Thanks :)
Still nothing But still 45 mins until the appointment. There is time. She said on Wednesday 'I'll send the link now' so i imagine she forgot or thought she'd already sent it. Hopefully you won't be waiting too long! |
Lots of waiting on people.
I too am waiting. Duty said last night they would email my psych and phone me when he gets back to them. |
I am not waiting for anyone :D
Just trying to gather some strength for cleaning my bathroom because i have guests over tomorrow. I keep getting randomly out of breath. This is why i hate getting ill, it always decides to linger in my lungs!!! I hope you will all be contacted by the appropiate people at the very best time!!! |
Hope they get back to you soon lindsay
Waiting sucks Hey zurg! I also have to clean today Hopefully you won't find it too tough! |
I didn't have to wait long. Got a call back 10 minutes post initial call. Have an appointment with nurse practioner at 12:30pm. All very efficient really.
Hope everyone else hears back soon Hello Zurg, did you check if it was covid? As that can leave you pretty breathless. Good luck with cleaning. |
That's good
I still have not received a link The appointment is in 10 mins XD I'm sure she'll call when it hits 12 and i haven't joined |
Hmm wa syour appointment last week at the same time? Maybe she is reusing that meeting? (Happened to me with my psychologist)
|
Yeah, but she said on Wednesday that she'd send the email now.
And when i spoke to the receptionist she said maybe she'll send it closer to the time |
*facepalms* so efficient...
|
I didn't get it checked, Jen. I'm actually a bit unsure how to even get that arranged these days…. But my lungs generally suffer still from many years of smoking cigarettes so it's not unusual that whatever i manage to catch, it will fester in the lungs for a while.
I hope the appointment is helpful, Jen. And i hope your psychologist has returned to the world of the living, Beckie!!! It's partly funny and partly annoying when people forget you like that. |
That sucks but makes sense Zurg. In UK we can buy lateral flow tests from the pharmacy.
Hope your lungs stop festering soon! My appointment went well. I only have a very mild wheeze on my chest and we can avoid hospital admission and because o mild wheeze only plus having nebulisers at home we can avoid steroids as well. |
She sent the link at 12:02 XD
Have you tried sitting in a room with a hot shower running? Apparently the steam can help! Glad your appointment went well jen |
Hi. Looks like everything's going on here. I had a visit from my dad and a shower.
|
I just got the loveliest parcel from lindsay!
It's really cheered me up! Well done on your shower tamo |
Hope you enjoyed your visit Tamo
Yay for lovely Lindsay Post <3 |
Really brightened my day!
Going for drinks with E and another work friend soon. They finish at 5. Could do with it tbh! Anyone got any plans for this evening? |
You are so welcome, Beckie. I'm really glad it cheered you up. Hope you enjoy seeing your peoples, don't drink too much!
Hope you got the cleaning done ok, Kat. Not fun any day but less fun when you're unwell! Are you looking forward to your guests coming over? I'm glad you have managed to avoid hospital and steroids, Jen. Well done, Tamo. Did you enjoy your visit? This evening I will just be trying to avoid total panic really. |
This evening I am running the honey heist rpg. Everyone is a bear and they are trying to rob the annual honey awards.
Each bear has a special skill and a specialist role. You have two stats and each starts with 3 points. Bear stat: Used to maul stuff, run & climb, shrug off damage, scare people, and generally do bear stuff. Criminal Stat: Used to do anything not directly related to being a bear. When you act, and the outcome is in doubt, roll a D6. If it’s equal to Or under the relevant stat, you succeed. If it’s over the stat, you fail. You can adjust your stats during play If your criminal stat ever reaches 6, you are lured into a life of crime and betray the party. If your bear stat ever reaches 6, you flip out bear- style and lose it. Presumable to be picked up by animal control in half an hour or so. And basically we roleplay the hi-jinks that occur when bears try and conduct a honey heist! |
That sounds really fun lr.
I did have a good time with my dad. Mum's coming at 7 :) |
Sounds a bit complicated to me, Jen. Have fun!
I'm glad you have good support from your family, Tamo. Hope it's a nice visit with your Mum too. |
It's a very simple game all the rules fit in an A4 piece of paper. Some RPGs have massive rules books of 500 + pages.
I am sure you would understand if I explained it properly. I am hoping to get to enjoy running for the first time |
500 + pages!!!
