Good afternoon all. I've been sleeping most of the day so far. Going out later though.

I'm ripping some Japanese DVDs at the moment, getting ready to go out too.

I'm being lazy. I don't need to leave the flat until 5pm. I'm going out for dinner with sister and then we are going to life drawing, which I'm really looking forward to.

Oh fun, what is it you draw at the classes? Is it always people?

It's always people. The venue provides models and chairs and you just drop in and draw. Lots of artists at various stages go to it, it's really popular.

Oh sounds interesting! I wouldn't be able to do it, I'd feel super uncomfortable drawing someone in the nip, but it's good that you and your sister are doing it! And doing it together too!

You get used to it. I've been doing life drawing for years and had to do it a lot at art school, so the nudes soon became normal.

I only ever drew animals or objects when I was at art class.

I'm going out with my mum, she needs to buy a train ticket because we're going away to Butlins soon and for some reason if you get the ticket in advance it's super cheap compared to if you buy it on the day which makes no sense really.

Butlins will be fun. Is it long until you go away? Looking forward to it?
I go to Arran in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to getting away and hopefully I'll get some inspiration to draw there.

It's a few weeks away. I'm kinda excited, but mostly full of anxiety. We've been burgled a lot in the past so I'm scared that will happen again. Not so much because of the stuff that will be taken, but because Misha is a house cat and I'm scared she'll get hurt or escape through a window and I'll never see her again

You'll have to forgive my appalling lack of geographic knowledge, where is Arran? Is it a country? *stupid*

That would make me anxious too, but hopefully everything will go smoothly and you enjoy your break away.

Arran is an island on the west coast of Scotland, so I'm not exactly traveling far, but it's a nice change from Glasgow.

Oh wow that sounds awesome. Is it small?I mean, obviously it's smaller than Scotland but I mean like is it tiny where you can see the sea easily kind of thing.

It's small, but a good size for walking and exploring. I think it's popular with cyclists too. We're in a hotel by the seaside which I'm looking forward to.

Post offices are always warm. I don't know why that is.
