You mention dial up connection and I can hear the annoying sound in my head. If someone picked up the phone then it would disconnect. Urgh!

My nan had one of the those phones where you turn the numbers. After she passed away I graduated to phones with buttons.

Haha my mum and I were at war over who got the phone (her) or internet (me).

Actually tell a lie, I had one of those indestructible nokia phones and technically they had buttons. A landline with buttons was a novelty for me though.
