Cpt_Stunning 28-02-2018 05:58 PM

Storm Emma is meant to be hitting Devon & Cornwall this afternoon. Nothing's happened so far.

Cpt_Stunning 28-02-2018 06:00 PM

Got it wrong, it's tomorrow afternoon.

not_so_insig 28-02-2018 06:00 PM

It's supposed to snow really bad here on Friday.

Sketchy 28-02-2018 06:02 PM

I hope you stay safe and warm Dawn.

not_so_insig 28-02-2018 06:06 PM

Apart from putting my recycling box out I don't plan to go out today. It's too cold!

Aubergine 28-02-2018 06:12 PM

We're supposed to get "light snow" tomorrow and Friday. It's been years since we've had anything (being south a coastal.)

Stay safe, Dawn!

Hey Chris. How're you?

nonperson 28-02-2018 06:14 PM

Does someone want to make soup for me?

Too lazy/tired/cat on lap to do it myself. =)

Cpt_Stunning 28-02-2018 06:19 PM

I'm OK, just reading about what 19th century diners used to eat, not as picky as us.

zombiehunter 28-02-2018 06:20 PM

people in the 18th century uses to eat pigs arses *nods*

Aubergine 28-02-2018 06:26 PM

I can't even be bothered to make my own dinner, Person. :P How are you other than needing to make soup?

Mmm. Delicious. :P

nonperson 28-02-2018 06:28 PM

Hmm... I'm tempted to shove something in the oven but really really should make soup. Cat's gone now though so technically I can get up, hah.

I'm ok, so cold and tired... Saw puppydog at lunch time today though so that was nice. =)

How're you, Aubergine?

Aubergine 28-02-2018 06:39 PM

I hope you manage to make your soup, but if not try not to get cross with yourself. It's OK to have freezer food!

Aww yay for puppydog. Is that your puppydog? Not warmed up from work yet?

Yeah, alright thanks.

nonperson 28-02-2018 06:43 PM

But soup is healthy and I have nice bread to go with it... Just effort. =/

Yus, my puppydog. =) And yeah, I thought I'd left my heating on today (for the cat) but didn't and it was 11 degrees in here when I got home! Slowly warming up now though.

nonperson 28-02-2018 06:45 PM

Right. Going to make soup. Back later...!

Aubergine 28-02-2018 06:47 PM

See you later!

Buttons. 28-02-2018 06:52 PM

Hope you enjoy making your soup-what kind are you making Np?

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 07:21 PM

I'm finally doing my homework that I've had literal weeks to do :p

zombiehunter 28-02-2018 07:23 PM

hi coco

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 07:25 PM

Hey zombie

Buttons. 28-02-2018 07:32 PM

Well done on doing the homework Beckie.

I'm watching old QIs and googling how Stephen Fry does some of his illusions-clearly equally productive :P

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 07:33 PM

Thanks!

Stephen Fry is awesome!
I was so gutted to hear he has cancer :(

Aubergine 28-02-2018 07:34 PM

Well done, Beckie! You're a superstar!

Hehe! I bet that's really interesting though, Buttons.

You up to much, Zombie?

I'm really tired!

zombiehunter 28-02-2018 07:47 PM

i'm eating my dinner and watching a documentary about the history of japan :-D

chinahorse 28-02-2018 07:55 PM

What're you eating?

I'm cooking mine after rearranging my living room to accommodate my new armchair. And have done some other jobs I've been putting off for ages.

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 07:58 PM

Sounds interesting zombie!

Well done for getting stuff done Lillie!

I think from his video the surgery and so on has been successful and he is currently doing okay. Still scary though-a world without Stephen Fry?????

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:02 PM

What's dinner, Zombie?

You've been super productive, Lille! Great stuff. :)

Up to much, Beckie?

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:02 PM

Poor Stephen.:(

zombiehunter 28-02-2018 08:02 PM

I had some of my home made chilli with pork added to it and rice :-D

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:06 PM

Pork? I did not know you could add pork to chilli! Sounds interesting and quite nice!

My usual carrot, leek and potato, but it's sweet potato this time. Wouldn't say I enjoyed making it but it's done. =)

zombiehunter 28-02-2018 08:08 PM

when I'm making chilli I use a mix of beef mince and pork mince.

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:09 PM

Sounds good, Person. Well done for making it! Tasty?

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:09 PM

Ohhhh I see, Zombie. sounds delicious!

nonperson 28-02-2018 08:09 PM

Dunno yet, it's still cooking away. But probably.

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:11 PM

Carrot and coriander is my favourite soup! With crusty bread. :) What special bread did you get?

nonperson 28-02-2018 08:14 PM

It's maple and pecan that my friend made for me. =) Not as sweet as it sounds but so yum.

zombiehunter 28-02-2018 08:15 PM

the best soup ever was the scotch broth my granda used to make :-(

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:19 PM

Bread sounds lovely, Person! That was kind of your friend to make some for you. :) Friends are great. :)

Aww Zombie! I understand. My Nan used to make amazing stew and dumplings. I've tried to recreate it, but it never tastes the same!

Buttons. 28-02-2018 08:23 PM

I love my grandma's apple and celery soup-sounds odd, tastes epic :)

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:26 PM

Sounds rather lovely, Buttons!

I find tomato soup and bread on butter to be the ultimate comfort food. :P

Buttons. 28-02-2018 08:31 PM

I concur Emma! Especially crusty freshly baked bread with butter.

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:33 PM

Ooo warm bread with butter. <3

Hehe, my name's not Emma. :P Unless you'd like to gave me a nickname. ;)

Cacoethes 28-02-2018 08:35 PM

I had carrot and lentil soup tonight!
Yay soup!

Buttons. 28-02-2018 08:40 PM

Damnit, why do I keep doing that?? I am aware that Pomegranate is Emma and you are not but somehow my brain insists on calling you Emma! Maybe I should start mixing up everyone's names just to cause utter confusion :P

nonperson 28-02-2018 08:40 PM

My soup was disappointing. =(

Think it was the sweet potato. I've got loads of it now...

not_so_insig 28-02-2018 08:44 PM

I had sausages, roasted potatoes and onions plus spring greens. I got to use my new pan.

nonperson 28-02-2018 08:45 PM

That sounds like a great dinner!

Aubergine 28-02-2018 08:45 PM

Hehe Buttons! Or we could all be called Emma, like that Dave Gorman programme that aired years ago!

Oh no, Person. :( Is there anyone you can share it with?

nonperson 28-02-2018 08:46 PM

It's not nice enough to share with anyone. I'll have to eat it cos I need the veggie goodness.
