Night night Lorraine. :)

Hey Masika. Glad to hear you're doing better now. Christmas was nice thanks. Spent it with family and friends. :) No new years resolutions. I guess my plan for 2018 is to just keep plodding on. :) How about you?

Aubergine 13-01-2018 12:23 AM

Right, book me a place at the table. :P

I went for coffee with my Uncle after work today. Saw someone I went to sixth form with. Hadn't seen him for 12 years! He came over and gave me a hug and chatted for about 10 minutes, then he gave me his email address and said it'd be nice to keep in touch. So that was nice. He's a nice chap; we were quite good friends back in the day. :)

nonperson 13-01-2018 12:28 AM

Awesome. Space saved, booked in for whenever I wake up tomorrow. Just a warning - if you don't turn up I will eat your portion myself.

That is nice of him! Do you think you'll keep in touch now?

Aubergine 13-01-2018 12:48 AM

:O You mean you won't deliver it to me if I feel like I can't be bothered to leave the house?!

Yeah, I hope so. Even if it's just by email. It's nice to have someone else to have a bit of a laugh with.

nonperson 13-01-2018 12:56 AM

Well I could deliver, I suppose! It would be cold though and I can't guarantee it'll all still be there when I arrive, ha!

Aubergine 13-01-2018 12:57 AM

Haha! It's OK. I am going to have avocado on toast. :D

nonperson 13-01-2018 01:03 AM

Excuse me if I go BLEUGH.

Aubergine 13-01-2018 01:07 AM

Rude!

nonperson 13-01-2018 01:07 AM

No... Truthful!

Aubergine 13-01-2018 01:09 AM

:plain:

nonperson 13-01-2018 01:12 AM

Clearly what I meant to say was.... "lovely, what a healthy treat!" :ermm:

nonperson 13-01-2018 01:15 AM

I don't think I've ever actually tried avocado.

I entered 2018 sick so I think that's a sign that I shouldn't be making any resolutions and just go with the flow. Christmas was nice but I wish we got snow!

nonperson 13-01-2018 01:49 AM

Surely it can only get better from now on, Masika?

Quote for truth!

I'm just trying to persuade my dog that 5 something in the morning is not the time for playing with her favourite toy :P

Aubergine 13-01-2018 07:39 AM

Why am I awake? I never see this time on a Saturday!

Buttons. 13-01-2018 08:02 AM

Ha ha sucks to be you :P I'm almost always awake. How you doing?

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 12:03 PM

Morning guys

chinahorse 13-01-2018 12:55 PM

Hola!!
I've not even been out the house yet and my hair has sniffed out the moisture and is growing fuffier by the second. Send help!

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 01:28 PM

Hey Lillie
Oh no!
Have you got a hat you can hide under?

Sketchy 13-01-2018 03:17 PM

Good afternoon all.

Hope you are all well.

I’ve been lazy so far, but I’m going to Asda later. Just heating up in front of the fire in my rocking chair like an old woman!

Cpt_Stunning 13-01-2018 03:26 PM

Good afternoon, I'm OK, dad came around at 8am got me out doing stuff, been to Morrison's.

Sketchy 13-01-2018 03:34 PM

Did you get anything nice from Morrisons? I hope to get veggie sausages and mash from Asda.

Cpt_Stunning 13-01-2018 03:37 PM

Just stuff I needed, nothing special. Sausage & mash is really nice.

Sketchy 13-01-2018 03:38 PM

Yeh it’s comfort food.

I’m having a fruit tea just now.

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 04:09 PM

Hey guys
I'm trying to do some work but my brain is not cooperating!
I know what I need to write but can't put it into words.
I need to get on with it though

Sketchy 13-01-2018 04:10 PM

Take regular breaks Beckie. I find that helps. Could you start by writing some prompts down, bullet points?

nonperson 13-01-2018 04:15 PM

I might also take a trip to Asda today. Been to Tesco too much lately.

Hi all.

Sketchy 13-01-2018 04:17 PM

Hi Nonperson.

It seems Asda is the place to be today. I’m procrastinating. I should get ready to go, but it’s warm in here and cold out there!

nonperson 13-01-2018 04:24 PM

I'll go much later once I'm showered and it's quieter in the store.

Need to make a phone call first... x.x

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 05:06 PM

Hi, hi.

How's everyone getting on with their tasks?

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 05:14 PM

Have given up with essay.
I just cant get my head around it

How about You?

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 05:19 PM

Do you still have plenty of time before it's due in? What are you getting up to now?

I'm not really doing much. Signed up for a free trial of Kindle Unlimited but finding it hard to get into a book.

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 05:24 PM

Its due in on the 22nd.
Still got another 1500ish words to go.

What's the book about?

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 05:30 PM

Is that a do-able timescale?

I started reading a book about BPD and got bored, now trying one about something that is going on with someones neighbours (a thriller). Haven't read a lot of it so not sure what it's about exactly.

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 05:41 PM

Yeah I think so.
Once I get going im usually ok but its just getting started

Ah ok.
I like thriller type books

Sketchy 13-01-2018 05:47 PM

Hello all.

I hope the book is good Lindsay.

Beckie, you’ll get it done.

I’m just home from Asda. I got stuff to make veggie sausages and mash, so I’m looking forward to that.

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 06:11 PM

Hi Lorraine
Hope you enjoy your dinner when you have it!

Casualty is on at 8:25 tonight I believe!

Sketchy 13-01-2018 06:14 PM

Thanks.

Good. I prefer it when it’s on earlier.

I think I’ll do a bit of housework, then put my dinner on. Getting hungry.

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 06:18 PM

Good plan

Im going to do dinner now I think
Really hungry!

Sketchy 13-01-2018 06:28 PM

I’ve put my dinner on too. Very hungry. I’ve been craving this since yesterday, so it should be good.

Eska 13-01-2018 06:36 PM

I just had my lunch (I didn't have time for a break in work until late enough that it made more sense to finish early)! So now I'm full.

Lorraine I hope you enjoy your dinner, it sounds tasty!

Beckie, I'm sending you positive writing thoughts!

Lindsay, I hope you enjoy your book :)

Sketchy 13-01-2018 06:41 PM

Hey Eska. How are you?

Cacoethes 13-01-2018 06:42 PM

Hi eska!

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 07:03 PM

Eska, the important question that you haven't answered is what did you have for lunch?

I got a Chinese ready meal from Tesco which had noodles, rice, chicken curry, and sweet and sour chicken in small portions. The curry was just two tiny pieces of chicken drowned in sauce! Was nice enough though.

Sketchy 13-01-2018 07:15 PM

Hope you enjoyed it Lindsay despite the lack of chicken.

My dinner is yummy.

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 07:16 PM

Glad you're enjoying your dinner Lorraine. Do you ever have a pudding?

Sketchy 13-01-2018 07:20 PM

No, I’m trying to be healthy. I have chocolates from Christmas though that I save for treat days.

Did you have a pudding? I would love apple pie right now!

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 07:22 PM

I never have pudding but I have unhealthy snacks every day. So bad. Either chocolate or crisps or both. Had a couple of topic bars today. Apple pie is so good. Are you vegan or do you like to have ice cream/cream with it?

one_step_closer 13-01-2018 07:25 PM

I'm just imagining how impossible it would be to keep up with this thread back in the very active RYL days.
