Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy.
Read it before and liked it but finding it hard going this time because it needs concentration and I have exams at the moment so have given up for the moment and reading trashy crime novels and chick lit to chill out :-)

The War Doctor 01-06-2010 07:07 PM

Finished Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, and though I did like it, I didn't love it. It's beautifully written, but it felt to me like a huge blanket of lovely, original metaphors wrapped around a rather thin plot. Still, it intrigued me enough to want to read more of Woolf.

Currently reading Crash by J.G. Ballard. I hated the film adaptation but i'm loving the book so far.

Sorry misunderstood, thought that may have been the name to the 10th book in the series. I can't wait for it, I love these books so much. I have never seen any of the TV series.
