tamobhuuta 01-06-2023 05:06 PM

Well done for all the activities Cacoethes.

I'm glad you got cat cuddles and were able to read osc.

long road 01-06-2023 05:08 PM

I am doing okish still symptomatic but not getting any worse, potentially a tiny bit better. Manage to eat a few ready to eat snacks in lieu of lunch and now going to order delivery for an early.dinnee as both of us are exhausted.

Yay for reading and cat cuddles Lindsay.
are more cat cuddles an option?

Cacoethes 01-06-2023 05:10 PM

Thanks!

It was stuff that needed doing.
It's fine. I don't really have anything to do tomorrow apart from picking up a meal deal for Saturday. So I'll be able to get plenty of rest!

What are you ordering jen?

long road 01-06-2023 05:22 PM

We are getting pasta and garlic bread from an Italian place. Should be her ein half an hour. There are definite benefits to living within 10 minutes of a city centre, even in a smaller city. So many food options!!

tamobhuuta 01-06-2023 05:26 PM

(Actually I lied about not having soft drinks. Last summer when it was really hot I drank squash in the garden)

nonperson 01-06-2023 05:33 PM

Mmmm pasta delivered to the door!

I'm going to raid M&S later so will probably pick up some pasta-y goodness too and possibly garlic dough balls. Yum. And maybe a sweet treat because I was thinking all day about the muffins they sell at work but didn't have the courage to go buy one.

long road 01-06-2023 05:34 PM

Squash isn't quite a soft drink in my book more a water enhancer, soft drinks make me think of fizzy drinks or mixed juices.

But anyway it is nice to have something cool in the garden. We have our gazebo up now for shade, partner put it up in Monday, hopefully I feel well enough to hang out in garden tomorrow.

long road 01-06-2023 05:35 PM

Oooh those m&s doughballs do sound really good from yours and Becki's description NP. I say treat yourself!

Cacoethes 01-06-2023 05:36 PM

Yummy! Hope you enjoy it!

Squash isn't a soft drink!

Definitely go for the doughballs np!

tamobhuuta 01-06-2023 05:48 PM

Ooo doughballs!

not_so_insig 01-06-2023 06:08 PM

Hello all. I am slowly cleaning my flat but been as I have a dull headache I am not in the mood. Just gotta put my dishes away, tackle the laundry, finish tidying my bedroom and tidy up my living room. Oh and put the number sticker on the wheelie bin.

long road 01-06-2023 06:14 PM

I say take it easy the rest of the day Dawn.

I had dinner was tasty but I found eating it a bit hard because act of eating tired me out.

nonperson 01-06-2023 06:58 PM

Hopefully it has helped to replenish some energy though.

long road 01-06-2023 07:03 PM

Maybe a little bit. I think what I really need is sleep but have to wait until 8pm to take my night meds as they need to be at a consistent time. And then going to see if I can snooze.

Cacoethes 01-06-2023 07:18 PM

I hope the food helped jen.
8pm isn't too far away now!

I am back from taekwondo. It was good!

not_so_insig 01-06-2023 07:21 PM

Hopefully you will sleep ok Jen. I am going to take some meds too for my dull ache. See if it makes any difference. I have now put the number on my wheelie bin and done the dishes. Plus cleaned the kitchen sink and done some of the laundry.

nonperson 01-06-2023 08:14 PM

Productive evenings everyone!

I've been out, got food and parcels and am now not going to move from the sofa. =)

Cacoethes 01-06-2023 08:23 PM

Well done np!
I think you've earned not moving from the sofa!

not_so_insig 01-06-2023 08:24 PM

Well done nonperson! I have done nearly all my cleaning - just one set of laundry left to do.

nonperson 01-06-2023 08:26 PM

I have a cat on my shoulders. He's stopping me from getting food. I'm not sure what the protocol is for this situation... Move him or not?!

tamobhuuta 01-06-2023 08:27 PM

I think you should move the cat. Sadly.

nonperson 01-06-2023 08:33 PM

He moved himself! He was nice and warm on my neck and purring in my ear. ^.^

Cacoethes 01-06-2023 08:37 PM

You can't move a cat. It's the law!
What's for dinner?
I had a plant based burrito. It was sooo good!
The reduced section was fruitful today!

long road 01-06-2023 08:55 PM

Properly ready for bed now done my meds and my teeth and all that. Did get distracted and tidy my meds on the bedside table because they were getting out of hand. Fan is on with window open a tiny crack for ventilation. Now to just attempt to get comfy and relax towards sleep.

I will bid you all goodnight and hopefully not stil be awake in a few hours and come back on because I am bored/going mad

nonperson 01-06-2023 09:11 PM

Goodnight Jen. Fingers crossed for a restful sleep.

I had carbonara and dough balls.

Never had a burrito!

