long road 26-12-2023 12:49 PM

My porridge was delicious! Now resting on the sofa, drinking coffees listening to music and doing a puzzle book.

I think my hangovers were worse when I did drink because I really shouldn't have been drinking on my meds anyway :whistling:

Enjoy your visit Tamo.

I do like the quiet rumbling sound of washing machines and dryers Zurg, so while not the most exciting afternoon doing laundry might be quite peaceful.

Well done on showering Lio. Sad times that your pancake didn't work. Will you try again or did you make something else?

Well done on chores Beth

one_step_closer 26-12-2023 12:50 PM

My brother has left my house!!!! I am so terrible. Just put everything back in order.

Hope you have a peaceful day, Jen.

Enjoy seeing your Mum, Tamo.

Do you have lots of laundry to do, Kat?

Well done, Beth! I hope you can get your piercing sorted tomorrow although it sounds like a lot of effort.

Are you enjoying your coffee machine, Beckie?

Oh dear, Lio! Did you make a successful pancake in the end?

Elmer 26-12-2023 01:03 PM

Glad your porridge was good Jen!

Beth, you always get so much done. I hope you can chill too.

I hope you can rest a bit too now, Lindsay.

I had a pancake, unsure if it was successful but it tasted good. I had peanut butter and jam on it

Hey Elmer!

You say that but I really don't - that why I HAVE so much to do!

This is the first time I've done the washing up in over a week, my clean washing is still sat on the sofa from Thursday when I took it out of the dryer, I haven't vacuumed in a month, it was on the list for every day last week and didn't get done, the pictures I bought in May still haven't been put up!

Just so no one thinks I'm this super productive super person, I'm really really not!

Zurg 26-12-2023 01:27 PM

By the Sound of it you are so busy surviving every day life, Beth so i really don't Think anyone will Think you're lazy. I would not cope with just a third of all those things you have to do. So you Seem like a superhero to me :-)

Washing machine noise is terrible!!! I flee the laundry basement as soon as i have pushed start on the machines. I hate loud noises!!!! They are so damn loud when they start slingning the clothes. How come you can make a device that makes a gunfire quiet but not a washing machine??? >:(

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 01:36 PM

So busy in here today!

I don't think it's recommended to drink on ANY meds jen!
I keep being told not to on mine. #YOLO :tongue2:

Well done to everyone on their side quests!

I've just been to asda. It was surprisingly empty

Ahimsa 26-12-2023 01:43 PM

Ooh did you get anything Beckie?

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 02:14 PM

Nothing massively exciting!
Budget diet coke, veg for the piggos and granola yogurts!

Ahimsa 26-12-2023 02:22 PM

I LOVE cheap cola!!

Tell me about the granola yoghurts please? Which ones are they, Im trying to find a good one

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 02:56 PM

I prefer coke zero, but who can afford that these days??

They are activia ones!
There's a raspberry and chia seed one and a vanilla and granola one

not_so_insig 26-12-2023 04:33 PM

My washing machine is quiet.

Afternoon all. I didnt have any hangover either Beckie considering the amount I drank.

one_step_closer 26-12-2023 04:55 PM

I like the sound of quiet-ish washing machines and watching them do their thing.

Were there no bargains in Asda, Beckie?

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 05:37 PM

That's good Dawn!

There was quite a bit in the reduced section, but nothing that really appealed to me!

L has just booked us a horse riding tour of ancient rome!
I haven't ridden in years but i used to love it and I'm so excited!

not_so_insig 26-12-2023 05:43 PM

Oooh that's good Beckie.

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 05:48 PM

I was excited before, now I'm extra excited!

maii 26-12-2023 05:49 PM

Hell all ... I (think) I feel a little better despite a rough day and poor nights sleep and yesterday was hell but here I am and I'm also glad to be here with you and I feel (somewhat) stable - so I'll take it.

Ahimsa 26-12-2023 05:54 PM

Hi all!!

I fell asleep and now I can't go for a walk because it's dark! :(

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 06:07 PM

Oh no beth!
Did you have a good sleep though?

Ahimsa 26-12-2023 06:34 PM

not really, I've woken up sad and overwhelmed and wishing I was "normal"

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 07:22 PM

That's not good
I can relate to the wishing i was normal thing
It sucks

long road 26-12-2023 07:27 PM

That sucks Beth.

I have just woken up from a nap myself. Spasms have calmed down but breathing is still playing up a bit.

Partner is just reheating some homemade Bolognese that we got out of the freezer to defrost this morning, having it with pasta and cheese.

That sounds super exciting Beckie! Let me know if you want any Rome tops by the way as I have been there twice.

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 07:34 PM

Bolognase is a top tier meal!

Rome tips are appreciated! Your vienna ones were awesome!
So far we have the colesseum and forum booked, and ancient rome riding tour.
Struggling to find tickets for the sistine chapel and vatican museums. I have looked on literally every site!

