Glad you’re okay!!
I’ve got loads of someone else’s job done and not that much of mine - but hopefully I can crack on this afternoon. |
I have nothing planned.
I've been to the co op. Chucked the ball around for the dogs. Let the buildery people in to do something with the water(??) They said they were gonna turn the water off when they get set up. They're out the front so idk what's going on XD |
Why are you having to do someone else's job, Beth? I hope you get what you need done this afternoon but don't have to rush.
What are you getting up to Tamo? I really should pour boiling water over my weeds (as a crisis nurse told me that kills them) but there's loads of them and right now I don't want my neighbours to see me. I'm not doing much today. Just washed my hair earlier and been online plus trying to read. |
Did you get what you needed at the co op, Beckie? Are you managing to occupy yourself?
|
I’m annoyed I spent my lunchbreak reading instead of having a nap in the car. I’m super tired
|
I find it's better to just gets things over and done with lindsay!
You said you don't want your neighbours to see you right now, but is that a thing you ever want? Lol So may as well just do it! When do you finish beth? Co op did not have the main things i went for. Which was bananas and yogurt. Disappointing. But i got bread, coffee, babybels, coke zero and fanta zero. And the rest of the ingredients for brownies. I'm going to try and make some on Tuesday for when the fam come back from holiday. |
Sad times to no bananas, wish I could send you some of my bananas through the internet. The heat means they are ripening quickly and they are just at the right point to eat, soon I fear they will be too squishy for my liking.
|
It's always a risk with bananas!
And avocados. They had the fair trade bananas. And obvs i am not against fair trade as a concept, but they just looked to be tiny and were far more expensive than the other bananas would have been, had they been there! And i just refuse to pay those prices for subpar bananas. |
No point over paying for tiny bananas.
Anything else exciting happen? |
Exactly!
Nah. The people fitting the water trough couldn't do it because there was a miscommunication about ordering a part. So mum's going to order it and they'll come back when its arrived. Whenever that may be! My brother should be coming at some point today hopefully. Quite a long drive and i think he's coming after work so idk. I hope so! |
I read my book in the garden, finished it :)
|
Nice!
I'm in the garden listening to kerrang radio. With a coffee and a vape! |
Ah tradespeople. Everything has to be just so! Still at least that means your water will be back on.
Hope you get to see your brother. I have managed to stay out of bed today, although got up late. Partners parents have just popped around so having a drink and a chat. |
It's a vital part that they need tbf!
The water trough is going to be self filling. So they need the connector But yes, the water is back! Thanks Well done! I hope you're having a nice time I'm trying to get some sun on my.legs. they're like ghost white compared to my arms that have been in the sun XD |
I was sat in the sun in a long sleeve dress and tights but I suppose my face might have tanned!
|
Will you be able to nap after work, Beth? Or have an early night?
Finding nice bananas is tricky. That's nice of you to be trying to make brownies for your family coming back, Beckie. I did manage to put some boiling water on some the weeds but am going to have to do it in stages. I hope you see your brother today. Sounds like a nice day, Tamo. Well done for finishing your book. Did you enjoy it? Well done, Jen. I hope you're enjoying your day. |
I have limited clothing options! Basically just jeans and t shirts
Well done for doing some of the weeds! |
Jeans and t-shirts are all I ever wear other than a hoodie or zipper or jumper. Or even a jacket which some people need to add to their wardrobe!
|
I'm home!! :)
|
Yay! Home is good. <3
|
Hi Ahimsa :)
My book was good thanks osc. |
Yeah same. Plus hoodie/jacket.
And converse/vans! Yay for being home beth! I have just given the dogs their disgusting raw food. Heart and tripe. Eugggghhhh |
Was a nice afternoon. But I am not really my best under the surface. Just keeping busy and trying not to think about it at the moment. But at same time need to try not to overdo it.
Sort of resting. Am watching some TV. Then later will help make dinner |
Do you have another book lined up. Tamo?
OMG how can dogs even like that? You're doing very well with all the things you need to do. Please look after yourself, Jen. Be careful not to let everything inside erupt. What are you watching on TV? What's for dinner? |
I hope you manage an appropriate amount of rest jen!
Dogs are gross. Think my brother is coming. It's like a 50 min drive though. Depending on traffic. |
He must really like you to drive for that long!
|
I am sort of looking after myself. My shoulder and hand muscles have tightened up like crazy so have covered myself in heat packs and looks like I won't be helping cook dinner. I am watching some old episodes of midsomer murders it's rather far fetched and over the top but I like it. My parents used to watch them when I was growing up plus they filmed a lot of it near where I grew up so there is a nostalgia aspect. And I enjoy all the murder mystery type shows.
Dinner is meant to be Bolognese |
Sort of looking after yourself is better than nothing. It must be hard to keep everything in check. I'm glad you're watching something that you like and I hope you enjoy your dinner.
|
Yeah he's a good bro!
