Voldemort 28-11-2016 08:33 PM

I don't have an advent calendar this year. :(

Buttons. 28-11-2016 08:43 PM

I'm hoping my mum will give me one and to my grandma-we have a sort of tradition 'cos none of us is overly keen on chocolate getting these charity calenders (bit more expensive but worth it) and every day you open it tells you something your money has paid for, like a water pump, a baby's hat, food for a day etc etc. Sounds a bit twee but we all enjoy it.

Voldemort 28-11-2016 08:45 PM

That sounds really lovely. Reminds me of the year I asked my parents for chickens and goats instead of a present. But my parents surprised me with art stuff alongside it.

That is so lovely!

Cacoethes 28-11-2016 08:49 PM

That's a really nice tradition! What a fabulous idea!

That's really lovely amy!

Voldemort 28-11-2016 09:07 PM

There's not much in Ireland that I've seen for that sort of thing though. It's done a lot more in England.

Cacoethes 28-11-2016 09:14 PM

I didn't realise England was so different from Ireland until I started talking to you!
My dad's family are all very irish! Never been though.

Voldemort 28-11-2016 09:30 PM

Ireland is beautiful. You should visit sometime.

not_so_insig 28-11-2016 09:38 PM

I have two advent calendars :p

Cacoethes 28-11-2016 09:40 PM

Me and Chels are planning to go to Ireland sometime next year. It does look like a beautiful place!

2 advent calanders! Lucky!

Voldemort 28-11-2016 09:42 PM

I demand that you share your advent calendars with me!

not_so_insig 28-11-2016 11:49 PM

Nah Amy I will have all the noms come Thursday.

Actually I have 3 advent calendars but one is a yankee candle one.

I don't even have one advent calendar, my mum won't buy me one anymore ( I think it's her job) but I might have to get myself one this year.

not_so_insig 29-11-2016 12:19 AM

My mum is the same so I had to buy myself one. I couldn't quite decide which one hence why I have more than one.

HopeRises 29-11-2016 12:48 AM

I'm going to buy myself one as well. Love a good advent calendar.

Bellatrix 29-11-2016 03:46 AM

I have a Yankee candle advent calendar. Can't wait to start.

[Luna] 29-11-2016 05:22 AM

Omg I am so jealous! That sounds awesome! How much was it?

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 10:25 AM

A Yankee candle advent calander sounds amazing!

not_so_insig 29-11-2016 11:47 AM

I have a yankee candle one too. They are about £25 in the shops but cheaper on amazon. I bought mine from amazon.

I am awake because I am going to meet my friend today. She is going to give me my Christmas presents. I haven't seen her for over 6 months though I text her regularly.

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 05:08 PM

Hope you have/had a good time with your friend! :)

I had college this morning and now back home and watching the hunger games mockingjay part 2. Only ever watched part of it before

Unbreakable. 29-11-2016 05:09 PM

That movie isn't very good, I'm afraid. Ruined the whole franchise for me as I liked the other three movies.

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 05:14 PM

Oh no! I really liked all the other ones.

Unbreakable. 29-11-2016 05:23 PM

I thought the movie was fine until the last 45 ish minutes made me roll my eyes so hard they fell out of their sockets.

Unbreakable. 29-11-2016 05:24 PM

Then again, I was mostly busy staring at Natalie Dormer anyway tbh :P

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 05:27 PM

Haha!!

I'm freezing. The house is taking forever to warm up!

Unbreakable. 29-11-2016 05:28 PM

It is bloody cold here too.
And the weather is tricking you as well, it is super sunny so when I look out the window I have to assume it's not overly cold.

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 05:38 PM

Yep it was really sunny today!
But everything was frosted over this morning, like everything was white!
And I just wore a hoodie today for some reason so I was sooo cold waiting for the buses! Mainly my toes though! Gonna have to start layering up the socks!
I need to start wearing my winter coat.

Unbreakable. 29-11-2016 05:44 PM

Jeebus, why would you leave the house in just a hoodie????
Fluffy socks is where it's at :P

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 06:57 PM

I'm not sure. It seemed like a good idea at the time! (Story of my life...)
I need some fluffy socks!
It's warmed up now :)

Unbreakable. 29-11-2016 07:01 PM

Yep, I think that pretty much sums up your life ...

That's good, though if you start to feel cold again just set your house on fire.

Like £12 on Groupon

I'm wearing fresh pjs. they smell amazing and are fleecy.

not_so_insig 29-11-2016 07:32 PM

I met my friend. We didn't do much just went to a cafe in a shopping centre and talked. I was early so I decided to do some shopping in the tesco that was there. Unfortunately my friend had the same idea so we saw each other in tesco!

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 07:41 PM

Fresh PJs are the best!!

What a coincidence Dawn! Great minds think alike and all that!

I finished watching Hunger Games mockingjay part 2. Wasn't impressed tbh.

Voldemort 29-11-2016 07:51 PM

Evening all.

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 07:53 PM

Hey amy! How are you?

Voldemort 29-11-2016 07:56 PM

Hey, best not ask how I am. ;) how are you?

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 08:09 PM

I'm ok thanks! Got to leave for slimming world in a bit but it's sooo cold outside!!

Been up to much?

Voldemort 29-11-2016 08:27 PM

It's a refreshing cold though. Hope slimming world goes ok.

Sketchy 29-11-2016 08:37 PM

Evening all.

Voldemort 29-11-2016 08:40 PM

Hi Lorraine, how are you?

Sketchy 29-11-2016 08:44 PM

Trying to distract myself from panic, but ok.
How are you? Doing any more writing?

Voldemort 29-11-2016 08:50 PM

I hope your panic eases a bit.

No, I've not got my novel here with me. Maybe I should get Ritzi to bring it in. I'm not feeling very creative though.

Sketchy 29-11-2016 08:54 PM

Even if ritzi could bring you a notebook to scribble ideas in would be good.

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 08:56 PM

It is quite refreshing. And I wore my big coat instead of just a hoodie which helped!

HI Lorraine :)
I agree with the scribbling down ideas thing.

Sketchy 29-11-2016 08:58 PM

Hi Beckie.

Sketchy 29-11-2016 08:59 PM

A big coat is needed in this weather.

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 09:09 PM

Yes definitely! I will certainly not be going out in just a hoodie again!

not_so_insig 29-11-2016 09:25 PM

Very sensible Beckie.

Cacoethes 29-11-2016 09:35 PM

:-D

How is everyone? I'm watching holby.

Unbreakable. 29-11-2016 09:36 PM

Told you so re the movie, Beckie.