Cacoethes 01-06-2023 09:13 PM

Goodnight jen! Sleep well! *crosses fingers*

Ooh love a carbonara!
And we all know how i feel about doughballs XD

How?? They are messy but so good!

nonperson 01-06-2023 09:35 PM

I don't know how! I dunno how I feel about messy food. Maybe that will be my next food adventure.

Cacoethes 01-06-2023 09:43 PM

I'd recommend trying it at least once!

nonperson 01-06-2023 09:46 PM

I should!

Cat is trampling on my doughballs.

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 05:13 AM

Oh nooo!

I woke up at 4:30am for some reason.
Did attempt to get back to sleep, but wasn't happening :plain:

long road 02-06-2023 08:42 AM

Morning!

Sorry you woke up so early and couldn't drift back off Beckie, it's so irritating when that happens.

I woke up a few times during the night but in total got around 8 and a half hours between 10:30pm and 8:30am. Not quite enough to catch up on the day of basically no sleep but a good start. And I only needed my inhaler a couple of times.

Got to get up and have breakfast now as my two new meds need to be taken with food and first thing in the morning.

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 08:44 AM

It is very irritating!
And its made me feel rather unwell!
Luckily all i need to do today is asda.

That sounds positive-ish!
Do you think you'll be able to nap today?

What's for breakfast?

long road 02-06-2023 09:46 AM

Glad you can have a relaxed day to recover. I know the not sleeping enough making you feel unwell all to well.

Hopefully I might nap. Depends on lungs and how wired steroids have made me.

I had Weetabix and sultanas for breakfast

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 09:50 AM

It's so annoying!
Tired, nausea, fuzzy head, headache but feel too sick to take paracetamol. Barely managed my morning meds!

Fingers crossed!

Nice! I haven't had weetabix in forever

tamobhuuta 02-06-2023 09:50 AM

Morning everyone. I misread my watch and almost got up 55 minutes early in a panic.

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 09:54 AM

Morning!
I've done that before!
Do you have much going on today?

tamobhuuta 02-06-2023 09:59 AM

No, just a quiet day. No doctors on the telly sadly, because it's Friday. When will you go to asda?

long road 02-06-2023 10:07 AM

Did you manage any food Beckie? Sometimes eating helps a little with nausea if it's something simple.

Weeetabix is my go to breakfast with some kind of fruit, usually banana but I wasn't feeling banana this morning.

I hate that panic when you misread a clock Tamo! Have you got anything else you could watch at the time Doctors is usually on? Maybe be something on catch up?

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 10:18 AM

Do you have a set time to get up just for yourself then?
I'll probably go to asda after this episode. Get it over and done with.

I had porridge this morning.

I love bananas!

long road 02-06-2023 10:22 AM

I am bananas about bananas I shall probably have one as a snack at some point today. Once when studying I ate 4 bananas in a day. That was probably too many bananas. I wonder if there is a record for how many times bananas are mentioned in one post. If there is I reckon this bananas post might break it XD

I am in a bit of a silly mood this morning XD

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 10:25 AM

I think bananas are probably my favourite fruit!
Also, honeydew melon.

I love a silly mood!
I do get them from lack of sleep, so that may be it for you!

long road 02-06-2023 10:40 AM

I think banana are probably my favourite too.
Oooh melon. I love all melons equally. Apart from watermelon the seeds can be a bit much and the texture isn't a s good as honeydew or cantaloupe or gala.

Might be part of it. Also steroids can cause mania... :P

tamobhuuta 02-06-2023 10:41 AM

I'm watching doctor who. I'm on Peter Capaldi with Bill and Nardol as companions .

long road 02-06-2023 10:46 AM

I find Nardol a bit annoying at times but I really like Bill. I might watch some Doctor Who later. I am part way through Jodie Whittaker's first season at the moment.

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 10:57 AM

Yeah watermelon isn't great. As the name suggests, it's very watery!
The guinea pigs love it though!

Might be it!

Love Peter capaldi.
'These are attack eyebrows!'

tamobhuuta 02-06-2023 11:13 AM

I've never watched Jodie Whittaker because I couldn't imagine a female Doctor. But I like Michelle Gomez as a female Master so I think I will give her a chance when the time comes.

not_so_insig 02-06-2023 11:16 AM

I gone off Doctor Who by the time Capaldi came. But the few Jodie Whittaker ones I have seen I really enjoyed. But not as good as Peter Davison :-p

long road 02-06-2023 11:51 AM

I had a shower! Made me a bit short of breath, but it feels so good to be clean! Taking this as a big win and now resting for a bit and if I feel up to it I may even go out to the garden.

Cacoethes 02-06-2023 12:03 PM

Well done jen!

I've just been to asda.
It was very busy! And this idiot stopped right in the middle of the aisle and put his trolley horizontally across the whole aisle for some strange reason! So i couldn't even squeeze past!
Was still in and out in less than 10 mins though!

tamobhuuta 02-06-2023 12:04 PM

When I've finished the 'modern' doctors, I plan to go back to the 'originals'. I think my brother's got most of them on dvd.

Well done for showering LR.
