Thanks!
Should probably shower. Do something for dinner. Feed dogs. Put chickens away. The usual. Are there any series you've been wanting to watch? Ninja jen! I think some places do message people on weekends? I'm glad you've got that appointment now. Hopefully it will help I'd just feel bad taking up an entire appointment just for that. Even a phone one. |
I guess Nurse may have emailed GP re asthma and then GP was doing his emails on Saturday. Just never had contact outside Monday to Friday before except automated reminders. And it surprised me.
What about an econsult form if your GP does them Just write your queries and they can email, text or phone back as appropriate? |
Hope everyones okay, I had another nap on the sofa. I've been pretty productive though,
washing out on the line bedding washed and now on the airer too batch cooking from the early hours washing up done I'm going for a walk with my neighbour soon, I know a hidden walk I want to show her cos its very much our aesthetic! I'm probably going to Asda tonight too. |
Sister r was late due to shopping. Friend r was also delayed but we had a really good talk.
|
I got a text from a cpn at 9pm once.
It is surprising! I guess monday-friday isn't a lot of time to get everything done if you're a gp! Especially these days. They turned the e consult off months ago for some reason. Shame as i found it so much easier to just explain the issue and i felt better letting them decide how to proceed rather than me calling up asking for an appointment that i may not need. Well done Beth! I hope you enjoy your walk! I'm glad you had a nice talk |
I hope you're finding ways to ease your anxiety, Jen and the appointment goes really well.
eConsult is great when it works, I'm sorry you don't have that option any more, Beckie. You could maybe still phone the surgery and explain things and ask if an appointment face to face/telephone would be appropriate. Would your psych know enough about bloods to explain them? Your health and understanding of your health is important. Well done with everything you've achieved, Beth. Do you need much from Asda? I hope you enjoy your walk. I hope all this hard work helps you sleep well tonight. I'm glad you had a good chat in the end, Tamo. |
Idk. The psychs currently at the cmht are not consultants so maybe they'll be more in tune with the general health stuff than consultants are?
They all still have to do the same training anyway. |
I hope you can work out something that you feel comfortable doing and get some answers if you feel you need them.
|
I talked to my partner who helped me get out of panic mode so I could meditate. And meditating helped quite a bit with the anxiety and I have managed to help get dinner on the stove. Make my sausage and root veg stovie but had to get different sausages this week as they were out of my usuals and I can tell they are a bit lower quality. It's all bubbling away and the alarm should summon me in around 15 minutes.
Well done on your admin / chore conquests today Beth. Hopefully it's a little cooler now it's evening and you can enjoy your walk with neighbour, I was roasting in the sun when I popped out this morning. Chats are important Tamo glad you had a good one with Friend R. Gah at turning off econsult, maybe they didn't have the admin staff. That said mine turned off econsult but got a new version that is basically the same just without the questionnaire part called patient triage so it's worth double checking their website. Well you can always try with the psych and if they have no idea then try the GP sort of thing. |
Well done for talking to your partner, Jen. I am so pleased you did that. I hope you enjoy your dinner, sounds lovely.
|
Well done for talking to your partner. They sound amazing tbh!
Your dinner sounds delicious also Quite possibly. I'll have a look! |
Dinner was delicious, I reedemed myself from last time I cooked it 3 weeks or so ago when I got timings wrong and it burnt to the bottom of the pan!
Currently watching a YouTube where some Americans are trying to narrowboat on a canal. It's amusing. Ninja Beckie. My partner is pretty darn amazing. I am glad I found him, we will have been together 10 years in August. |
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
That does sound amusing! I've driven a narrowboat before. Surprisingly easy. And I've opened and closed the gate things too (totally forgotten the actual name for them) Was a good day out! Wow 10 years! |
I enjoyed their ineptitude. And the gates are called locks, although I am unsure if you spell them like that. I have never driven one but I have walked alongmany different towpaths.
It's like a third of my life we have been together which is kind of crazy we met when I was 18 and a half and we're friends for 2 years and have been in a relationship since I was 20 and a half and now I am 30! |
I thought it was locks!
They're fun to drive. I couldn't live on one though. They are roomier than you'd think but i think it'd get a bit much! I'm not a fan of caravans either for that reason. Just very 'close'. Crazy when you think of it in fractions! I'd love to find a relationship like that. Me and my best friend have been besties for 10 years though! |
Trust your instincts! I reckon I would prefer a canal boat over a caravan to stay in but I am not sure I could handle living in either full time.
I kind of stumbled into mine, met through roleplaying games so maybe you will meet someone through one of your sporting hobbies. The shared interest really helped start our relationship as we spent 7-10 hours together gaming every Sunday before deciding to date. Glad you have O your bestie |
My family lived in a caravan in one of their fields while this house was being built.
