Cacoethes 06-01-2018 11:37 AM

Didn't get to sleep until about 3!
Sleepy!
Going to see the family today and we're going to see my nanny :)

Morning eska!
Hope you have a good day at work.
It is rather chilly!

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 01:20 PM

Afternoon.

I hope you didn't have to wait in the cold for your train for too long Eska. I am hiding from the cold as much as possible.

Hope you have a nice day Beckie and manage to have a better sleep tonight.

not_so_insig 06-01-2018 01:28 PM

Afternoon all.

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 01:29 PM

Hi Dawn, how is your day going so far?

Cpt_Stunning 06-01-2018 05:12 PM

hi there

Aubergine 06-01-2018 06:34 PM

Hiya.

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 06:45 PM

Hi Chris and Aubergine, how are you both?

Aubergine 06-01-2018 06:55 PM

Hey Lindsay. How're you?

I'm listening to music. Just got in after sitting in Costa with a friend for two hours. It was really nice. She's so lovely. We just chatted about work and family and things, but it was great to get out of my head for a bit and take my mind off of things.

Cpt_Stunning 06-01-2018 06:56 PM

I'm OK thanks, enjoying a quite evening

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 07:10 PM

Glad you have a good friend, Aubergine. Hope you can meet up more or even just find other things to give you some relief and good feelings.

Glad you're ok Chris, quiet evenings can be good.

I'm a bit low but still breathing anyway! Watched a lot of Netflix today, mostly American Horror Story Roanoke.

Aubergine 06-01-2018 07:36 PM

I'm very glad that you're still breathing! :) Netflix sounds good. I've only seen Murder House from that programme. Really enjoyed it, but haven't seen any of the others. Is it good?

Quiet evening sounds good, Cpt. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Thanks, Lindsay. I'm really fortunate that I've got a few good friends. I hadn't seen L since November as we're never available at the same time! I'm helping out with the toddlers in children's church tomorrow and then Mum is coming round, then I will go to the evening church service at 7pm, so will be occupied then too.

I'm trying to decide what to have for dinner. Thinking chicken with something.

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 08:58 PM

Hey guys
Just back from my nannys.
Had a good day!
And fish and chips for tea. Jasmine and my sister had McDonald's.

How are you all?

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:01 PM

Aubergine, what did you decide to have to eat? Chicken is always good.

Glad you had a good day Beckie. Fish and chips are yum, so is mcdonalds. And most food!

I had some Birdseye steam bag pasta thingy which was pasta with broccoli and peas and cheese sauce.

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:03 PM

Hey everyone.

I’m just home from the cinema. I went to see the new Star Wars film. It was so good. Then my dad treated my sister and I to a meal in a Japanese restaurant.
Home now, done a tidy, showered, and in my onesie. All set for casualty!

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:04 PM

Sounds like a really nice day Lorraine, and still things to look forward to now you're home! You've been very productive.

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:07 PM

I have indeed thanks. And I’m sitting in my living room again instead of hiding in my bed.

How are you? How is everyone?

Who’s going to watch casualty?

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:11 PM

I find it much better to sit in my living room than staying in my bedroom. I think it helps to say that bed is for sleeping only. I know it can be easy to hide away though and bed can feel like a safe place. Glad you're managing to spend some time in your living room, hope it makes you feel better.

I'm not sure if I'm going to watch Casualty tonight or catch up tomorrow. Will have to make my mind up soon.

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:14 PM

I’m trying to do it so I sleep better. Plus my easel, paints and drawing things and sewing things are in the living room.

Aubergine 06-01-2018 09:16 PM

Hey Lorraine! I'm glad Star Wars was good. Meal sounds nice! You sound comfy. :)

You know, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sits in her bedroom even though there is a whole flat to use! Well, not glad that you guys do it too, but glad that it's not me being super weird or anything. Thanks for sharing!

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:18 PM

No, you’re not alone there Aubergine. I’m awful for hiding in my bedroom, even though I have a perfectly good living room all to myself!

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 09:19 PM

Food is great in general! Lol :p

That pasta thing sounds nice Lindsay.

That sounds lovely Lorraine.
I want to see that film.

I'm going to watch casualty but a bit later because i want to finish this episode of black mirror.

Me and my nanny were talking about casualty, especially about Rick, quite passionately and my mum and sister were just like...wtf? Because they dont watch it.

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:19 PM

I think you are both trying to carry on your teenage years as long as possible.

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:20 PM

That was directed at Aubergine and Lorraine!

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 09:20 PM

I always sit in my living room! The TV and the kitchen are down here.
Plus the whole sleep hygiene thing that you should only use the bedroom for sleeping

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:21 PM

What is Black Mirror even about? I think I may have watched a trailer for it.

I think I’m in denial about my age. Deep down I’m a teenager at heart!

