Hope the appointment goes well Dawn :)

not_so_insig 16-11-2017 08:56 AM

Thanks Katy. I am not looking forward to it even though I am not sectionable.

Cacoethes 16-11-2017 09:36 AM

Morning guys
Got a lie in this morning but still so tired!

not_so_insig 16-11-2017 10:04 AM

Morning Beckie.

My mum says that she is going to take me to the hospital so I have even more time to kill now.

chinahorse 16-11-2017 10:17 AM

Morning.

So gutted I'm awake so early. It's day 5 of a 6 day stint at work so I'm shattered.

Buttons. 16-11-2017 11:49 AM

Glad you got a lie in Beckie!

Dawn it's understandable to be nervous, I still do went it's the psychiatrist because of memories of being sectioned even though I know I'm not sectionable. I'm glad your mum is taking you hopefully at least that will take the stress of travel off, however I do understand it being stressful to have time to kill, maybe watch a few Keeping up appearances or something else that lifts your mood but doesn't need too much concentration.

Aw Lillie I'm sorry you woke up so early! That's a fair few days to be in work on the trot no wonder you're shattered! Hope you manage to relax when you get back home.

I'm feeling much more positive now I've washed my hair had some good nights sleep and have my folder all organised for college-although I still don't feel quite able to face the last of the homework just yet. Might have another look in a few mins even if I just get notes down for now.

No one has turned up yet just for a pissing change. I wouldn't mind except I'm trying to plan in my head how to fit everything in, plus the company might help me get my head on enough to make a start on this wretched homework. It also means I can't walk my dog yet and given it looks like there'll only be patches when it's not raining today and she hates walking in the rain I wanted to take advantage of the few minutes it's dry now. I know the one who was scheduled is probably still off (she has a valid reason) they need to get more on the ball with replacing them and letting me know what time the replacement is supposed to show. *stops whinging* :P

Sketchy 16-11-2017 12:20 PM

I hope somebody turns up soon Katy.

I think I’m getting the cold again. I keep sneezing and my throat feels a bit sore.

How is everyone?

Eska 16-11-2017 01:12 PM

I’m ok. I’ve been for a (terrible) run and spent some time talking to my housemate.

Katy, I hope someone turns up soon!

Lorraine, I’m sorry you’re feeling ill :( Make sure you take care of yourself.

Dawn, how did the appointment go? I hope it was ok.

[Luna] 16-11-2017 01:15 PM

Good afternoon x

Eska 16-11-2017 01:19 PM

Hey Luna, how are you?

[Luna] 16-11-2017 01:22 PM

I'm ok, just got back from the chiropractor and feeling quite sore.
How are you?

Eska 16-11-2017 02:01 PM

Aw, I hope you feel better soon.

I’m ok, I want to go and have a shower but I’m waiting on a call back from the CMHT so I can’t.

not_so_insig 16-11-2017 02:11 PM

I was barely in the appointment. He just asked me what medication I am on, what I do during the week and if I was happy with the medication. He also asked when I last had bloods done and that's about it. He said see you in a year's time. It was a locum rather than my regular psych though. I had to wait for my nurse and tbh I had more time with her and a more in depth conversation with her than the bloody psych! I had trouble understanding him as he was foreign and didn't have a clear speech. I was glad to be out of there.

Cacoethes 16-11-2017 02:16 PM

Hey guys
Went to fracture clinic.
I have cracked a bone so I'll be wearing a splint for 4 weeks.
Glad i didnt need a cast though!
Most boring lesson ever next.
At least its the last one!

not_so_insig 16-11-2017 02:45 PM

There was a tv with fire safety video in the cmht. Trouble is that it was in Welsh and 4 times they showed it. The thing is that it had a smoke alarm going off. Each time it went off I jumped. It wasn't funny.

Sketchy 16-11-2017 03:24 PM

That’s a shame Beckie. Hope it heals up soon.

That sounds stressful Dawn.

Buttons. 16-11-2017 03:26 PM

That sounds very unnerving Dawn, I hate sudden loud noises. Glad the appointment itself wasn't too bad.

Sorry about the bone issue Beckie but glad you don't have to wear a cast.

Hope ultimately the chiropractor helps Luna.

Thanks everyone who hoped someone would turn up. They haven't but I've managed and got some homework done.

Sketchy 16-11-2017 03:29 PM

That’s good you got homework done Katy.

What’s everyone doing today?

I’m just back from staying over at my sister’s. Lying down for a while because I had a bad sleep. I’m going to have a chilled day and do some sewing for my writing groups Christmas. I’m steadily making progress.

Buttons. 16-11-2017 03:35 PM

Hope you enjoyed your time with your sister Lorraine. Hoping you have a good lie down and enjoy your sewing.

Sketchy 16-11-2017 03:36 PM

Thanks Katy. Yes I had a good time thanks.

