it's not really cold here, no wind or rain, we don't have control over the heating, when it drops below a certain temperature, the heating comes on, dunno what that is though, the heating's not on, so not really cold.

Its been really windy here

It’s not windy here, just really cold. We’re supposed to get snow tomorrow, but it’s also going to rain tomorrow so not expecting it to be thick with snow.

They’ve been saying for a while that it’s going to snow, but it’s yet to happen. Or if it has there’s been no layer of snow.

there hasn't been heavy snow here since December 2010, I slipped up on Christmas eve, eye purple & closed over on Christmas Day, didn't feel as though I slipped & head hit the pavement, felt as though the pavement came up & hit my head, people got tissues for me & helped me. No grit or people with shovels clearing the snow when it did snow, because doesn't happen very often, then it turned to ice, I knew a woman who broke her hip.

I've still got the scar above my eye, I remember reading that the winter was going to be harsh, an Arctic Blast, or the newspapers called it 'The beast from the east'.

Where would you most like to live, I spent 3 months in Spain in 1996 working as a translator, possibly the best 3 months of my life, could've stayed longer but got really homesick.

The fam have a villa out there so they go a lot still

I don’t know where I’d like to live. I love living in Glasgow, and I like the area I’m in, but I wouldn’t mind somewhere a bit warmer. Not too hot though. I’m rubbish in hot weather too. No pleasing me!

That's really nice, the place I stayed was a city called La Coruna in the North West of Spain, been back there twice, been to a city called Santander in the North-East of Spain a few times on the ferry - 20 hours - but south of Spain's probably different, loads of ex-pats maybe.

Our villa is in the province of Alicante.
Lovely place in the mountains with a little village at the bottom of the mountain. Its not touristy at all which is nice.

We had a pool at the villa which is how i coped!

That sounds nice going to Spain regularly. I’ve never been before.

I’ve just filled my hot water bottles, so hopefully I’ll heat up soon.

I'm quite lucky, because the ferry port's about 2 miles away from me, with ferries going to France & Spain, I'll probably go to France next time for a bit, shorter ferry journey, got too sea-sick on my last visit to Spain.

The ferry to Spain is huge, I see all these cars waiting to get onto the ferry, that's the only way people can take their cars to Spain, & when I get to Spain I see them all drive off.

I’ve been to the north of France. It’s lovely. I was in jersey and we took a day trip to France.

It's getting late, really need to go downstairs & have dinner, bye.

When we were younger, we'd get the ferry to france and then drive through france to spain, stopping over to camp in various places along the way.
I miss our family holidays.

That sounds lovely Beckie. We never had many family holidays, although we are doing it now. I’m going to Amsterdam next year with my sister, Dad and uncle. I’m also going to Oban in March with my sister, so I’m lucky.