I know, I just want a diagnosis, you know? Like, I know I'm going to be forever single because I don't understand relationships, those I have had have never been "good", and I completely lose interest once the dopamine has gone after a few months - and when I'm with my friends and their partner who are all married, I know thats not something I was ever meant for and I'm so isolated from it.

I also hate the thought I'm 30, I'm single, if I'm not at work I go days without a single conversation, like if I didn't have the quiz and going to get my piercing done tomorrow, I know for a fact I wouldn't have a conversation until I see my friend Thursday night. My bad days, there is no one to make food for me or a cup of tea, there's just me. I'm so lonely, but yet I don't know how to be with people?

In positive news, I got another task done, I got dressed, and I'm making Asda veggie meatballs and tomato pasta for dinner.

LR sounds like we're having similar!!!

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 08:01 PM

I wish i had some advice beth
I can kind of understand, because i used to live a very similar way, and i remember how lonely it can be.

Hope you enjoy your dinner!

Ahimsa 26-12-2023 08:03 PM

Don't worry Beckie, I know its hard and there is no advice to give really

How're you doing?

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 08:07 PM

I'm ok thanks. Just been a chilled day.
Getting excited for rome now! We go on friday!

Ahimsa 26-12-2023 08:22 PM

Oh that soon, how exciting!! (sorry I didn't see it was a new year thing)

tamobhuuta 26-12-2023 08:23 PM

Sorry people are struggling.

I watched Home Alone for the first time!

Ahimsa 26-12-2023 08:27 PM

was it good Tamo?

I don't have the attention span for films so I don't watch them

Cacoethes 26-12-2023 08:47 PM

Yep, very soon now!
Hopefully me and L don't decide we actually hate each other after the 4 days XD

Home alone is decent!

I don't have the attention span for films either. Or tv shows. Not without doing multiple things at the same time XD

tamobhuuta 26-12-2023 08:58 PM

It was fun, and not too long.

Thank you, tomo; and home alone is awesome.

has to be something I've already watched to keep my short attention span. I know that all too well.

maii 27-12-2023 12:25 AM

I'm glad the Spasms (at least) have let up but sorry your still having breathing issues; LR

Cacoethes 27-12-2023 05:32 AM

Morning everyone!

nonperson 27-12-2023 08:44 AM

Morning all.

How's everyone?

I have a day of cleaning ahead of me, yay...

Cacoethes 27-12-2023 08:46 AM

Morning np!
I'm ok thanks!
You?

Oh no! That is not a fun way to spend the day!

nonperson 27-12-2023 09:12 AM

I'm ok ish. A bit tearful and tired but ok.

I've got to get the house ready for my sister coming to stay for a few days. But I've got all day and tomorrow morning and the house isn't the pigsty it usually is so it won't be too bad.

Up to anything today?

Cacoethes 27-12-2023 09:17 AM

Hopefully the day will improve as it goes on

That's not too bad, you can split it up a bit if need be!

Not really. Me and L are gonna go to tesco to get some euros, that's about it!
Might pop to aldi for more fake coke.

nonperson 27-12-2023 09:39 AM

Yeah I'm just gonna take my time.

Picking up currency is always a bit exciting though. =)

long road 27-12-2023 09:43 AM

My asthma has been pretty bad recently Maii so it's kind of normal. But thanks for your kind words.

Morning Beckie and NP!

I have been awake for nearly an hour but not made it out of bed yet. Just about to try and sort breakfast and things.

Cacoethes 27-12-2023 10:00 AM

It is pretty exciting tbh!

Morning jen!

Good luck with making breakfast etc!

nonperson 27-12-2023 10:05 AM

What's for breakfast, Jen?

long road 27-12-2023 10:48 AM

I had weetabix with warm milk and banana. Been a very slow morning for me so far, just done meds and about to make coffee.

It's proper blusterous down here in the South West this morning

Cacoethes 27-12-2023 11:02 AM

Nice breakfast!

Pretty windy here too. Was chucking it down this morning too!
Just been to aldi. It was dead!
All the salad and herbs were 30% off, so stocked up for the piggos!

nonperson 27-12-2023 11:04 AM

I think the wind's going to get worse here this afternoon =/

I have cleaned the sofa! Now time for some dusting... =P

Cacoethes 27-12-2023 11:37 AM

Oh dear!
Luckily, i don't have to go out again after tesco. And I'm being driven there so won't be too bad.

Well done np!

nonperson 27-12-2023 11:51 AM

If I decide to go out (also to Tesco) I'll be in a car too.

Cacoethes 27-12-2023 11:59 AM

Tesco ftw!
I don't usually go to tesco, there isn't one near me, but i vibe with tesco more than other supermarkets!
Potentially nostalgia for being a drunk 15 year old and going to the 24 hour tesco to ride the skateboards in the aisles. They must have loved us rocking up at 3am XD

one_step_closer 27-12-2023 12:17 PM

Morning everyone.

Good luck with your cleaning, NP. Do you listen to music to make it a bit less dull?

Sounds like you've been doing a tour of all the supermarkets recently, Beckie!

Hope you can have a nice day, Jen. It's really stormy here too.