That sounds painful jen :( I love Midsomer murders! Wouldn't want to live there though XD What do the estate agents tell people?? |
How many siblings do you have, Beckie?
|
Well I didn't actually grow up in midsomer XD they just filmed it in the surrounding villages. But yeah the crime rate is ridiculous!!! I swear they have more murders than in London!
It is painful has yet to hit really painful thankfully. |
Will you maybe be able to get on top of it without the pain getting any worse, Jen?
|
I have 4! 3 brothers, 1 sister.
I know jen! I meant in the fictional village. Lol! Maybe the property is super cheap there because of all the murder. Think a lot of millennials would risk it just to own a house! Eep that doesn't sound good :ermm: |
Hopefully I can get on top of it Lindsay but it depends if I can get the muscles to relax or not. If not I have to resort to the strong painkillers I have on prescription but I can write off the rest of the evening if I do that. But they do help me manage the pain.
Taken some paracetamol to help me manage while hopefully the heat makes the muscles relax, I have tried stretching but that hasn't worked yet. Wel it is a series of neighbouring villages, but I wouldn't risk it. Midsomer County I think. Although that said it's generally people who have been in the village and involved in it's politics a long time who get murdered. So as an outsider who kept to themselves you might be safe! |
Good evening all.
Beckie, I've got to say Vaseline intensive care is indeed the best hand cream out there. My hands are always dry and horrible from work and that's what I use. |
Evening NP
|
Idk. I've lived in small villages and it can get a bit 'Hot Fuzz' sometimes!
The herts village was very much like that to outsiders! Here is friendlier! Hey np! Yes it is awesome! How are you doing? |
Hey Jen and Beckie.
I'm tired and fried from work and need a shower and some food. I have finally remembered to defrost my remaining M&S garlic doughballs <3 Are the dogs and chickens behaving today? |
Oohhh the doughballs <3
I hope you enjoy them! They are! We'll see how the chickens do at bedtime.... |
I'm sure I will. I have an M&S pasta ready meal to go with them. Treat!
Is that the only time they don't conform to their human-imposed schedule? |
Oooh get you with the m&s!
Chickens are lawless creatures |
True it can get a bit hot fuzz on occassion but in midsomer murders the plots are generally more twisty and as such go deeper than we killed him because he was an outsider. That said it was a factor in one I watched last night, how dare he my family has been here for generations he moved here only 40 years ago sort of thing.
Ooh doughballs and a posh pasta ready meal sounds a great combo NP. In good news from me my pain is mostly under control it's still there but more manageable than half an hour ago. The heat is helping loads. |
Hello all. Sorry I haven't posted before now today just been busy. I have a new duvet cover on my bed and I have just finished putting all my appointments that I have for the next month in my diary.
|
Osc, I do have another book lined up, fairy tales retold. It caught my eye in the library.
|
They filmed part of Midsomer Murders where I work once. Still waiting for a murder to happen... I'm surprised it hasn't already tbh!
I'm glad to hear your pain is more manageable now, Jen! |
Makes sense NP they film on a lot of the counties that are London-ish. Do you know what episode it was?
|
Do love a bit of twisty murder!
That is good news jen! I hope it continues! They film things in my town sometimes. But only super boring things like homes under the hammer or things about cereal (because of the mill) World's End was filmed in the town next to my old town. Nearly accidentally walked into filming once. And had to get the train while the train station front was still a pub for the set. I honestly don't know why i didn't take any photos of any of this. |
I have absolutely no idea what episode it was. There's a stretch of road that they put "Midsomer" sign posts up on, that's all I know! I drove through it to work for a few days. This was several years ago now...
World's End as in... Simon Pegg? Cereal is exciting! I... won't go into all the cool things they film here though =P Most of them I have no idea about but some I do and then I recognise it in a film. Weird but so cool. I'm never allowed on set though D= |
Yep, that world's end!
Was filmed in 2 towns, i lived in the other one for a while but hadn't spent much time there in a while. Have been in some of the pubs though! And one of the pubs is a very small cinema irl (literally 2 screens) Apparently when they first showed world's end in that cinema, everyone stood up and cheered! XD It was the school disco themed one. Cereal isn't all that exciting. But tbh, some of the cereal is very nice (strawberry country crisp. Nom) You should demand a small part in the next thing they film there! :-D |
Fair. Midsomer Murders has been going since 1997 so it could have been any time. Although I am not to fond of anything after 2010 when they changed the lead detective to be the old leads cousin. Which is season 14 onwards.
I have been through a film set they turned part of my uni into a police station for Broadchurch and I walked through the fake metal detectors. But not while they were filming although my friend got to be an extra. Cereal is delicious and possibly my favourite food type. |