[Luna] 16-11-2017 04:03 PM

Hey again guys

Sketchy 16-11-2017 04:04 PM

Hey Luna. How are you?

Buttons. 16-11-2017 04:04 PM

hey Luna :)

Sketchy 16-11-2017 04:05 PM

How are you Katy?

Luna I hope you are no longer sore. Are you feeling any better?

[Luna] 16-11-2017 04:08 PM

Not really. I'm lying on the sofa at the moment. I need to eat something but I feel a bit dazed.

How are you guys?

Sketchy 16-11-2017 04:10 PM

Maybe rest a wee bit then get something to eat. Hope you feel better soon.

I’m ok thanks.

Sketchy 16-11-2017 04:11 PM

I like your new signature.

Buttons. 16-11-2017 04:13 PM

I also like the signature.

Im okay thanks :)

[Luna] 16-11-2017 04:13 PM

Thank you. It's from the Calender girls. I was watching the film the other day.

Buttons. 16-11-2017 04:46 PM

I love Calender girls 'they'll need to get another sofa for the visitors of the visitors in the visiting room' or some such thing.

[Luna] 16-11-2017 04:52 PM

Yes!! lol. It's such a good film!

How are you doing Katy?

Buttons. 16-11-2017 05:03 PM

I'm going to have to dig that film out later now! I'm okay :) Bit frustrated no support worker came so that I could get dog out for a walk but things happen. Looking forward to going back to college tonight.

[Luna] 16-11-2017 05:05 PM

That's awful that no one turned up!

How's college going?

Buttons. 16-11-2017 05:17 PM

It's alright, stuff happens.

College is both great and not so great-just like life in general :P

[Luna] 16-11-2017 05:20 PM

Remind me what you're studying?

Buttons. 16-11-2017 05:23 PM

Counselling. this is level 2, intending to do level 3 in January if I pass the interview :S then level 4 is a full qualification similar to A levels (already have 4 A levels but never have too many qualifications!) and if I manage that I will only have to do a year at university to have a full counselling degree. I doubt I'll actually achieve all this, especially as I desperately want to get my qualification in sign language as I want to be able to counsel the deaf without an interpreter but everyone has to have pipe dreams :P

*stops rambling*

[Luna] 16-11-2017 05:25 PM

Ah that's awesome! I did Introduction to counselling last year but decided against moving on to level 2.

I believe you could totally achieve it!! What a wonderful aspiration as well.

Buttons. 16-11-2017 05:34 PM

Thankyou. I have a friend who is Deaf so know a little sign from her and her friends, she doesn't have MH problems or anything, but years ago I was on a psych ward with a lady was Deaf and None verbal and the nurses didn't understand she was signing I'm sad please help until I pointed it out. After that they used me as an interpreter because it can be so hard to Get an interpreter, and I know nowhere near enough sign to interpret effectively although I gave it my best shot. Made me think how awkward it must be to talk about difficult things with someone, let alone have to wait and hope for an interpreter.

[Luna] 16-11-2017 05:44 PM

Wow, it's incredible you could help her as much as you could. It must have given her a lifeline that she wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

Buttons. 16-11-2017 05:47 PM

Ha ha I don't know that I did much but I hope it helped :)

I'm going to have to go in a minute to put the dog in her crate for while I'm out so my house doesn't get destroyed while I'm out :P then leave for college. Hope everybody has a good evening <3

Cacoethes 16-11-2017 05:49 PM

Hey guyss

[Luna] 16-11-2017 05:50 PM

Hope college goes well lovely, good luck with putting the doggy in the crate!

[Luna] 16-11-2017 05:50 PM

Ninja Beckie, how are you?

Cacoethes 16-11-2017 05:55 PM

Tired!

How are you?

[Luna] 16-11-2017 05:56 PM

Same.

How was college?

Cacoethes 16-11-2017 05:59 PM

Not bad Thanks!
Although english is always sooooo boring and pointless.
Like we are learning essay planning and how to write an essay after we have already written 3 essays for other classes so it's like....why do we have to do this....

[Luna] 16-11-2017 06:01 PM

Urgh sounds tedious. I guess some people need more help to grasp things than others. I remember how bored I was with it with my access course too.

Cpt_Stunning 16-11-2017 06:08 PM

I really like the Korean short films I'm watching

[Luna] 16-11-2017 06:10 PM

That's cool! I don't think I've ever seen a Korean film. What are they about?

Cpt_Stunning 16-11-2017 06:17 PM

There's a lot of them, not just Korean but other Asian one's too, on a site called Viddsee, I'm glad I found it, Lifetime movies is a site that I like too - all American movies, I don't have a TV, there's a communal one downstairs, mostly being used, I do watch programs like Casualty on BBC I-Player, I only tend to watch the TV for an hour in the morning, when I'm having breakfast & no-one else is up.
