I just think a stressful psych admission is not the time to try and stop smoking plus I'm so unpredictable (even to myself 0.o atm) that without that 5 minute calm down I can just see the admission ending badly..
In more chipper news I just found a new set of comedy so I'm cheering up a bit-basically involves watching comedians get drunk :P How are you lovely? |
Smoking is very important when it comes to psych stuff!
The assessment unit near me didn't allow you to leave the ward for the entire time that you were there. It was horrible! They've changed the rules now so you can go outside to smoke. We always used to sneak down to the basement courtyard though I'd we didn't have leave (staff's idea!) My last hospital we could smoke anytime we liked, even right through the night! It was pretty awesome! How are we all today? |
Pissed off as no support worker has turned up and the man who came to fix the gas meter can't do it without a support worker there (they were supposed to be here by 11am so that went well -_-) other than that though enjoying my twin interests of drunk comedians talking about history so trying to distract as best I can. How are you?
|
Plus I have a little electric heater my dad brought round the other day and don't feel the cold much so all is not lost :P
|
Hi everyone.
Katy I hope you get your meter fixed soon. It's stressful when things don't go to plan. |
Ugh. That's annoying Katy!
At least you've found something new to watch! It sounds funny! What's it called? HI Lorraine :) |
Hi Beckie.
|
It's genuinely called Drunk History and it has some EPIC drunk comedians on it, plus geeking out on history :P-having fun watching history as told by completely rat arsed comedians :P
|
Sounds funny
|
T'is indeed :)
|
That does sound good!
All my history knowledge comes from horrible histories |
^ I used to love those!!!!
|
They were great! Have you seen the tv show?
And I think they did a stage show of it a few years ago, I'm watching judge rinder now. Bit of a guilty pleasure! |

I know it's so awful but so entertaining!
|
*rocks*
|
I'm watching St Trinians now. I love this film!
Asda was mental today! |
Now St Trinians I can get on board with-I love that film too!!
|
And I hate supermarkets they're always insane!
|
Just had a home treatment guy never met before ranting about Family Guy and Jehovahs Witnessess 0.o didn't quite know what to say!
|
Once again I'm in my local coffee shop having tea. I had to get out the flat for a while and go to the shops. My washing machine finally arrived today after being delayed, so I have a fun evening of washing ahead of me.
|
Whenever I see the crisis team they end up ranting about some crap! Once had to explain what I played on the 'playstation' (it's an xbox) and explain the storyline to assassins creed which is not the easiest game to explain!
And the time that the AMHPs were here with me waiting for an ambulance and they asked for my wifi password and we watched Jeremy kyle. It was a bit awkward! Glad your washing machine finally arrived Lorraine! |
Thanks Beckie.
I've had random conversations with crisis before. It must just be something they like to do. |
Afternoon all.
I am currently binge watching this week's Neighbours. |
Must be some sort of distraction technique they like to do!
Hi Dawn! I don't think I've ever watched neighbours. I'm watching Taskmaster which is hilarious! |
About an hour ago I gave a taxi driver a lolli pop after I'd been in the shop. Not entirely sure why but he was happy...
|
Haha!! Well I'd be happy if someone randomly gave me a lollypop!
|
Well I felt considering the shortness of the journey and shitness of the tip he deserved a reward :P
|
That was very thoughtful of you!
Have you ever seen taskmaster Katy? |
No no I haven't, what is it?
|
It's presented by Greg Davies who is the taskmaster. He gets 5 comedians to do random tasks for example, making a bed while holding hands or paint a horse while riding a horse and just silly but difficult tasks like that. It's one of the only shows that make me properly laugh out loud!
|
Evening all!
|
Hi amy! How was your day at home?
|
I'm still here. Ritzi's not feeling very well so is holed up in the bathroom. It's been nice. Hard but nice.
|
Oh no poor Ritzi!
Glad it's been a nice day. Hopefully you'll be able to go back home again soon! |
Hopefully!
|
It won't be forever. I know it can feel like it at times but it won't!
What are you up to? |
Just waiting on my lift back in.
What're you up to this evening? |
Watching breaking bad until casualty comes on.
Might have a snack. |
I'm back. :(
What did you have for a snack? I'm stuffed to the gills with Chinese. Ugh. |
I had satsumas and a banana.
I wish I had a Chinese though! Sounds much better than fruit! What did you have? |
I like satsumas.
Amy did you enjoy your time home? I know how precious time away from hospital is, so I hope you managed to have a relaxing time. |
It was much nicer than fruit! I had salt and chilli chicken, noodles, a spring roll and a satay stick! More than my stomach can hold! I did share it with Ritzi though.
Time at home was hard. It was nice to be there but thoughts and stuff. |
I can imagine it must have been tough. It sounds like you had some yummy food. I quite fancy some Chinese food now.
|
Mmm that sounds so yummy!!
It will get easier amy x |
Yeah. It was good. I feel guilty now though. Trying not to think too much about it.
|
How are you guys this evening?
|
I'm ok. Now I have my new washing machine I'm frantically catching up on washes.
|
Oh no. There's nothing worse than getting behind on laundry! Especially in the winter!
|
I know. Thankfully my sister lives in a flat four doors away, so I managed to use hers sometimes.
