Good morning all :)

I slept for 11.5 hours and I'm no longer in a stupid amount of pain which is positive. Still very tired though and I have to go and do the work thing :/

Cacoethes 27-01-2018 11:17 AM

Morning Lillie!

That is excellent news about the pain!
Sucks about working though :(

Aubergine 27-01-2018 11:23 AM

MORNING!

I was awake before 10am. On a Saturday. :'(

I'm glad you slept well, Lillie. Great that you're not in as much pain. :)

Cacoethes 27-01-2018 11:34 AM

Ah that's annoying Aubergine! :(

Aubergine 27-01-2018 11:36 AM

I know! My own fault though. I had a small bottle of pepsi last night and I haven't had caffeine for a long time and it made me very awake. Never mind. I am not doing anything today. How are you?

Cacoethes 27-01-2018 11:40 AM

Ah yeah, that'll do it!
It's good to have a nothing day sometimes!

I drink so much caffeine I'm pretty sure I'm immune to it's effects now.

Im ok. Going to see the fam today :)

Aubergine 27-01-2018 11:46 AM

Oh nice! I hope you have a lovely time. What are you doing with them?

I usually have a nothing day on a Saturday. :)

Cacoethes 27-01-2018 11:51 AM

Thanks :)
Nothing planned. We'll just see how it goes!

That's good!

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:15 PM

Sounds good! Sometimes just chilling with people is nice. :)

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 12:19 PM

Morning. Chilled days sound good :-)

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:27 PM

Hey Emma! Nice to see you. :)

Cacoethes 27-01-2018 01:38 PM

Hi Emma!
How be you?

Aubergine 27-01-2018 01:41 PM

I can get Spotify for £4.99 a month and it comes with free Headspace! I currently pay £9.99 a month just for spotify...

Cacoethes 27-01-2018 02:04 PM

Ooo thats a good deal!

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 02:06 PM

Meh lol Becky. Just started my two hour commute to work. Waiting at first train station now. How are you?

Aubergine 27-01-2018 02:08 PM

Do you have a student email account with college, Beckie? Or still have one with the OU? If you do, you can get it too through UNiDAYS! Free to join up.

Two hours to work is rubbish, Emma. Come work at my hospital and live down my road! It's only a short walk away!

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 02:10 PM

It’s 40minute drive normally. This is the first time I’ve done it on public transport. It’s bloody freezing. Left my coat in my car :-(

Aubergine 27-01-2018 02:13 PM

Oh no. :( *sends warm thoughts*

It's grey and raining here.

nonperson 27-01-2018 03:02 PM

Morning all.

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 03:12 PM

Morning person

nonperson 27-01-2018 03:14 PM

Howdy neighbour.

You doing alright? Got much further to go on the train?

Cpt_Stunning 27-01-2018 03:23 PM

Hi there

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 03:25 PM

Hi :-)

Got 20 mins left of this train and then a half an hour walk!

nonperson 27-01-2018 03:28 PM

Wow, quite a journey.

Hi Cpt.

Cpt_Stunning 27-01-2018 03:28 PM

Hi, how's it going?

nonperson 27-01-2018 03:38 PM

Alright, trying to work up some motivation to go do things away from my sofa!

How're you?

Cpt_Stunning 27-01-2018 03:44 PM

I'm OK, booked a trip to Germany today, for September, never been there before, Berlin & Dresden

nonperson 27-01-2018 03:44 PM

Cool. I've never been there either.

Cpt_Stunning 27-01-2018 03:50 PM

I don't really have a favourite place in the world that I'd like to go to, used to be Japan, but that's really busy & expensive.

nonperson 27-01-2018 04:07 PM

I like Florida =)

Aubergine 27-01-2018 04:12 PM

I loved Berlin when I went. :)

Cpt_Stunning 27-01-2018 04:14 PM

thanks, I can't wait to go there,

Aubergine 27-01-2018 04:47 PM

How long are you there for? Do you know what you want to see? We went to see all sorts! There is so, so much history there, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Cpt_Stunning 27-01-2018 05:18 PM

I'm there for 4 nights, Berlin, Dresden, Meissen & Colditz, booked it with a company called Riviera, staying in Berlin Maritim hotel, I'm going as a solo traveller with other solo travellers, because Riviera can do that. They'll organise the coach trips & all that.

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 05:26 PM

That sounds awesome. Berlin is really interesting and Dresden is so pretty! Sure you’ll have a fab time!

Aubergine 27-01-2018 05:39 PM

Sounds great!

We went in February and it was VERY cold. Amazing though. I was fascinated the whole time, and the people were friendly and helpful. I went with someone who's bilingual and can speak German, but everyone I met there was happy to speak English to me as I don't really speak a single word of German!

nonperson 27-01-2018 06:33 PM

Hi.

My car is now white again!

Aubergine 27-01-2018 06:34 PM

Yay! Well done! :)

nonperson 27-01-2018 06:38 PM

It stopped raining so I had to rinse it off properly so it took longer, but it's done.

Phew. Rewarding myself with a mug cake. =)

Also just got a weird 404 error when trying to view the forums, hope it's not breaking...

Aubergine 27-01-2018 06:49 PM

Glad it's done. You did well. :)

Mug cake sounds good! What kind? I have no flour! :O

Hmm. I get those occasionally, and have done for forever. It's always come back once I've refreshed the page, so I'm sure it's OK. :)

nonperson 27-01-2018 06:51 PM

Chocolate Nutella mugcake, as always. =)

Just paranoid that it's the beginning of the end! That's what happened on Psyke because no one was maintaining the forum any more... started getting all sorts of odd errors and then finally it gave up completely. =(

Aubergine 27-01-2018 06:57 PM

Nice! :D

What your recipe?

I can understand that, especially if it's happened before. Do you have friends from the other forums that you keep in touch with? I have three people from here on my Facebook, but they're very special! Don't know if I'd ever see people again if a forum implosion happened.

nonperson 27-01-2018 07:02 PM

I've only kept in touch with one person who comes here too. =) Yeah it was quite sad, think about the people quite often especially lately. It was a nice community.

2 tbsp butter
40g dark chocolate
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp self raising flour
1 tbsp nutella

Melt chocolate and butter together, add milk and egg, mix well. Add flour and sugar (I sometimes substitute with sweetener but it's never as good), mix well, float spoon of nutella on top and microwave for 1 min 50 seconds. Then I top it with some more nutella or choc chips.

There's an egg-free recipe which is nice too, actually I think I prefer that one. Seem to be able to make that one better lately.

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 07:02 PM

Well done person! Mug cake sounds epic :-)

nonperson 27-01-2018 07:03 PM

It was epic! A bit stodgy but that didn't matter. >.>

Aubergine 27-01-2018 07:06 PM

I love stodgy cake!

Emma! How're you getting on?

Someone tell me to move from sitting from my bed and go sit in my hammock in my living room. You know, like you're supposed to do in the day time...

nonperson 27-01-2018 07:13 PM

You know how comfy your hammock is, you'd be much happier there! Go now. GO.

Also, do you want my cat?

Eska 27-01-2018 07:26 PM

Evening everyone :)

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 07:33 PM

Hi everyone. I’m sitting in a car park outside a church in the rain waiting to volunteer at a Burns’ supper.

I’m telling myself I’m going to enjoy it and have a great time.

nonperson 27-01-2018 07:38 PM

Hi Eska. How're you?

Hi FreeAtLast - it won't be as bad as you think. I'm sure you'll have a nice time.
