Sketchy 27-01-2018 12:15 AM

I’m off to bed now. Goodnight to you all and I hope you all have sweet dreams.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:16 AM

Night night, Lorraine. Sleep well. =)

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:17 AM

Goodnight, Sketchy. Sleep well and thanks for listening to me. Take care!

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:18 AM

A guy from my course at uni just emailed me the pdf files from his classes last semester. I don't want to have a whole year away from theology articles. He's a good soul.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:18 AM

ONE OF US, ONE OF US, ONE OF US! (Aren't you pleased, Person? :P)

Night night, Lorraine. I hope you have lovely dreams. :)

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:19 AM

Paloma Faith is an oddball.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:20 AM

That song was awful.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:21 AM

So is the dress and the hair.

Ha, yes. That did go through my mind as well! One of us...

I am genuinely pleased. Everyone's been very nice and welcoming and I came here because I missed being part of a community (and the forum I used to be on isn't even accessible any more...) and I can be painfully shy, even online, so... thanks everyone. =)

I've been doing a lot of smiley faces this evening. Here's another... =)

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:23 AM

Awwww nonperson, you are just supercute. I have Asperger's so I know what you're meaning. :0)

:x)

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:24 AM

Not that I'm accusing you of being autistic. :D

Pomegranate 27-01-2018 12:24 AM

Awwww that’s sweet person.
Mgoodnight Lorraine.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:24 AM

I like some of her music? Is she on Graham Norton?

I have a lot of friends that have studied theology, FreeAtLast. :)

Are you feeling smiley, Person? You've really come out of yourself on here. I'm really pleased that you are here.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:25 AM

My brother has just messaged me and he's on his way over in a taxi. I knew I shouldn't have spoken about him never being here, he's probably drunk into the bargain.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:26 AM

I'm not autistic but do struggle with social stuff quite a lot.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:28 AM

She was on Graham Norton, it just finished. What do we all watch now?

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:29 AM

Yeah, Paloma Faith was on Graham Norton doing here new song. I think she's weird but I kinda like her because she knows she's weird and doesn't care! I think she was on Buzzcocks (or similar show) once and was really funny too.

I'm particularly hyper tonight, since I got home from work. Not sure why! I'm pleased it's the weekend but that doesn't usually make me smiley. Dunno. Just gonna enjoy it while it lasts because smiling has been an unusual thing for me lately.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:29 AM

I used to have really bad social anxiety, now that I'm medicated I'm much better. I just need to stop the illicit drugs and I'll be right as rain.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:30 AM

I'm not on the spectrum either, but also find social stuff tricky. Though really, it depends how I am feeling. I really like people and can be bubbly and outgoing, but it's draining. I'm an introvert, as I get my energy from time alone, but I do enjoy social time so long as it's only 1:1 or in a very small group. :) I also like my time alone though, and will be spending tomorrow completely silent. :D

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:30 AM

QI is on Dave. With our lovely Stephen.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:30 AM

*flips channels...*

Think my cat might have been licking my shepherd's pie cos he jumped down from the work top and I've left it up there to cool! Nooo.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:31 AM

I'm glad you're enjoying being smiley. :) We like you whether you're smiley or not smiley, but it's nice that you're feeling like it. :)

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:31 AM

Noooo. Naughty cat! Though if he's going spare, send him this way...

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:32 AM

Big Bang, E4!

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:33 AM

I'm not near my TV! Argh!

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:33 AM

I can hire him out, he's super cuddling but he's not spare!

(Drives me spare sometimes...)

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:34 AM

I'll hire him. Show my landlord cats are awesome. Then you can have him back and I can get an oldie cat from a rescue centre and stroke it forever. <3

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:34 AM

Oh I can't stand the Big Bang Theory.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:35 AM

Oooh, FreeAtLast... harsh words.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:35 AM

I love Big Bang! I've watched them so many times it's like having friends in my flat.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:35 AM

Oh one of my favourite movies is on Sony +1 - Arlington Road.

On the subject of cats, I want one. When I was psychotic I was going to "rescue" one and bring it home. One day I'll have a flat and a cat.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:35 AM

My cat officially has the title "Best Cat In The World" so he's a perfect example to show your landlord.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:36 AM

You need a house and a cat so it can go in the garden.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:36 AM

My guilty pleasure is Gogglebox. And wanting to adopt stray cats.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:38 AM

I've seen a little bit of Gogglebox. It's often on when I wake up on the sofa at random o'clock at night... Not sure what I think of it.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:39 AM

My brother and his boyfriend are here. I'll be back soon.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:39 AM

My guilty pleasure is The Apprentice! I don't watch much else on actual TV. It's all Netflix and Amazon Video. :)

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:43 AM

I'm now hiding in my bedroom out the way, he can tell I'm wrecked by looking at my eyes. Oh well.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:45 AM

I don't know why I take drugs because I always regret it. I'm now counting down the hours until I need to be at church, I need to be sober for going.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:45 AM

Gogglebox is a couple of intelligent people in amongst some of the thickest people in Britain.

nonperson 27-01-2018 12:50 AM

That's the same principle for anything that's bad for you/us... Whatever it is always seems like a good idea at the time.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:51 AM

I hope you're sober for church. :) Though we have people in all sorts of "states" in our church services. Church is not for perfect people.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:52 AM

It's turning me into a recluse, I don't want to spend time with even my own brother. I convince myself it makes me sociable and I get loads done. I've done nothing since I got in from work except post on this forum. There's nothing I can do now, just wait until it wears off.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:54 AM

If you post on the forum, FreeAtLast, you might get some people respond who have experience similar. It can help to have good connections with other people going through the same thing. I hope it wears off soon. *hug*

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:54 AM

I'm the worst Christian I know. I was wrecked this morning before I went to work and contacted a friend from my old church and volunteered to help. It's not until 6:30pm tomorrow but I'm still wired now. Everyone at church is well aware of my drug problem, I was baptised there a year ago and had my faith seriously tested. It's only a Burns' Supper, I'll spend the night working in the kitchen.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 12:55 AM

I never thought of doing that. I've been replying to posts from months ago and mainly posting about my psychotic episode. My habit is a whole other issue.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 12:59 AM

I often think that about my Christian journey. The whole "I'm the worst Christian I know" thing. Truth is, we're all crap Christians. :P That's the whole point! I was baptised at my church a good few years ago now. :) Burns' Supper sounds good, as does working in the kitchen! I hope it's fabulous and that you manage and get joy from serving, even if it's hard.

Cheryl88 27-01-2018 01:03 AM

Everything was going well at church until I realised that they're too 'evangelical'. I have very different views on Scripture. Do I believe it's the Word of God? Yes. Should be interpreted literally? No. One day the pastor said in front of the entire congregation that infant baptism is wrong and that gay people will be "judged" for their sin.

I love the people but I can't be a part of that type of church so I'm just going to the social events. I joined the Scottish Episcopal church because they allow gay marriage and their theology is more in line with my own views.

Aubergine 27-01-2018 01:06 AM

I think my views are probably in line with yours. :) Bit uncomfortable discussing my faith here too much, because some people find it difficult, but happy to carry on via PM. :)

nonperson 27-01-2018 01:08 AM

I actually find it kind of interesting.