Ooh, this is your first time running? Good luck if you need it! |
It's my first time. I am little nervous but it is a silly game so should be low stress. Thanks for the well wishes
|
It went well. Finished a bit early as I was getting tired /FND was starting to kick in. But much fun was had. The bears are in the convention centre having stolen a 4x4 from a trailhead to get into central Portland. They have so far stolen raw fish fillets from a fish and chip stand. Knocked out a security guard and stolen his ID. Taken lots of honey samples and used their inside bears to find the location of the super special honey!
|
That sounds like lots of fun LR! How do RPG's work, is it just experiential or can someone "win" - like, when does it end? When you're tired/bored/want to do something else, or is there an end point?
|
Morning everyone
|
Morning!
Quote:
In Honey Heist for instance the ending is either the bears securing the prize honey and escaping or being captured by the humans or the bear police. And the bears actions determine how that goes. In campaign we finished in August the end point wa sus saving the universe or not from ab evil alien mastermind. |
Morning jen!
How are you? |
Morning Beckie and Jen :)
That bear rpg sounds like so much fun. And who doesn’t want to be a bear??? And be on a honey stealing mission??? Hope your night out was lovely, Beckie. I have a headache, one of my guests are ill and staying home and i need to hoover my flat. Taking a wee break now with coke and paracetamol after having finished the rather massive pile of dishes i had somehow accumulated in my kitchen since yesterday…. |
Hey zurg!
My evening out was nice thanks. Got drunk, as per usual with 'one drink after work' Once the sambuca shots come out, you know it's game over XD Sounds full on! Hope you feel better throughout the day Take it easy! |
Morning! I'm glad good evenings were had.
Apparently they are searching everyone's rooms after an increase in SH. |
Ugh. Room searches.
Hope they don't make too much mess |
I had to lie down on the sofa after my vision went blurry(happens with FND sometimes and is a warning sign I might have a seizure soon) and fell asleep for a couple of hours. Starting to feel better now though.
The bear RPG was very fun we are playing part 2 next Friday. Eurgh to headaches Zurg. I hope the paracetamol helped. You are a wild one Beckie! Make sure you rehydrate properly today Hope room search wasn't too stressful Tamo. What's everyone up to? I am just about to have a beans and cheese wrap for linch |
My room hasn't been searched yet. I don't know what is going on.
I'm glad you're feeling better. |
Afternoon everyone.
Glad you had a good evening Jen and Beckie. How are you getting on, Beth? Hope you're ok, Kat. Well done with the dishes! I hope you're not left on edge for ages, Tamo. I went to the chemist then came home and did a washing, cleaned my kitchen and bathroom, and hoovered. Then I got an email from B&M and thought they had cool stuff so went on the bus to look. Unfortunately I forgot the place where B&M is were having their Christmas market and I was worried where to get the bus home but I managed to find it ok. I didn't even get anything exciting, just bleach and a dish washing thing! |
Im at the cinema with L
Gonna watch the new hunger games :) |
Enjoy!
|
Well done on jobs osc.
Enjoy your film Cacoethes. |
Thank god i only have a birthday once a year!!!! My head is pounding and everything else hurts as well. Two tired kids and their just as tired parents=soooo many meltdowns o_o
But i Think everyone survived, had cake and etc and i have just finished cleaning up and doing dishes. Feel like i could sleep for 48 hours straight!!! |
Well done, Kat! You deserve a proper rest now.
How is your day going, Tamo? |
Hope you can relax now Zurg.
My day is OK, feeling mildly anxious all day. What about you? |
I have bought my new diary - Hufflepuff ftw.
|
Evening all,
Hey Tamo, that sounds very organised! What's it like? :) |
Nice choice Tamo. What was your diary for this year?
Hi, Beth. Hope you're having a nice relaxed evening. |
Hufflepuff ftw indeed!
|
Ooh Beckie, let me know how the new Hunger Games film is! I kinda want to see it
|
Not my diary for the year, my journal diary thing. It's yellow with the Hufflepuff crest :) I wanted the Dark Mark one but it was out of stock.
|
Sounds like the one you got is lovely though, where's it from?
Hey OSC and NP, how are you both? I've treated myself to a necklace I didn't need but really really liked and it came up on a Facebook advert |
The Harry Potter tour online shop.
It's nice to treat yourself :) I could have got a cheaper diary but wanted something more interesting. |
I hope you ordered a chocolate frog for yourself as well, Tamo
