not_so_insig 25-04-2023 03:22 PM

I had a shower in the end.

long road 25-04-2023 04:14 PM

Good work comfort cat!

Did your shower help Dawn?

I am inside now as it got windy.

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 05:09 PM

Thanks. Plain scones or flavoured?

one_step_closer 25-04-2023 05:29 PM

Gym group is getting boring but I got through it.

Welcome to the thread Zippit, you've been doing a lot. I hate RLS, do you not have meds to try and get rid of it?

I hope everything's ok, Tamo. I supposedly had a heart murmur once and then no one ever mentioned it again so it must have gone away! I think you can get them if you're anxious.

Well done with the things you've done, Jen. I'm glad you managed to get out in your garden. How are you now?

Have you been out for a walk yet, Beckie?

Well done for managing the meter man and having a shower, Dawn. I hope you're feeling less anxious.

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 05:33 PM

Heart murmurs seem quite common here osc!
Sorry you're not enjoying the gym.

Very tastey Zippit.

one_step_closer 25-04-2023 05:39 PM

What are you getting up to, Tamo?

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 05:47 PM

I was promised a walk at 5:30 by a hca, who is now busy with another patient.
Have asked to go with someone else but nurse said she has to finish meds, by which time everyone will be doing notes and preparing for handover.

one_step_closer 25-04-2023 05:49 PM

That must be so frustrating. It can't be helped though since they've got tasks to do but not good all the same. Have you been in the garden at least?

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 05:53 PM

This is not an isolated incident.
Been trying to ask for a 1:1 for literal weeks.
Nope. Because you need staff in the garden with you.

one_step_closer 25-04-2023 06:00 PM

Don't give up. Keep asking for the things you need and deserve and the things that should be happening. I'm sorry they don't seem to be listening or have time. Have you got something to occupy yourself with for now?

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 06:02 PM

This ward is a shambles in general tbh.
I've emailed the advocacy service.
Although last time i contacted them they said they'd call and then didn't.

I'm just listening to music

one_step_closer 25-04-2023 06:05 PM

I hope you get a response from advocacy this time and they are able to help. It doesn't sound like a therapeutic environment at all.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 06:07 PM

It is not.
The only real interaction with staff i get is when i go for meds and i get to talk to them while they get them ready.

long road 25-04-2023 06:48 PM

Pain has set in so I have retreated to sofa with a blanket and a bear. Partner is cooking burgers for our dinner.

*Shakes fist at shambles of a ward*

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 06:51 PM

Mmm burgers!
Hope the pain eases soon

*joins in fist shaking*

long road 25-04-2023 06:59 PM

What do we want? A therapeutic environment that works towards safe discharge! When do we want it? NOW!
*Marches up and down with a get your act together sign*

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 07:03 PM

Thank you for your support!
I got asked by staff if I'd been outside, started to answer the someone called her and she walked off.
I just can't with these people

long road 25-04-2023 07:06 PM

*sigh*
So close and yet so far.
It will be dark soon!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 07:13 PM

It will!
Can only hope for decent staff tonight!

long road 25-04-2023 07:15 PM

I hope the nice one who brings you Pepsi Max and chats is on.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 07:17 PM

Me too!
It'll probably all kick off later tbh. Standard!

Have you had your burgers yet?

tamobhuuta 25-04-2023 07:23 PM

Sorry you didn't get your outside time Cacoethes.

I've been listening to Terry Pratchett.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 07:25 PM

Thanks :)

Ooh good choice

long road 25-04-2023 07:46 PM

:burger: Burgers have been eaten :burger:

They were very good.

Now have a cup of Yorkshire Tea Malty Biscuit Brew ( basically regular English breakfast with malt added so it tastes like tea with malted milk biscuits)

I am mildly irritated just had the intercom go because of an Amazon delivery and he didn't come to the door of my flat (which is on ground floor) just left it just inside the front door to the block in the communal hallway! I had already had to haul my achy self off the sofa and then I had to get shoes and rescue the parcel! I know they have a lot of parcels to deliver and targets to meet but it's only ten more steps.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 07:55 PM

Glad you enjoyed them!

I've heard of that tea! Is it good?

That is irritating!

long road 25-04-2023 07:58 PM

It is amazing. Especially when you have a biscuit craving and no biscuits in the house. I have however not been brave enough to try the Jam on Toast Tea. That was a step too far!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 08:10 PM

I'll have to try it!
Jam on toast tea does sound a bit much, however i am intrigued!

long road 25-04-2023 08:17 PM

My logic was I would dip a biscuit in tea. I would never dip jam on toast in tea. So biscuit tea is ok jam tea is not.

Although I do like berry tea. But not mixed with black tea and milk...

My brain is falling off a cliff. Thinking is in slow mo

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 08:20 PM

I knew a nurse who would dip toast in tea
Idk if she had jam on it though!

I don't like fruit teas. Only normal tea!

That doesn't sound pleasant!

long road 25-04-2023 08:23 PM

That is weird. I dare to ask but with or without butter? Buttery tea sounds soooo wrong.

As I like to call it Tea Tea

Not particularly think it's a combo of pain, fatigue and maybe dissociation. Should probably try and rest but that involves focusing on resting.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 08:32 PM

I'm not sure! I was too surprised to ask!

Yes! Tea tea!

That is a predicament. Try not to think about it too intently!

long road 25-04-2023 08:37 PM

Got TV on, and legs propped up, just goin gtontry closing my eyes and just listening to the TV.

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 08:39 PM

Sounds like a plan!
I hope you manage to relax

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 09:17 PM

Love a good void scream.
May i join you?

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 09:30 PM

I quite agree!
Here's hoping the week improves for us both!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 09:43 PM

Yeah best not tempt fate!

I have loud music on as per usual!
Fluffy cute things are always appreciated!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:01 PM

Right now it is Lowborn.
Spotify has come up with some bangers recently

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:18 PM

They're pretty good!
I hadn't heard of them until a friend recommended a song recently. Then spotify recommended other songs.
I'm pretty new to spotify. Amazon music stopped working so I'm mooching off the family premium plan lol

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:32 PM

I'll have a listen!
Any particular songs you would recommend?

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:43 PM

Thanks!
Always like to listen to new stuff!

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 10:53 PM

Not vibing with bad omens.
Loving smash into pieces though!

Pi.R^2 25-04-2023 10:56 PM

Just coming to give a sleepy wave to the thread! Hope you've all had good days :)

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 11:08 PM

Any recommendations are good!
I have plenty of time!

Hi jenna!

Ahimsa 25-04-2023 11:09 PM

Sleepy wave over here! Just got back from reading the quiz, I went straight there from work so just home and falling into bed!

Hope everyones okay

Cacoethes 25-04-2023 11:17 PM

Your life sounds so exhausting!

Cacoethes 26-04-2023 09:08 AM

Morning everyone

tamobhuuta 26-04-2023 09:57 AM

Morning people. How are you Cacoethes?

Cacoethes 26-04-2023 09:58 AM

Didn't get a lot of sleep so I'm a bit grumpy

How are you?

tamobhuuta 26-04-2023 10:07 AM

Sorry to hear that. My night was quite disturbed but overall i got plenty of sleep. My sister's gone to therapy so it's just Dad and me for morning tea.

tamobhuuta 26-04-2023 10:18 AM

I don't know what to get my Dad for his birthday next week :(
