I am undecided.

Exciting results
I don't think anything I say here gives away locations but just PR me and I'll edit if I make anyone nervy!

Closest to a Chiquitos whilst simultaneously the only person to have to leave their country to do so = Dawn/not_so_insig - 9 miles

Furthest from a Chiquitos = Jen/long road - 78 miles!!!

Only person to not have to leave their county to go to Chiquitos = Beth/Ahimsa - 10 miles

Best person at Chiquitos research = Jenna/Pi.R^2 (also 9.9 miles)

You're all very welcome for the data no one asked for.

Ahimsa 10-04-2023 06:03 PM

Hey guys,

I am awake again!

Jenna, I am roughly 10 miles away from one, I used my exact location on the maps thing.

Also, Beth ;)

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 06:16 PM

WHAT.

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 06:18 PM

I only had what you said on here to go off :( You now go into 3rd place behind me and Dawn (I'm 9.9!!) but you can stay on the hall of fame for being the only one who doesn't have to leave your county.

Also yay! I thought that was your name, but didn't see evidence of you using it recently so I erred on the side of caution!

Ahimsa 10-04-2023 06:53 PM

Aha yes! That is I!

Pi.R^2 10-04-2023 07:08 PM

Guess where I’m going for dinner guys?????

Ahimsa 10-04-2023 07:09 PM

Hmmmmmm, a difficult question.

Ahimsa 10-04-2023 07:16 PM

I am too tired to go for a food shop tonight.

For real?!

I've been to one in Bristol, 85 miles away. Do I get a mention for the person who has traveled the furthest to go to one?

Edit: although thinking about it, it would have been 176 miles away from where I was living at the time.

not_so_insig 10-04-2023 07:24 PM

Yep nonperson. The Chiquitos I go to is 18 miles away and in a different country though.

Ahimsa 10-04-2023 07:28 PM

I have never been! Although I've just looked at the menu and there isn't anything I would eat on it, so maybe that's why?

nonperson 10-04-2023 07:38 PM

I remember liking it at the time but probably wouldn't choose to go to one again now.

nonperson 10-04-2023 07:39 PM

To change the topic entirely (if that's ok), does anyone know how having DHL collect a parcel from your house actually works?!

I have an address, some random paperwork that makes no sense to me and it says I don't even need a box... =/

not_so_insig 10-04-2023 07:42 PM

No idea I am afraid nonperson as I have never had a courier collect from me.