Aubergine 06-01-2018 09:24 PM

Hehe Lindsay! You are probably right! :P

I know, Lorraine. I have a whole living room to myself too! It has a TV, a hammock, a beanbag, a sofa and a table and chairs in it. It's lovely and bright and airy and very comfortable, but of course I'd rather sit on my bed all day. :P

Hey Beckie! How are you? Hehe, sounds great seeing your Nanny. I don't watch Casualty either. Hospital programmes make me feel awkward, even though I work in one... There are not many programmes about hospital pharmacies on TV! I think pharmacy staff would just blow people's minds too much because of how cool we are. :D

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:24 PM

I’m trying to do that now Beckie. We’ll see if it helps my sleep and mood.

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:25 PM

I have a lovely big cushioned comfy rocking chair that I’m sitting on just now in my living room.

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:26 PM

I read Pills, Thrills, and Methadone Spills 1 and 2 by a pharmacist and then relayed it all to the pharmacist I go to to see if it was true!

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:27 PM

That sounds like the best chair ever Lorraine.

Don't think I'm going to be watching Casualty yet since I have a cat on my lap so can't get to the TV and don't really want to watch it on my laptop.

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:28 PM

At least you can always watch it on iPlayer.

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:29 PM

Yeah, so glad for catch up TV! I remember the trouble I used to get in when I forgot to video record Neighbours or Home and Away for my Mum!

Aubergine 06-01-2018 09:36 PM

That sounds like a great chair, Lorraine! I'm a bit jealous! This is like the hammock I have: https://target.scene7.com/is/image/T...=520&fmt=pjpeg

But mine hangs from a stand in my front room, not from a tree!

Oh I really want to read those books! Are they good? I'd imagine that most of it is true. I've seen and heard... Things. Lots of Things. What did your pharmacist think? I follow a few pharmacy meme things on Facebook and can relate to pretty much all of them. It's painful. :P

I do love my job really. :D

iPlayer is a wonderful thing!

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:37 PM

That hammock looks awesome!

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:39 PM

I can't imagine having a hammock in my living room! Is your living room quite big? I read the books a while ago so can't really remember. The only thing I remember the pharmacist saying was that his staff would be in big trouble if they spilt methadone.

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:40 PM

Lorraine, how are you concentrating on Casualty and posting here? Skills.

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 09:41 PM

Wow this thread is busy tonight!

Black mirror is hard to explain!
It is incredibly freaky and pretty messed up.
A lot of people dont make it past the first episode because that is probs the most f*cked up one.

They should totally make a series abour pharnacies :p

That hammock looks epic!

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:43 PM

You're brave watching freaky things at this time of night. Although I will probably watch some American Horror Story later.

A series about pharmacies would be funny! Did you ever watch Getting On, the comedy about an elderly ward?

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:44 PM

What can I say, I’m good at multitasking.

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 09:44 PM

Its not scary really.
I cant do horror things at all!
Its more a dystopian kind of thing?

I've heard of it but not seen it

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:49 PM

Lorraine I am going to quiz you about Casualty once I've seen it to see how well you have been paying attention. :-D

I'm not exactly sure what dystopian means...and I can't be bothered Googling! Getting On is on Netflix, it's kind of weird. I don't know if I like it or not but I watched the first two episodes. There's no music in it and the lighting is quite dull.

Sketchy 06-01-2018 09:52 PM

Hahaha I bet I pass!

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 09:55 PM

Confidence!

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 10:05 PM

Dystopian means relating to or denoting an imagined place or state in which everything is unpleasant or bad, typically a totalitarian or environmentally degraded one.
"the dystopian future of a society bereft of reason"

So things like 1984 by George Orwell and The Hunger games

one_step_closer 06-01-2018 10:06 PM

Oh. That doesn't sound very nice...

Aubergine 06-01-2018 10:10 PM

Dinner is finally on! Having chicken with a sweet chili marinade and some veg and rice and things. It smells really good! It sounds quite posh, but the chicken stuff all came in a packet you can put straight in the oven. Love a bit of Lidl!

There is an episode of a programme about a pharmacy on Amazon Video. It's called Vials. It's about a community pharmacy in America, so a bit different to what I'm used to, but it's still very relatable! Hehe Lindsay! My manager once smashed a bottle of methadone all over a pharmacy floor when she was in her last year of training. :D

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 10:14 PM

I know it sounds like something you shouldn't enjoy Lindsay because its not very nice! I like that sort of thing though for some reason

That sounds delicious Aubergine!

Oh no! I bet smashing that methadone incurred quite a bit of paperwork!!

Aubergine 06-01-2018 10:23 PM

It did! Though it was before the stuff with Harold Shipman happened, so the regulations weren't quite so tight back then. Still a pretty big headache for the responsible pharmacist though! We found an extra capsule of a controlled drug in a new bottle the other week. That was interesting!

Cacoethes 06-01-2018 10:39 PM

Must have been a nightmare!
How did an extra capsule get in?!