My sister and Jasmine shared a room, one brother had a room, one brother had a cabin built and my mum and step dad had a room. Think they ended up being in it for a year. I hated even visiting! Even though it was worth the wait, they said they wouldn't do it again. Think it ended up being a couple of years. They had to get planning permission to tear down the derelict bungalow which took forever and then planning permission to build the actual house. Maybe! It gets difficult as you get older though. Most of the good ones have already gone! |
Eurgh ayear in a caravan that didn't move! The good part of living in a caravan is getting to travel.
I mean my partner was 28 when I was 20 and a half. You are only 3 years older than that. Dating does seem harder these days with the app scene etc. Though. |
Think it was actually a couple of years. Seems like forever ago now!
I did tinder for a bit. Then kept getting ghosted before i even had a chance to say anything weird! I'm kinda talking to a guy atm. But he's really boring and his spelling is atrocious. But he's also very sweet and cares a lot. |
Quote:
Also yikes to living in a caravan for so long! That must have been so tricky for them all. |
I did have to double check with my brain that fractions was indeed the correct term for that particular bit of maths XD
(Yes, i was doubting that ⅓ was a fraction....) Yeah they all hated it! But sucked it up! Even did one Christmas in it! Mum did a whole roast in that one tiny kitchen! |
Most of the muscles on my right side have locked up so I have retreated to bed with help to get there. But I have had a pretty good day today.
|
Yay for a good day!
I'm home from Asda, while my food cooks I'm going to bring the washing in and put fresh bedding on :) |
Ooh love that fresh bedding feeling!
|
Even better, I washed the actual duvet and it's been in the sun all day!
|
The freshest of fresh, delightful!
|
Morning everyone
|
Morning Cacoethes, how are you?
|
Morning. I'm ok thanks.
Had a pretty productive morning. Washing is hung up to dry now. Emptied dishwasher. Did all my animal jobs. Had to clean out the bin with bleach which it looks like my mum hasn't done in a very long time. Just put some brownies in the oven. How are you? |
Busy morning! I've had a shower, breakfast and tea with Dad. Now I need to do the dishwasher. Got Mass later.
|
Hope mass is ok..
I don't really know what to do with myself. Was gonna walk to the country park for a drink but i really cba anymore. |
Morning Everyone!
|
What would you do at home?
|
Hi LR! How are you?
|
Eh not the best. My asthma was playing up last night and I didn't get a lot of sleep. Lungs do feel mostly better this morning though so there is that.
|
Morning jen!
I'd probably do some jobs around the house. Go to asda. Maybe see a friend. Spot clean guinea pigs. Do an exercise class possibly. sorry you had a **** night jen. Sounds awful. Can you have a nap today if you need it? |
I might manage a nap. Haven't managed one last couple of days despite trying though so who knows.
I am up and on the sofa but not entirely sure it's the best idea. |
Just do what you can
Have you got any plans for today? |
Can you do any of those things at your mum's Cacoethes?
Take things gently I guess LR? |
Partners parents are meant to be coming round to help him with the garden as the grass has gone crazy. Then we were going to all have a takeaway together. But partner didn't sleep well either, he got up earlier to let me get some rest but had just gone back to bed for a nap.
So unsure if that will happen and other than that no real plans. My asthma is flaring a little bit again which is frustrating. Trying to take it gently as I can. |
Not really tamo.
I am at least a 40 min drive from home, if i could drive, so can't see friends. Co op is the only available shop and it's super expensive so i genuinely cannot afford anything from there atm. No guinea pigs to clean out. No access to any exercise classes. I've done all the house jobs i need to do. There aren't any buses on Sundays so even if i could leave the dogs for that long, i couldn't go anywhere anyway. Sounds like a play it by ear kinda day jen |
Could you do an exercise class from YouTube? Or do taekwondo like run through some forms?
It's a taking it gently and play it by ear day for sure I just hope I can avoid having to contact NHS on a bank holiday weekend, I will do it if I have to but I do not want to spend hours in A&E or at the out of hours GP. |
Hey all
|
I really hope you all find good ways to get through the day and have some enjoyable points.
I didn't sleep well last night. Changed my bedding (thank goodness that's done) and washed my hair. Hi, Beth. How are you? |
I'm sorry everyones having rubbish days!
I'm working at 5 and then going straight to the quiz - but my plans for the rest of the day are to clean the vacuum as its not working, and then vacuum the living room. Depending on the time, I'll go to the charity shop too. |
I hope you have a good day, Beth. What things do you look for in charity shops?
|
Afternoon all.
|
I always look for things that can be Christmas presents, I'm trying to do everything for Christmas from charity shops. I've got some stuff to drop off too.
Hey Insig |
That's a good idea, Beth. I only look for books and get a bit overwhelmed! I hope you have a successful trip.
Hi Dawn, how are you? |
Well, I've fixed the vacuum so thats good! :)
